The Lovely Heiress Is Actually A God Beast
Chapter 2110: People Need a Hero
The pedestrians on the street were frantically taking photos. In their eyes, that was a “Superman”!
This “Superman” could crush a tank with bare hands, twist the barrel into a ball, and bullets even curved away from her. This was simply not human!
In that moment, some people finally realized the world had changed.
Maybe as Spiritual Energy recovers and Superpower Users grow in number, things like this will happen more and more.
“Impossible! How can this be!” The man driving the tank roared madly, as if he couldn’t accept this heaven-defying scene. Even seeing it with his own eyes, he still didn’t believe them.
Little Taotie walked silently up beside him.
He was still muttering, “Impossible! Absolutely impossible! Superpower Users… Why do Superpower Users exist, they shouldn’t exist…” He looked like he’d already gone off the deep end.
Little Taotie had already sent a message to the camp. The camp dispatched Superpower Users to take care of these people.
Maybe because the psychological blow was too heavy, none of them resisted, not even their boss, who surrendered without a fight, eyes no longer normal.
Mo Haihao walked up to Little Taotie, the corner of his mouth twitching. “Look at what you’ve scared them into.”
Little Taotie shrugged, took a coffee candy out of her pocket and tossed it into her mouth. The rich taste of coffee spread across her tongue. She narrowed her eyes. “I didn’t do anything. They’re just scaring themselves.”
“Tomorrow’s headlines will be all about you. Want me to send someone to suppress it?”
“No need.”
Mo Haihao squinted. “You don’t care?”
Ever since she won the Best Actress trophy, Little Taotie had kept out of the public eye for years. Now she’d stepped into the spotlight again, and people were able to recognize her.
If tomorrow’s headlines show her face alongside the story of her single-handedly stopping a tank, she’ll be famous whether she wants it or not.
Little Taotie crunched the coffee candy in her mouth and laughed. “People need a hero.”
Mo Haihao froze for a moment, then after a long pause sighed. “Being a hero is not easy.”
“If no one else is stepping up, then it’s just me, this little girl, standing out front. Let’s see if those big men and old geezers feel embarrassed or not.” Little Taotie turned and walked off. “Vortexes have started appearing everywhere. Sooner or later it’ll be chaos on a large scale. If we don’t build up a hero, humans will collapse on their own.”
Little Taotie’s figure had already vanished. Mo Haihao stood there for a long time, then finally took a cigarette out of his pocket.
He had already quit smoking, but lately he’d picked it up again.
He looked up at the sky. The sky was no longer blue, but a strange grayish-blue.
Even though people everywhere had blocked the monsters behind the vortexes from invading, the vortexes themselves still remained as they were—couldn’t be blocked, couldn’t be destroyed. Sooner or later, something big was going to happen.
For ordinary people, they need a hero, a spiritual pillar.
Little Taotie returned to the camp and saw the newly awakened Superpower Users with odd looks in their eyes as they stared at her.
It seemed they had already gotten the news.
A little girl ran over, her face full of excitement with a trace of timidity. She stopped three steps away from Little Taotie, hesitated a moment, then stepped closer by one step, raised her head, her bright eyes looking up at Little Taotie. “Big Sis, can I become as strong as you?”
Anyone allowed to stay in the camp was a Superpower User, so this little girl must be an Awakener too.
Little Taotie squatted down to be level with her and asked, “What Special Ability did you awaken?”
The little girl broke into a wide grin. “Same as you, Big Sis. I’m a Strength Ability User too!”
Little Taotie patted her head. “You’re already stronger than the average kid. As long as you work hard, you’ll definitely surpass your seniors and become an outstanding Superpower User.”
