The Lord Demon King is Unfathomable!
Chapter 2082 - 556: But the MVP Was Still Snatched Away_2
Then came the second sound, the third sound!
Thud, thud—
The sounds exploded one after another, transforming into blood-red mandalas blooming in the night, a complete one-sided slaughter!
These Blood Clan Knights were at least Silver Level Peak in strength, with extremely rich combat experience. Even ordinary Gold Level Transcendents might not be able to match them.
And the Knight Captain with silver short hair leading them had Gold Level Peak strength. Her thorn sword danced into a tight spider web, like a tiger in a flock of sheep, mercilessly slashing the incoming elite ratmen.
Fear finally appeared in Shrek's eyes, but he did not retreat. Instead, he locked his gaze firmly on the sinisterly smiling nun.
Just catch that one...
Five elite assassins attempted to sneak behind Vivian. They leaped high, but before they began to fall, an invisible force froze them in mid-air.
"Squeak—!"
They screamed in panic, struggled, their rat eyes filled with fear, devoid of any previous bravado.
Vivian didn't even turn her head, simply smiled and snapped her fingers, just like her esteemed brother.
"Truly... not elegant at all."
Snap!
The crisp snap shattered the night sky. The bodies of the five ratman assassins instantly erupted with gruesome blood holes, their blood forcibly drawn from their veins, woven into a bouquet blooming in the night sky.
The threads in the air were like invisible crossbow arrows. In an instant, another dozen ratmen were pierced through their chests, offering their hearts to the nun standing amidst the blood shadows.
Broken limbs and organs rained down in the night sky.
Watching the debris falling with the wind, Vivian's fingertips gently moved the blood and flesh of dozens of ratmen aside.
If that truly was a nun, there couldn't be a more evil demon than her.
Witnessing this scene resembling Hell, Shrek's fur stood on end. He finally realized what a terrifying opponent he faced.
Platinum Level!
This one is at least Platinum Level!
And probably has something incredible hidden!
Fear imprinted deep in his genes awakened, the instinct of prey when facing a top predator.
Shrek didn't spare a glance at his slaughtered subordinates, donned his iron canister, and dashed into the thickest part of the forest without looking back!
Escape!
Must flee!
Once inside the dense woods, once in the rat hole, no one can catch a ratman determined to escape!
Shrek had clearly forgotten how he was caught here, solely focused on fleeing for his life.
The roaring wind swept past his ears, the screams behind grew distant, and just as he was about to relax, he suddenly hit an invisible wall.
"Boom!"
A dull thud!
Shrek was bounced out by the reaction force, landing heavily in the mud mixed with fallen leaves, his nose completely numb.
Pain crept up to his brow after the fact, leaving no time to check his injuries, he took a few quick steps forward and stretched his hand tremblingly ahead.
There was nothing there.
But when he tried to stretch his claw forward again, an invisible force collided with his fingertip, causing him to stumble and fall backward.
A barrier!
Fear was written all over Shrek's face.
Their escape route had long been sealed!
"No..."
Shrek's knees gave way, kneeling on the ground, kowtowing repeatedly.
"Don't kill me! Don't kill me! I'm forced!"
He sobbed as he held the iron canister containing the "Black Death God" high, like offering a treasure.
"Shrek surrenders! Shrek was ordered by someone! I have information! You don't know how evil those Tomb Guardians are, I know everything!"
In a ratman's creed, there's no loyalty, only survival.
As long as they can live, selling out anyone is fair.
Right then, a cold laugh suddenly rose above the forest treetops like a ghost crawling onto Shrek's neck, causing all his fur to stand on end.
"I knew that rats are never to be trusted."
Under the moonlight, gray silhouettes emerged like ghosts within the forest.
They wore tattered gray robes, pale masks on their faces, exuding a decaying aura akin to the undead.
They were undoubtedly alive, yet more ghostly than the living, numbering thirty in total. Among them stood a masked middle-aged man, emanating an aura more terrifying than the nun standing amidst the blood puddles!
Upon hearing that voice, the pleading Shrek was scared to his core, almost dropping the iron canister he had been holding.
Merlin!
These guys had been following all along, never having trusted him!
Merely used him as bait to test the waters!
Merlin didn't spare a glance at the fully-armed knights or the almost entirely massacred little rats.
He looked at Shrek, his gaze cold, as if looking at a dead rat.
"Since you failed, take the secret to the grave."
He raised his gaunt right hand, gently pointed his forefinger.
No incantation at all, a black death ray instantly erupted from the ring on his finger, directed at Shrek's forehead!
Shrek's eyes widened, not even having the chance to scream.
