Chapter 202: Ugo’s speculation

But the man suddenly lowered his gaze, as if he had sensed Nox’s presence. His eyes narrowed sharply, and Nox felt as though a whirlwind had sucked him in.

He gasped as his consciousness began to fade.

A strange pressure passed through the earth.

Then everything went black.

Nox opened his eyes with a gasp.

He sat up so quickly that his head spun, and he had to place a hand against the bed to steady himself. His breathing was uneven, and his chest felt tight.

Then his gaze fell on the figure lying beside him, who was staring at him in shock.

In his panic, Nox hadn’t even noticed that he had thrown Moon out of his embrace when he sat up.

A guilty look flashed across his eyes, but he couldn’t get the scene he had witnessed out of his mind.

His stomach churned, so he leaned over and hugged Moon tightly.

"Mooney... why wasn’t I a wolf, even in my dream?"

He sniffed.

"I could have taken you away if I had been a wolf..."

He sniffed again.

"..."

Moon lay there without a word.

’Let the man suffer if he really wants to suffer over his own overthinking’, he thought.

Nox rubbed his tears against Moon’s neck, then began biting gently at his nape before kissing the spot.

"Nox..." Moon called out.

"Let’s make some babies," he chuckled.

Nox’s body stiffened for a moment before he looked at Moon, clearly bewildered by how Moon could tell what he wanted.

"Your dream is a little unrealistic, but I think we can still have one." Moon’s eyes crinkled with laughter.

He really wanted to dispel Nox’s gloomy mood before they faced the full moon.

A bright pink blush spread from Nox’s neck to his ears.

He pressed closer to Moon. "C–can we?"

Moon didn’t answer. Instead, he shifted and turned around, pinning Nox beneath him.

His hand grasped Nox’s shoulder as he straddled him.

"Let’s try it."

As Moon swayed his hips, Nox’s breath hitched.

"Damn it!" He grabbed Moon’s arm, wanting to take control, but Moon kept him pinned down.

Outside the Cave Door—

Axe exhaled sharply while Ugo chuckled.

"So, are we going to let them be...?" Ugo asked, glancing at the door. The gasps and slurping sounds coming from inside were clearly audible.

"Or what? Do you want to go inside and shove your tongue in there instead?" Axe raised his brows.

"I didn’t say that." Ugo shrugged and poured himself another cup. However, his hand slipped beneath the table. He rubbed his manhood as he chuckled again.

"Don’t you feel it? Axe... you know I’m getting restless."

"I know." Axe looked at the almost full moon, its silver light shining warmly across the Lost Realm, and exhaled again.

It had started a few days ago.

They might go about their business and act normal in front of Moon, but in reality, they were extremely restless.

Every night, they felt as though all they wanted to do was fuck their mate and keep knotting him until the restlessness disappeared.

But they knew Moon was busy and tired.

They couldn’t spend all their time thinking about doing that.

Axe glanced at Ugo and then at the door, where the gasps and moans were growing louder. He couldn’t help slipping his own hand inside his trousers.

"Damn it! I hate this!"

"Axe," Ugo called in a deep, gloomy voice. His eyes were closed, and his hand was slowly rubbing his manhood.

"What? Don’t call my name while doing something like that, you nasty man," Axe grumbled.

Ugo almost laughed out loud.

"I was thinking... about what Nox will see after his contract is sealed," he murmured.

Axe stiffened.

"What did you see?" he asked.

Ugo opened his eyes and asked in return, "What about you?"

Axe grinned maliciously. "Ugo, I asked first."

Ugo sighed. "Do we have to be like this? We’re brothers, after all... Fine."

He stopped what he was doing and grew a little more serious.

"I saw... Well, I had two dreams. Or perhaps they weren’t dreams at all. It was more like traveling through time."

Axe raised his brows.

He had never known that Ugo had experienced anything like this before.

"I saw a wolf. A fiery werewolf who could transform at will and spew fire everywhere. It could even burn down an entire estate."

He paused, gathering his thoughts as he tried to recall the most memorable parts among the many vague images.

"A woman, probably Moon’s mother, and a fire burning. I actually saw fire twice, and I think there was a difference between the two scenes. They might not have happened at the same time."

"Then?" Axe asked.

"Then I saw him falling into a lake. Oh, I saw someone, like RuYi, trying to take Moon away." Ugo finished.

"Hmm, you saw a lot... I saw something similar, but I didn’t see any wolf. There was fire and a woman calling for him. I think I saw her moving deeper into a garden instead of going outside."

Suddenly, something felt odd to Axe.

He hadn’t paid much attention to the dream.

He had only felt the loneliness and pain deep in his heart and soul. He had been too busy watching Moon to notice much of his surroundings.

Now that Ugo had brought it up, he found it strange.

The woman had clearly been calling for Moon, yet she had been moving farther inside instead of trying to escape.

Perhaps it was simply because it had been a fucking dream, not a real memory.

But Ugo’s thoughts were not so simple like Axe.

He had seen Moon’s mother twice, and he had also seen a wolf who was clearly their own kind.

But judging by Moon’s reaction, Ugo knew that Moon didn’t know about werewolves, or perhaps there were no werewolves in his world.

Besides, he had seen the woman being carried away.

Though she had seemed lifeless, that didn’t mean she was dead.

But Moon had never mentioned his mother. He had loved her so much, so why wouldn’t he mention her or want to find a way back to her?

He was deep in thought when Axe cursed.

"Fuck! Ugo, think about whatever you want, but why do you have to mess with my mind? Now I can’t stop thinking about it."
