Chapter 2113: Red Markers Everywhere

Vortexes have appeared worldwide, and although all countries have taken measures to seal them, they have ultimately failed. The only option now is to station people at the vortexes, ready to attack if any entity from a different world tries to invade, preventing any from entering.

Shen Cang stood before the large screen, which displayed a world map densely dotted with innumerable black spots.

One black spot represents the location of a vortex.

"I’m afraid... the vortex in H-country cannot be defended," a member of the Special Department murmured.

On the map, the black spot at H-country’s location flashed rapidly, finally turning red.

A red spot indicates that the defense has failed and an alien species has invaded.

"Send support," Shen Cang said with a grim face. "We must eliminate those creatures."

"H-country does not accept foreign aid," the team member replied, frustrated. "They’ve locked down the country."

"Foolish! What a stupid choice is this! Send someone secretly; if we can’t enter through the front, then go by the sea!"

"It’s difficult..."

Shen Cang’s sharp gaze swept over him, "There is no difficulty that the Special Department cannot overcome."

"Yes! I will go personally!"

This team member, now the captain of Team Four, personally led his team toward H-country.

They entered the H-country border by submarine, maintaining signal contact, but upon reaching the vortex location, communication was suddenly lost.

Alarms echoed throughout the Ancient Castle.

It meant that some from the Special Department had perished.

Shen Cang isolated himself in the office for an hour, finally summoning Little Taotie.

Little Taotie asked gravely, "Team Four, the whole team..."

Shen Cang nodded slightly.

Little Taotie took a deep breath, clenching his fists, "I’ll go."

"Be careful."

Little Taotie nodded and left the office.

Mo Haihao rushed into the office, "Boss, did you send Little Taotie with Team Three to H-country? What about me? Can’t I go?"

Shen Cang nodded, "You’re coming with me to three other locations."

"What locations?"

Shen Cang pointed to three marked red points on a map.

"Another three..." Mo Haihao gasped.

Shen Cang’s expression was grim, "We cannot allow any more issues, or else H-country might..."

A nation with already four breached vortexes, with numerous alien creatures invading, could face utter destruction.

If H-country falls, its proximity to Hua Country poses a grave threat.

Little Taotie was leading a team to H-country when Hua Jinyan appeared in the vehicle. Little Taotie frowned, "You’re no longer part of the Special Department."

Back when Little Taotie and Hua Jinyan went to the base for training, Hua Jinyan, being a man, joined the troops, while Little Taotie chose to return to the Special Department. Now, she’s vice-captain of Team Three and also works as an astronaut—a position endorsed by Shen Cang who believed the Special Department needed special talents like her.

Hua Jinyan presented his credentials, smiling, "My people are joining too; this is a collaborative mission."

Little Taotie shrugged, "There must be a commander-in-charge, and I’m not giving up my position."

"If you’re willing, I could be your deputy," Hua Jinyan said nonchalantly.

Little Taotie’s eyes sparkled, "You said it! Don’t regret it! You and your people must follow my lead!"

Hua Jinyan nodded, pulling out a map, "The place you’re heading to is only one among three others."

"I wasn’t aware!" Little Taotie thought quickly and realized perhaps Head Grandpa hadn’t told her, worried she couldn’t handle it.

"Old Master Shen must already be there. We’ll resolve this point as quickly as possible and then go to support him."

Little Taotie nodded, frowning, "Land, sea, air—are no other support units available?"
