The Mage's 5 Fated Alphas (BL)
Chapter 39: An Awkward Landing
Alpha Vaelis POV:
Crackle, crackle.
Suddenly, a very slight humming and crackling echoed in the void.
Owen didn’t notice it, yet Alpha Vaelis’s hair stood up.
Being a reverend Alpha in a gold-ranked pack, he naturally had a more powerful hearing instinct than others.
He looked up just in time for two tangled, pale bodies to slam onto his head.
His fast-moving speed only protected his head, but still, the force of the falling bodies threw him into the black mud on the Black Sea shore.
Thud!
Three bodies rolled on the ground.
Two disheveled, half-naked bodies were still tangled in a way that made even the shameless Alpha Vaelis’s eyes pop up.
He totally disregarded his honor and shame from the fall and swore through his teeth, "Fuck!!"
Looking at the suddenly falling, naked Nox and Moon, his body started to tremble from rage.
"You... you... little..." He sprang up and pointed toward Moon, his fingers shaking. "Fuck... damn it..."
Owen was so shocked he could not even utter a word in this situation.
They were all tired and spent from all the running and looking for them, only to find them here, naked and... um... mating?
All four pairs of eyes were locked for just a moment in bewilderment.
And then, the air shifted with a blue crackle and lightning.
"Hold them... don’t let them leave!" Alpha Vaelis cried out in anger. He could already guess this demonic witch was playing tricks again.
But before he could even grab either of their arms, the air shifted, and the ground split up, engulfing both entangled boys under the mud.
Alpha Vaelis’s forehead was throbbing with bluish-green veins.
"Damn it... to think they were... damn it!" He threw an air punch with anger.
"Fuck, Owen! Why didn’t you grab them? Are you getting dumb?" he roared at Owen.
Owen’s red face was turning pale now.
"Um... um.. I... I just didn’t know where to hold," he stammered. In his entire life, he had never faced this kind of situation.
"Alpha, let’s go back and think of a way. We can’t catch them by just chasing," he said at last, calming his racing heart.
As the two figures turned around and left, their silhouettes went further and further with each second.
The air shifted on the dark sea again.
And two pale, horrified bodies surfaced on the shore from the ground.
Moon’s POV:
When they fell on the Alpha, Moon thought he should dig a hole and bury himself in the ground.
The sound stuck in his throat. And his insides were equally in chaos with his mind.
He clutched Nox’s arm so tightly it left nail scratches from arm to shoulder. And his legs tightened around Nox’s waist more.
To his dismay, the knotted length, which was supposed to go down, lifted its head with a proud crown.
The shame could wait, but the danger could not.
His biggest fear was being forcibly torn from Nox, ripping his core value, while Nox might become crippled for his entire life.
Fear should be dreadful and fatal.
But how come both of their bodies had reacted like this?
’Were we always perverts?’ Moon thought unconsciously.
When the roar of the Alpha’s order reached his ears, his body stiffened.
But that was his moment to show off, wasn’t it?
Moon hugged Nox more, and gathering his excessive spiritual Qi, he made a barrier. The blue shield engulfed them.
But then, without any context, they started to sink into the mud.
The corroded mud.
The visceral mud.
Moon whipped his face up to look at Nox. This was not his doing, so the only possibility was that Nox himself was doing something strange.
Nox’s voice transmitted into his mind. Soft and content.
"Don’t be afraid. Close your eyes."
Then a slimy, soft feeling invaded Moon’s body. He felt like he had transformed into the mud itself.
He could see the Alpha’s rabid fury, their air punches, and their departure, but he could not feel his own body.
After the last trace of the Alpha’s scent washed away, Nox tugged at Moon’s waist and they surfaced again.
The mud was black and thick. It even corroded Moon’s skin. He was starting to feel uncomfortable.
"We need to hurry up, Nox. Pull out."
Nox groaned, his large body twisting to adjust his position, but his movement only yanked Moon’s hips down hard into a puddle of black sludge.
He hugged Moon and rolled, gathering slime all over their bare skin.
Moon’s legs were still around Nox. His long, bird’s-nest hair was plastered across his face with muddy water, and he was completely immobilized by the knot.
"Fuck..." Moon wheezed, his face turning entirely red from both anger and absolute embarrassment.
"Get out! Nox, pull it out right now!"
"I... I can’t!" Nox hissed through gritted teeth, his face buried in Moon’s neck as he tried to brace his hands against the slimy mud.
"The spatial force locked my muscles! It won’t go down!"
"You unhinged dog! We are going to die because of your stupid cock!" Moon screamed softly, trying to hit Nox’s shoulder, but his arm was sore from the fall.
It was a total disaster.
Moon would rather drown in the Black Sea.
Moon held his breath, his entire body trembling. He looked at Nox, whose eyes were wide with pure ecstasy.
The last rays of the evening sun hit the water, and the entire Black Sea rapidly began turning into a blinding, shimmering silver.
The sudden, intense light reflected off the water like a giant mirror, striking straight into Nox’s eyes.
Taking advantage of the chaotic light, Moon didn’t care about his pride anymore.
He bit down on Nox’s shoulder and channeled a tiny drop of the freshly refined blue air Qi down into his thighs.
With a pathetic, slippery squelch, the knot finally slipped out.
He scrambled on his hands and knees through the mud, dragging his tired yet energetic body to sit properly.
Nox scrambled right behind him.
