The priest's divine arts can indeed accelerate healing, lift curses, and even regenerate severed limbs, but they struggle with long-term festering and infected wounds.

Without the assistance of medication, the pure Holy Light can actually accelerate bacterial growth instead.

This is why, after saving the first batch of captives, Luo Yan did not immediately cast several large-scale Group Healing Techniques but instead handed them over to the more specialized military chaplains.

For bodies weakened to the extreme, the all-encompassing Holy Light might not save them and could instead send them away.

Though the people of this world have no concept of microbiology, they have nevertheless gathered experience from a life force perspective.

This is also why, in this era without hospitals, while priests can fulfill the role of doctors, the ancient profession of the herbalist, which dates back to the First Epoch, has yet to be replaced.

"Medications?" Erin frowned and said, "What about the Church?"

"The Church has done its best to find solutions. The monasteries throughout the Spinor Earl's Domain are working overtime to produce herbs, but the herb stock is extremely limited..."

There was a faint worry between Erin's brows.

"Can't we rush supplies from Thunder City? And what about the local Pharmacist Guild in Cold Crow City? We could purchase some from the populace."

Theresa shook her head with a difficult expression.

"The stock in Cold Crow City was exhausted on the first day. As for Thunder City… even before this campaign began, the price of magic potions had started to rise, and now they're simply unavailable even if you have the money."

Seeing Erin's complex expression, Luo Yan timely interjected.

"I'm afraid it's not just a matter of price. The sheer number of casualties this time has far exceeded the capacity of Campbell Duchy's existing medical system. Even if the Royal Family is willing to pay ten times the price, without enough raw materials and pharmacists, there's no way to conjure up so many life-saving potions from thin air."

Theresa solemnly nodded. Although she couldn't articulate things so thoroughly, this indeed was the situation the duchy currently faced.

"Those priests helping us treat the wounded have said the same. Although they've blamed the railway for monopolizing the monastery's pharmacy, arguing over whose fault it is now is pointless. Sir Wesley has agreed to squeeze some medicines and medical personnel from military supplies as long as it doesn't affect soldier treatment, but this still leaves a significant gap with what we currently lack."

After a pause, she continued in a difficult tone.

"If we don't have enough medications and pharmacists, I'm afraid we will have to make choices among the wounded..."

Her words were tactful, yet they still deepened the heavy atmosphere.

Just as Erin found herself at a crossroads, a messenger rushed over, breathless, breaking the silence.

"Report... Your Highness!"

Erin immediately looked at him.

"What's the matter?"

"From the south of us... a unit has arrived."

The messenger had a bizarre expression, as if unsure how to describe what he saw, only able to ambiguously relay what he knew.

"They're carrying a strange banner. They appear to be military, about five hundred in scale, but they carry no weapons. Their leader said they're here to support frontline medical efforts and requested passage... However, Sir Wesley can't find their unit number or where they landed, so he asked me to see if you have any insight."

A mysterious force suddenly appearing in the Campbell Duchy would certainly be huge news centuries later, but in Aus Calendar 1054, it was not considered very big news, merely curious... Where did they come from?

Most mercenary groups or monk groups enter openly from the port, under the Lord's surveillance, then station and depart, but this unit appeared out of nowhere and came so close to the frontline.

Though they claimed to come with the banner of aid, no one dared to be careless.

"Medical support?" Erin's eyes brightened, quickly asking, "Is it a church reinforcement?"

"No... doesn't seem so." The messenger shook his head, gesturing with his fingers, "They claim to be from the 'Saint Colin Hospital Knight Order', and the banner shows two crossed swords pointing downward. The Northeast Shore of Vortex Sea has no such emblem; we can only assume they come from a more distant place."

Erin looked in surprise at Colin beside her.

"Are they your people?"

She didn't recall the Colin Duchy being involved in the alliance's action, but if Prince Colin took action, everything would make sense.

Luo Yan of course knew what had happened, but considering that he had also been at the frontline recently, and was with Erin, his face naturally displayed appropriate surprise.

"Two crossed swords pointing downward... Saint Sith above, it seems it's not just us who are concerned about the suffering Holy Light people."

However, speaking of Vivian indeed had a quirky taste, turning the Blood Race's Sharp Teeth into two downward swords, riding the coattails of Holy Light's fame.

"Let's go, let's have a look."

Seeing the bewildered Erin, Luo Yan wore a mysterious smile, purposefully keeping something back.

"If those people really came to deliver medicine, they've truly done us a great favor."
