The Only SSS-Rank Crafter: Every Item I Give Away Makes Me Stronger

Chapter 91 - Arthur is Rich, and Special Magical Weapon

  • Next Chapter

Point Blank really wanted to play with him, doing quests and other mundane stuff like leveling up professions.

"I’ll play solo for now, but I’ll text you if we can do something together. You can text me too."

Arthur made it clear he wouldn’t disappear completely and would only show up when they needed him for the important quests, like the one to invade that fortress in the Rashk Kingdom. He really liked her. Maybe having someone to do other things with wasn’t a bad idea.

Point Blank smiled. "If you’re lying to me, I’ll find you and punch you."

She leaned in, her lips touching Arthur’s right cheek. A kiss. He definitely wasn’t expecting that, and he couldn’t help but turn red.

He cleared his throat. "Alright. Let me fly you down so you can clear the dungeon with our friends."

Point Blank waved goodbye as Arthur flew away from the dungeon, leaving the elven forest behind. His mind was on something else now.

’I want the first solo clear reward, and it looks like no one is going for it right now. But I need to find another dungeon...’

Arthur flew back to Snow Pine city, thinking about the dungeons in the area. He knew so much about the game in general, but some of that knowledge had been lost. Long years had passed since he last knew those things, so it was normal to forget a few details.

There were a few dungeons around Snow Pine city, like the one that group almost cleared, but they only ranged from level 15 to 20.

To find higher-level dungeons, players had to move to a different city or location, heading toward the central part of the kingdom.

Arthur was going there soon anyway! The king himself wanted him to infiltrate the Rashk Kingdom and assassinate someone. He just needed to reach level 25 first.

Once he reached Snow Pine city, he decided to talk to Ray.

Up in Ray’s tower, they drank wine while looking through the massive window at the city completely covered in snow, with players chatting and walking through the streets.

"What do you want to talk about?" Ray asked, scanning Arthur. "And you leveled up fast, way faster than I thought."

Arthur sipped the wine. "Remember that task you gave me? Or rather, the king gave me."

"Yes, I do. Why? Don’t tell me you’re chickening out. I already sent the letter to the king."

Ray turned serious. He wanted that mission completed because it meant he would get some juicy rewards from the king himself.

"I’ll still do it. However, I’m thinking about changing my... powers. I want to become a mage."

"A mage? How is that even possible?"

"Let’s just say my current class is versatile. I’ll still be able to turn invisible, if that’s what you’re wondering, but I won’t have my bow anymore. So, do you think I can still pull off the assassination?"

Ray thought for a moment.

"Definitely. It might even be easier, since some powerful spells need a long cast. But a mage draws more attention than a man with a bow. Will that affect your infiltration? It’s not just the killing. You’ll need a whole new identity, and this mission will take time."

Arthur had already expected that. The system had warned him that the mission, a main quest, was so grand that it would affect the whole kingdom. It wouldn’t be a quick job of just showing up and killing someone.

The details of the quest were still unknown, to both him and Ray. Only the king would share them, once Arthur reached level 25 and went to the royal palace.

"I’m confident I can still infiltrate as a mage," Arthur said. "Just wanted to let you know. Also, I’m heading to the central part of the kingdom now, and I’ll get the last levels on the way. So, how about paying me my % of the shop’s profit?"

Once he got that money, it would be a while before he saw Ray again, considering the quest he was about to take. So, he couldn’t be sure Ray would keep his word and leave Arthur’s share untouched.

Ray nodded.

"I checked earlier... 3570 gold coins... Am I really paying you this much? Damn it. You’ll be able to buy your house pretty soon if the Chosen Ones keep buying like this."

Arthur almost spilled his wine, not believing what he heard. That was A LOT of money for that stage of the game, and just like Ray had said, he could buy himself a house if he wanted, since prices weren’t inflated yet. Property prices would rise a lot once more players could afford them. Right now, only Arthur had the money.

Ray had a safe inside his house. He opened it not with a key, but with his powerful magic.

’Not an easy safe to steal, that’s for sure.’

From it, he took out the 3570 gold coins, all separated into leather pouches.

"I knew you’d ask for your money soon, which is your right, of course, so I already have it here."

Arthur took the pouches and put them in his inventory. The moment he did, his coin count updated, showing the new value.

Together with the coins he already had, Arthur now had a total of 4210 gold coins. Players would do anything for that kind of money at this stage of the game.

He then took out some of his drops, like a staff and other items he wasn’t going to use.

"I want to put these items up for sale in our shop, but I want 95% of the profit for these specific ones."

The shop would work as a showcase. This way, the many players who visited it every single day would see Arthur’s items on display and could buy them. If he wanted 100% of the profit, he would have to message players and trade by himself, which took longer. Arthur wanted to leave as fast as possible.

"No problem," Ray said. "I can do that. If you have more items, just bring them to me."

To him, it was basically 5% of the profit without having to craft or hunt for the items.

"Another thing. I’ll probably head back here after talking to the king, since it’s easier to enter the Rashk Kingdom from here. Can you prepare some crafting materials for me? I need to craft magic-related items like a robe, a staff, jewelry, etc. I’ll pay you later."

Ray had something in mind.

"You can use any type of weapon, right?" Ray asked.

"Yes. Why?"

"Well, my magic sphere, which is usually a weapon locked to my class, has better stats than most staves, and the cast speed is faster too. Maybe you can use one? I can give you the blueprint to craft them."

Arthur couldn’t help but smile. What he got out of that short conversation was almost too good to be true.

"Hell yeah. But can you get the materials so I can craft it?"

"Yes, they aren’t hard to get. I’ll have everything ready, so you can craft your items when you return. It might cost you a little, of course. I won’t give everything away for free, especially rare blueprints like these."

Arthur didn’t mind. He agreed and left Snow Pine, heading north toward the central part of the kingdom to finally meet the king.
