Chapter 2002: There Is a Volcano on the Map Puzzle

"Great! I did it!"

Little Taotie’s cheer echoed from the cabin.

Hua Jinyan and Feng Qi entered the cabin, only to see Little Taotie spinning around with a golden key in hand.

"Look, everyone! I unlocked the Luban Lock! A golden key!"

Feng Qi attempted to wrap his large tail around the key, but Little Taotie dodged him.

"Can I have a look?"

"Nope! This is the treasure key. Don’t break it."

Little Taotie held the key like a treasure and handed it to Hua Jinyan.

Feng Qi immediately felt dissatisfied: "He can touch it? Aren’t you afraid he’ll break it?"

"You and Huahua are different."

"How are we different?"

"You’re a Spiritual Body. What if you’re careless and accidentally get Yin Qi on the key? It might affect the key’s fortune, and when the treasure is opened, there might not be much inside."

"... I’m a Spiritual Body, not the Mold God! Thanks!"

Little Taotie stuck his tongue out at her: "Anyway, you’re different from Huahua!"

Hua Jinyan’s lips curled into a smile as he accepted the key.

Feng Qi disliked his expression but didn’t dare to provoke Hua Jinyan. Frustrated, he wrapped himself in his fluffy, fiery red tail like a blanket, revealing only his fox face.

Little Taotie snuggled up to Hua Jinyan with a soft, childlike voice: "Quickly take me to find the Treasure Box. We’ll use this key to open it."

"Just one piece?" Little Taotie fiddled with the puzzle piece, flipping it up and down.

"Oh right! How didn’t I think of that!" Little Taotie slapped his forehead, "Come on, let’s find the puzzle pieces!"

Feng Qi muttered: "It would be better if you were smarter than him."

Meeting Hua Jinyan’s unfriendly gaze, Feng Qi coughed: "I said I want to return to the Horse-Faced Bell."

Little Taotie readily agreed, taking the Horse-Faced Bell out of the pink crystal box, "You can go back now."

As soon as Feng Qi returned, Little Taotie cozied up to Hua Jinyan and asked, "While I was solving the Luban Lock, did you ask Feng Qi many things? Come on, come on, tell me! We’re the best of friends, no secrets!"

Hua Jinyan: "..."

Little Taotie feigned anger: "Hmph! If you don’t tell me, I won’t talk to you!"

Though he knew she was pretending, Hua Jinyan still played along with a sad face: "If you don’t talk to me, I’ll be sad."

Little Taotie giggled while covering her mouth: "If you tell me what you discussed with Feng Qi, I won’t ignore you."

"Regarding the Iron-eating Beast, during Feng Qi’s time, it was the Demon God’s pet. Later, it seems to have lost to Little Beast Bai Bai, who turned it into a mount..."

According to Feng Qi, when Little Beast Bai Bai shrank, it liked to perch on the Iron-eating Beast’s head. This suggests that the Iron-eating Beast was more like Little Beast Bai Bai’s captured mount.

Little Taotie looked up in admiration: "Amazing, having a giant panda as a mount! I also want to nap on a panda’s fluffy head!"

With experience from the first yacht, finding puzzle pieces on the subsequent ones wasn’t difficult. Next to each puzzle piece, there was a Luban Lock, and inside each lock, there was a key, though each key was different—gold, silver, copper, iron, even embedded with gems...

They found 10 puzzle pieces and 10 keys.

Little Taotie wore a red string around her neck, threading the keys together.

She squatted on the ground piecing the puzzle together, placing the last piece, revealing a complete picture showing a mountain with a red circle on the summit.

"Is this a volcano?" Little Taotie wondered.
