A group of soldiers stood along the main roads near the elven forest. They hid behind the bushes, keeping watch for any caravans traveling down the road.

It was easy to tell who the captain of the group was. He was a man in his thirties wearing plate armor that stood out from the rest, along with a unique helmet.

But the most noticeable difference was his level. He was level 30, while the soldiers around him were only level 20.

"What is our next mission, Captain?" a soldier asked. "We already attacked the merchants moving supplies to Snow Pine City. Now what?"

The captain glanced to the side, staring at the young soldier.

"Now we change our uniforms and cause a fuss in the elven forest," the captain said, a smirk forming on his face.

One of the soldiers was keeping an eye on the sky. They knew that Ray could fly, so watching the skies was a smart move. But what the soldier spotted wasn’t Ray; it was a pegasus carrying two unknown riders.

"There’s a flying horse with two people on it!" the soldier yelled. "Should we attack it?"

The captain frowned. "Attack it? How are we going to attack it when it’s so high up in the air and moving so fast? Are you dumb or what?"

He walked away, shaking his head as he began removing his armor to change into a different set. "Why did the king give me such a stupid crew to work with..."

Arthur and Point Blank were flying over the roads and the scattered farms. The elven forest was so close that they were almost flying right over it.

His dragon bloodline was already maturing. Just a little bit, but it was something. Arthur’s vision was improving as the days passed. So, while flying near the area where those soldiers were, he spotted them hiding behind the bushes.

"There are soldiers down there," Arthur said, pointing toward the bushes near the elven forest.

"Where?"

Point Blank looked where he was pointing, but she couldn’t see a thing.

"Are you sure?" she asked.

"Yep, I am. But we shouldn’t pay them any mind, honestly. Let’s focus on our mission to deliver the letter to the elven settlement."

Even Ray had told them not to worry too much about the soldiers. They needed to get stronger before they even thought about joining the war.

Arthur handled the reins, flying over the thick elven forest and heading toward the center of it. He knew that was where the elven settlement was located.

Unlike the rest of the surrounding area, there was no snow in the elven forest.

The Aldora Kingdom saw heavy snowfall during autumn and winter. It only melted away in the spring and summer.

But the elven forest didn’t have snow, not a single day of the year. No one knew the exact reason, but everyone attributed it to the unique powers the elves could muster.

The elves lived in an area very close to the border of the neighboring kingdom that was currently invading Aldora. The forest essentially served as the natural border separating the two kingdoms in that specific region.

Neither kingdom contacted the elves very often, however. They didn’t want to piss them off, since the elves didn’t belong to any faction and had simply been living there for a very long time.

Arthur headed straight for the center of the forest. From high in the air, it was impossible to spot the settlement. It was nestled among the tall, thick trees. He only knew where it was because he had visited the settlement before.

Just as the soldiers had spotted him, the elves did too.

A slim, blond elf with a bow on his back stood atop one of the massive trees, keeping watch for anything approaching from the ground or the skies. When he saw the pegasus, he leapt down from the branches to speak with the other guards and deliver the message.

"There’s a pegasus coming our way, and it seems like they know where our settlement is."

Everyone tensed up. Visitors weren’t common here, so anyone approaching was treated as a threat.

Elves began coming out of their houses, which were all built directly into the trees, giving the place a truly magical feeling. They were prepared to fight the intruders to protect their settlement.

But then, from the largest tree in the center of the settlement, someone emerged, walking down the wooden ramp that led to the ground.

It was their current leader, a woman wearing a light green dress, with long blond hair that almost touched the ground. She didn’t carry any weapons, but she had guards to protect her if necessary.

"Calm down, everyone," she said, her melodic voice carrying across the settlement so that everyone could hear. "This pegasus belongs to Ray. He’s a friend."

Every elf in the settlement sighed when they heard their leader. If she said it, then it must be true.

Arthur began to descend, steering the pegasus straight down into the forest.

"Are you sure you’re going to the right place?" Point Blank asked, holding onto him tighter. "I feel like we’re going to hit one of those damn trees."

The opportunity was too good to pass up. Arthur faked losing control of the pegasus just to scare her.

"I think I lost control of the reins!" he said, acting as dramatically as possible. "Hold tight!"

Point Blank held on tight, her body pressing against his. Arthur could feel her breasts softly touching his back.

’So nice...’

Then, just as they got close to the ground, Arthur easily controlled the pegasus, making a swift landing in the elven settlement. Point Blank couldn’t believe it.

She punched him on the back a few times, her cheeks flushing red. "You did that just to make me hold you. Idiot."

Arthur laughed. He jumped down from the pegasus first, then extended his hand to help Point Blank. For a moment, he thought she would refuse it since she was angry with him, but she didn’t. She jumped into his arms, and Arthur gently set her down.

When he looked around, dozens of elves already had their bows aimed at them.

No one spoke except for the elven leader, whose name was Imra.

"Who are you?" Imra asked, analyzing them from head to toe. "This pegasus belongs to Ray, I’m sure of it, yet you aren’t Ray. Did the old man send you?"

Arthur knew who she was, so he immediately bowed to show his respect. Point Blank saw him and quickly followed his lead, bowing as well.

"Yes. He sent us to bring you a letter. Ray said it’s important, though I’m not familiar with its contents, of course. He’s staying in the city because of the invasion currently happening in the kingdom."

Ray couldn’t simply leave the city unprotected with everything that was going on. That was why Arthur had been chosen to deliver the letter.

"Oh? An important letter?" Imra looked surprised. "Ray would only send someone he really trusts with this. Are you his family?"

"Uh, no. My master is an old friend of his."

"I see. Well then, come forward and give me the letter."

Arthur nodded. He slowly took the letter out of his inventory and walked forward, careful not to make any sudden moves, knowing the elves would shoot if he did.
