Chapter 2103: Underestimating the Special Department

The vortex was a swirl of black, inky smoke, spinning rapidly. The howling sound was produced by the swift wind. Through the slightly lighter areas of smoke, you could see inside, where countless large, clawed things resided.

Although it was hard to discern what exactly these creatures were, their massive size and grotesquely twisted forms were enough to make one’s scalp tingle.

"What the hell are those weird things!" Mo Haihao cursed.

Shen Cang said solemnly, "They are interdimensional creatures. We can’t let them invade; we must destroy this vortex."

In a certain sense, this vortex was more like a kind of teleportation array. Once the vortex is broken, the transmission is disrupted, and these creatures would die in transit, left to drift in the endless dark.

"It’s like a black hole." A superpower user from the military arrived and joined the discussion, "Does your Special Department have any method to prevent the vortex from opening?"

Shen Cang shook his head heavily.

This was the first time he had encountered such a matter.

In fact, there were methods, but he dared not use them rashly. If used incorrectly, it could backfire. Instead of stopping the vortex, it might inadvertently help open a larger hole.

The military superpower user awkwardly laughed and said, "This kid is our Soldier King of the year, full of youthful energy and speaks without thinking. Don’t take it to heart."

"Soldier King?" Mo Haihao snorted, "For all I know, he could be an Old Witch, dressed like that."

"What did you say!"

"Cut it out!" the military superpower user reprimanded, "Lu Yu, now is not the time to fool around! If you have an opinion about the Special Department, take it up after we deal with the vortex!"

"Hmph!" Lu Yu scornfully glanced at the Special Department members, his gaze lingering on Little Taotie for a moment.

Hua Jinyan stepped forward nonchalantly, his gaze indifferent.

Since the youngest General wasn’t wearing a mask, no one knew his true identity, merely assuming he was a member of the Special Department.

All sorts of bigwigs arrived successively, top elites from the air, sea, and land forces.

These people were already elites, and after the Spiritual Energy resurgence, their awakened Special Abilities were somewhat stronger than those of the average person.
