His bones started to shift while his fur lengthened.

In just a few breaths, the little pup grew into a full adult frosty wolf. Ice-blue patterns glowed faintly under his thick fur.

His body was sleek and powerful, almost as large as Leo’s new form, but colder, quieter.

He turned and pushed his big head against Ugo’s chest with a low rumble.

The cold immortal watched silently for a moment, then spoke again, voice still flat and distant.

"The trial is over. Leave."

After saying that, his figure tossed a snow-white jade to Ugo’s hand and slowly faded into the falling snow until nothing remained.

Ugo let out a long breath and rested a hand on Rio’s neck.

The fur was cold but soft.

Levi pushed his monocle up, eyes gleaming with interest.

Nonetheless, he decided not to ask how Rio became like this or what the jade is. Something’s better not to ask. Especially when the other party clearly didn’t want to explain.

Instead, he looked back toward the clear blue pool that had reappeared after the storm.

The guardian fish was still there, but it no longer looked aggressive. It simply circled the ice shield slowly, as if the trial had satisfied it.

"I don’t think the guardian fish will attack now... shall we take a few of those pearls at the bottom? They look like high-grade Moon’s Tears."

Ugo hesitated for only a second, then nodded.

He couldn’t tell Levi that this whole place would remain theirs, so no need to pluck anything. It’s still better to give Levi the illusion that they were here for a treasure hunt.

They moved quickly.

Even Rio went down, swam around with elegant strokes, and took a handful of pearls in his paws.

Ugo used his vines to carefully scoop up several of the purest glowing pearls from the underwater land. The vines didn’t freeze this time. The water felt almost gentle now.

Levi collected more, looking extremely satisfied.

He knew these wolves had some secret about this place. But it had nothing to do with him. Better take what he could.

He even took some rare fish and plants he had never seen before, stuffing them into his limited storage.

It’s a pity that his magic storage was very limited.

When they had taken as many as they could safely carry, they turned and walked back the same path they came from.

The glacier remained quiet behind them, as if the storm and the immortal had never existed.

.

.

By the time they returned to the narrow tunnel that led outside, they could already hear many hurried footsteps and angry voices coming from the direction of the five cave mouths.

Ugo’s face turned serious.

Levi’s step became slower.

Just as they stepped outside the cave, they saw Nox’s shocked and panicked face.

He was hurriedly drawing formation lines in front of the five cave mouths, fingers moving fast, soul force flickering around his hands.

When he saw Ugo come out with a big white wolf behind him, his stomach dropped.

How could they all hide?

There seemed to be lots of people.

The footsteps were getting closer.

Voices were rising.

"Cough! Cough!" Suddenly, they heard an aged cough just beyond the turn ahead.

"Elder Elysian, it is," Levi whispered, a small smirk already forming under his monocle.

The aged voice sounded again, lazy and full of mockery,

"Oh! So many guests we have got here... How should I treat you, dear? Shall I offer tea? Or perhaps a nice cup of Black Sea poison?"

Nox almost laughed out loud hearing his sarcasm.

But Ugo glared at him to shut up. His gaze fell on the first cave. There was no sign of Moon yet.

Elder Elysian clearly couldn’t hold onto so many people for long...

"Don’t worry, I will buy you time," Levi whispered from behind. He signaled Nox to come closer.

Nox finished his last line and slammed the pattern on the cave mouth.

The cave mouth glowed once with a faint blue light, then became normal again, looking like ordinary black stone.

He then stood with Ugo, heart still beating too fast.

Levi held his monocle in hand again.

And a faint glass wall spread from the lens and wrapped around all of them—Ugo, Nox, the big frosty wolf, and Levi himself.

Ugo knew this was the same thing he used in the storm. This Levi sure had some treasures himself.

As soon as the glass wall wrapped them, they vanished from sight, and the Elder Elysian also moved aside without argument, as if he had been waiting for this exact moment.

"Since you came this far, I will not keep you behind." His voice sounded tired, almost bored.

But Ugo knew this might be a tactic between Levi and this elder.

The old man was deliberately standing in a way that blocked the best view of the cave mouths while still looking casual.

So when the group turned the curve and faced the cave, there was no one but five open cave mouths.

The Vaelis Shadow Lord at the front narrowed his eyes.

"Five paths?"

"Which one did they take?" one of the Lyris people asked.

"Why take their path? Let’s go inside, all," the Ironfang Shadow Lord growled.

His face still looked dark from residual poison.

They could hear a lot of arguments start as soon as the shadow lords saw five paths.

People pushed and shoved.

Some of the weaker sentinels were already coughing black blood.

Levi poked on Nox’s waist from inside the invisible barrier. "Hey? What formation did you put there?"

"Tsk! Why do you ask? It’s an illusion array."

"What illusion?"

"An illusion they dreamed."

"So they can’t reach the secret realm?"

"They can if they break the illusion."

"So they still can find it... tsk tsk, what a pity!"

"Can you shut up?"

"Oh!"

Inside the glass barrier, it became silent again.

Nox was getting increasingly anxious. He almost glued his eyes on the group that entered various cave paths.

Each pack chose one and decided to enter it. Who would find the real entrance was up to their luck.

Regardless, they decided to divide spoils later.

But all people knew well it was a pipe dream to divide a treasure well. Once you get it in hand, there is no friend and foe.

All are one, "enemy."

Levi sneered inside, clearly enjoying the show.

When the last warrior slipped inside the cave, all cave mouths suddenly vanished.

Like there was no entrance to begin with.

The wall turned into ordinary black stone. No cracks. No openings. Nothing.

Nox and Ugo became startled. How could that be?

Moon was still inside!!!!
