284. Discovery of the Truth Behind Mechanism of Devil Weakness Immunity; Surprising Third Special Guest.

Following the visits from the Norse and Yokai Factions, Kaito, Rimuru, and Kazuma found themselves wondering who might arrive next. Before long, another magic circle appeared before them... accompanied by a magical aura that was, to Kaito in particular, highly distinctive. Had Kaito not requested a remedy for the inherent weaknesses of devils before the chat group system, he might have felt an overwhelming sense of pressure at that very moment.

The guests who emerged from the magic circle belonged to the Heaven Faction—specifically, two prominent figures, each possessing twelve wings. One was a handsome man with long, blond hair and green eyes, dressed in a red robe accented with golden shoulder plates. The other was an exceptionally beautiful woman with curly blond hair and a voluptuous figure; her eyes held an expression of innocence and naivety, and she wore a simple, pure white dress—the quintessential attire of an angel.

Naturally, Kaito and the others recognized them immediately: they were the Archangels Michael and Gabriel. As the host of the party, Kaito naturally stepped forward and greeted the special guests, followed by Rimuru and Kazuma from behind.

"Welcome to my engagement party, esteemed guests, Archangel Michael-sama and Gabriel-sama." Kaito bowed politely with his right hand on his chest.

Surprised that Kaito knew them, Michael replied, "Thank you, Kaito-san. I didn't expect you to know us. I am sure we haven't met before."

"You are joking, Michael-sama. You are a bigshot in the supernatural world; it would be a shame for us not to recognize you."

"I see." Michael nodded in understatement. "Then you didn't mind us joining this party, right?"

Kaito shook his head. "No problem. I am grateful that you two came to my party, even though I am just a little devil."

Michael replied, "You underestimate yourself. After defeating Sirzech-kun, no one would dare to call you just a little devil. You are also a person worth befriending by the Heaven faction, so we naturally wanted to attend. Isn't that right, sister?"

Curious about why his sister, Gabriel, has been quiet, Michael turned around, only to find her gazing at Kaito with a look of 'longing,' 'curiosity,' and 'yearning'?? After knowing the truth about his adoptive dad, he was damn aware his adoptive father and his 'stepmother' probably really did something without his knowledge... but he was also confused why the system hadn't told him about it.

"Sister, are you sure? There's God's presence in Kaito's soul protecting him?" Michael asked seriously, "This is not a joking matter, sister. I couldn't detect anything, but I trust in your intuition"

"To have God's protection, Kaito-san. You must have met GOD before. Kaito, have you met GOD before? Or are you an angel secretly nurtured by God before her death?"

"No." Kaito shook his head. "I haven't met the god of the Bible."

When Michael asked whether Kaito had met the God of the Bible, Kaito naturally answered no... which was, in fact, the truth. However, Kaito knew full well that lying to Michael would be pointless, so he prepared to reveal his secret... reasoning that this was not something that needed to be kept under wraps, and that, sooner or later, it would come to light anyway.

As an archangel, Michael naturally could discern lies and truth, and said. "You are not lying."

"Are you sure you didn't make any mistakes, sister?"

"No. I am sure about it." Gabriel nodded seriously, then, with upturned eyes, as if begging for a serious answer, she asked, "Kaito-san... Mind you tell me why you, as a devil, don't seem affected by our presence at all. Because I think the protection of god was to ensure you haven't been affected by holy magic."

Upon learning what his adoptive father had done, Kaito felt a bit annoyed. It was clear that the reason the system hadn’t informed him about it was because of his father’s own doing. While Kaito certainly still felt 'grateful' toward his adoptive father, Kaito really want to settle some scores later—specifically regarding a few matters, such as being sent into this dangerous world and the reasons behind the decision to limit the assistance provided by the God of the Bible.

Seeing Kaito’s expression who previously calm, but suddenly shifting to one of annoyance... piqued the curiosity of Michael and others. Rimuru and Kazuma could guess that Kaito had just asked the system about this matter, and they were also really curious about all of this.

To Michael's question, Kaito nodded but then answered in an apologetic tone,  "I just learned the reason why there's such a thing in my soul, but I am sorry I can't answer it since it's related to my secret, which I don't wish to reveal."

If Kaito answered the question honestly, it means he also needs to reveal the matter of the chat group. Although he probably could bluff it with the chat group system, that would be just a waste of points anyway. Kazuma and Rimuru understood Kaito's meaning from the secret, which meant they could guess it must be the chat group system's fault for what's going on.

Fortunately, Michael and Gabriel seemed to understand his predicament and didn't ask more about it. Instead, Michael took a step forward and asked, "Then... Kaito-kun, while we won't ask for your secret, at least... you must know some information about God's whereabouts."

"She didn't die back then, did she?"

"I... maybe, I know, maybe I don't. But I can assure you that your lord is not dead."

Kaito then revealed his identity: he is a reincarnator from another world, cast into this one by the "will of the world" itself—an entity he discovered was actually his "adoptive father" from that other realm, who likely felt a sense of guilt. He also learned how his adoptive father—the will of that other world—was able to access this realm to assist him: it turns out he had saved the "God of the Bible" after the war and the two eventually fell in love; they are now, in fact, husband and wife.

Naturally, spouses are expected to help one another, aren't they?

Kaito further explained that their "Lord" has not returned to this world because, having become a spouse, she has grown quite content in that other realm. Kaito also shared his plan to travel to that world once the engagement party concludes; his adoptive father has tasked him alone with a mission to seek him out in that other world and uncover the mysteries surrounding his own existence.

Upon hearing Kaito’s story, the archangels and the members of the chat group... specifically Kazuma and Rimuru were left stunned and momentarily silent, processing the information Kaito had revealed about himself. None of them had expected Kaito to be the "son of the Will of the World" from another realm; Kazuma and Rimuru, in particular, had assumed he was a transmigrator just like them.

However, they now began to understand why Kaito had been appointed as the leader of the chat group; it was possible that the chat group itself was a byproduct of his adoptive father’s doing. The question that remained was what kind of world could have allowed his adoptive father to marry the God of the Bible, though both Kazuma and Rimuru knew that now was not the time to ask about that.

They believe Kaito will also told the rest of chat group later on, and that's will be the time when they could ask the question.

After the temporary quietness, Michael is the first one to 'wake up' and stare at Kaito with relief, "Well... I am glad our creator did survive the war back then, but to learn that she got married to your adoptive father... does it make us siblings?"

Kaito nods, "Perhaps. But I am an Ultimate devil, and you are an Archangel; that's quite a weird sibling, isn't it?"

"Not the first time. Remember, us and I are also technically siblings, too." Michael commented, which made everyone nod in understanding. Who can blame them?

Their entire family is quite messy; even the first Devil was also a brother of Michael (Lucifer).

"Your family tree is quite messy, isn't it?" Rimuru chimed in.

"At least, they are indeed a family. Everyone was a creation of Lord, after all." Kazuma followed, "It's funny that the leader also allowed me to call Azazel big brother later."

"That's true..." Kaito nodded in agreement. "Then, should I call you big brother Michael now?" 

"Sure." Michael said, "Since Lord has married your father, we have definitely become a family in the true sense."

In fact, Michael was thinking of engaging Kaito with her, but unfortunately he couldn't let his sister fall, since she's holding a really important position in heaven.

Hearing such a thing, Gabriel eyes lit up, feeling excited. "Then, Kaito can also call me big sister! I am happy to get a new brother!"

Kaito gave a wry smile and said, "Then, please treat me well, Big Brother Michael, Big Sister Gabriel."

Kaito had no objection to gaining a new family, especially since both were powerhouses and good people... although he also asked to not reveal the truth yet to the rest of the angel race, since Kaito felt that would only give him trouble. After that, Kaito and the archangel talked more pleasantly, mainly asking about Kaito's living conditions and things regarding the other world's knowledge. Both of them certainly also wanted to follow Kaito to the other world to find their "Lord", but unfortunately, Kaito told them he could only do the mission alone (Kaito didn't want to bring them anyway). However, Kaito promised them that, after he finished the mission, he would find a way to let the God of the Bible meet them again... as he feel bad for his new big brother and sister to miss their 'Creator' for a very long time.
