The Lord Demon King is Unfathomable!
Chapter 2095 - 559: Black Hand vs. Black Hand Showdown (3)
"Undead! It's the undead!"
Hearing the exclamation, the captain ignored the injury on his leg, grabbed his weapon, and rushed towards the cave entrance.
Dickbin followed closely behind.
By the light of the burning flames outside the cave, they finally saw clearly the "things" pouring into the trench, and their blood froze in an instant.
These were not ordinary undead.
They were creatures forcibly stitched together from countless broken limbs, their rotting bellies sewn shut with rough black thread, barely containing the dark green viscera.
Some had rat heads attached to human arms, while others were the opposite, with rat bodies bearing human heads.
They crawled through the inferno, oblivious to pain, issuing eerie hisses from their throats, making some of the less mentally resilient recruits nauseous.
To call these things undead, even the undead would find it blasphemous...
"Prepare for battle!"
The captain roared, pulling the bolt and shouting loudly as he pulled the trigger.
"We cannot let those things get near the cave entrance!"
He didn't need to remind them at all.
Sir Dickbin had already pulled the trigger.
Boom—!
The muzzle flash lit up his panic-stricken face as he hastily inserted a paper shell fixed ammunition into the chamber and, after pulling the bolt, fired another shot!
Although the Roxey 1054 Type Rifle had a slightly slower rate of fire than the 1053 model, it was still much faster than traditional muzzle-loading firearms.
Yet even so, faced with tens of thousands of sewn rats, the surviving soldiers seemed outnumbered and overpowered.
Tens of thousands of malformed ratmen, stitched together, surged over the charred hillside like a breached tide of corpses.
They trampled over the bodies of their comrades, issuing a tooth-chilling hiss, as filthy pus seeped from their stitched flesh.
The imbalance in forces was of a completely different magnitude!
Even though these hastily stitched monsters weren't particularly strong in combat, they were enough to drown Sir Dickbin's unit in a tide of corpses!
It didn't take much effort for one sewn rat to break through the defenses, its sharp claws piercing a young soldier's skull.
Scalding blood splashed onto Sir Dickbin's face, and although that sewn rat was quickly skewered through the head with a bayonet, it still sent a chill to his heart.
It's over—
Just as this thought crossed his mind, a string of bright fireworks suddenly lit up on another hill in the distance.
What was that?
As Sir Dickbin pondered that glow, a tearing sound suddenly rang out overhead.
A dense rain of bullets crashed down from the sky like a torrential downpour, instantly mowing down the sewn rats that had jumped into the trench!
Flesh and blood flew, severed limbs danced upon the trench!
Dozens of sewn rats at the forefront didn't even have time to scream before being swept into that invisible grinder!
The pressure on the front line was drastically reduced.
It was at this moment that a long beastly cry echoed from the sky, causing everyone standing at the entrance of the rat hole to look up in astonishment.
In the night sky, four massive shadows whipped through the air, tearing apart the smoke-laden night sky with wingspans nearly ten meters wide!
Before anyone could make out what was flying in the sky, several heavy oak barrels dropped from the claws beneath those four shadows.
The barrels smashed into the most crowded part of the corpse tide, erupting into orange-yellow flames with a boom!
The explosion's shockwave instantly engulfed an area of a hundred meters, wiping out hundreds of sewn rats along with the trenches at the foot of the hill!
[One Mouthful of Chemical Pool]: "Hahaha! Airstrike incoming!"
[Pure Mother Donkey]: "Damn, brother, this thing you made is amazing!"
[Roast Lamb Skewer]: "What's in that?!"
[One Mouthful of Chemical Pool]: "Yellow explosive—plus a bit of magic!"
Strange gibberish came from the sky, mixed with the noise of wind and explosions, like the spell of an evil mage.
Sir Dickbin couldn't care to wipe the bloodstains from the corners of his eyes, staring intently at the sky, trying to make out the silhouettes of those flying creatures.
Winged Dragons?
No, that's not right!
Their necks weren't that long, their wings looked shorter, and their silhouettes were more humanoid. They seemed to be... Lizardmen from the Wind Roar Tribe?
Sir Dickbin wasn't surprised by the appearance of the wind lizards, what surprised him was the group of beings riding on the wind lizards' backs... He felt they were neither Lizardmen nor human.
However, the ground fire was too bright and the sky too dark. Even squinting his eyes to a slit, he could only see a few vague and wild silhouettes.
"What was that just now?"
Gazing dazedly at the pile of sewn rat corpses shot to pieces in the distance, a young soldier lowered his rifle and murmured.
The comrade standing next to him wore the same expression as if he'd seen a ghost, staring blankly at the cascading barrages of bullets—
Their rifles, advanced as they were, were utterly useless here.
Saint Sis above...
Was there an entire battalion of gunners flying in the sky?!
"The bullets seem to be coming from the opposite hillside!"
"What kind of gun can shoot that far?!"
"I don't know, but I'm more amazed at their rate of fire..."
The Ryan people in Aus Calendar 1054 hadn't witnessed the revolver machine guns of the Great Graveyard.
In this regard, the Lizardmen of the Gutaf Kingdom were indeed ahead of them, experiencing the latest version first.
Before these young Ryan lads could recover from the shock of the "airstrike," an even more bizarre scene unfolded.
With a tsunami-like roar, countless white figures suddenly charged out of the darkness at the flank of the position!
