"Tears are definitely going to be shed. I can see through your intentions. You're asking about my daughter, intending to exchange her, right? I've suspected your true motives since you first stepped into the Island Master Mansion."

The old man, crying, unveiled Tang Rao's scheme; his petty little plans are so transparent, who wouldn't notice?

"Old man, you're so clever, it's a bit beyond my comfort zone. Why are you so smart anyway? Now I can't help in unraveling the mystery."

Tang Rao knowingly spoke everything that should and shouldn't be said, despite knowing that Man Man and the others were waiting outside, clearly intending for them to overhear.

"What did you say happened to my dad's Dantian? He won't be in danger, will he?"

Man Man shifted all focus to her father's wellbeing. Even if Tang Rao indeed has conditions and demands, as long as she can exchange herself for her dad's life and health, she would agree wholeheartedly.

"Actually, nothing significant; it's just that your dad's once mighty Dantian is shattered, and it needs to be repaired. Your dad wants it restored, and I'm the only one in this world who can return it to its former state. So tell me, what should I do?"

Tang Rao's straightforwardness left Man Man unsure of how to proceed.

"So you're wanting me to agree to some condition in exchange, and then you'll heal my dad's injuries?"

Anyone in the Divine Realm practicing cultivation understands the significance of a Dantian.

"Of course! Otherwise, where do you think I got the confidence to negotiate with you?"

Tang Rao had said so much; whether Man Man understands or not is now up to her.

As a daughter, if she doesn't desire her father's wellness, how could Tang Rao forcefully insist?

"Man Man, your dad's already old, he won't live much longer. Don't listen to him. At worst, I might die, but your future is what's important. Don't let your entire life be derailed because of your father."

Though unsure of the demands Tang Rao might propose, the old man's intuition is remarkably keen, realizing the dubious intentions another man might harbor.

"Old man, do you really think you're old and don't have much time left?"

Tang Rao retorted; he couldn't see any signs of aging in the old man.

He simply didn't want his daughter to become a bargaining chip, turned into leverage held by Tang Rao.

Yet Tang Rao never intended to exploit Man Man but hoped she would willingly accompany him.

"I just cast a fortune for you, you haven't even lived half your time. Are you hastily seeking death, leaving the people on your Southern Island to fend for themselves?"

Tang Rao faked the divination to give hope to the old man, hoping it would sway Man Man.

"We each have our Heavenly Destiny; if I die, that's my fate. How they live is theirs, not something I should worry about."

Man Man couldn't bear the old man's talk of death; she hastily stopped him from continuing.

"Dad, you can't possibly die. You'll never die. Don't think of leaving me. I won't allow it!"

The reason Man Man stays in the Island Master Mansion and never wants to leave its doors is to spend more time with her father, fearing losing the opportunity to do so later, feeling regretful. Over time, she grew accustomed to the isolation, no longer wanting to interact with the outside world.

She hoped to dutifully care for him all her life, yet never imagined her father would one day leave before her.

"Silly child, your dad can only accompany you for a while. As long as I can spend a little more time with you, I'll cherish it. When the day comes that I'm too old or too weak to do anything, you'll find me burdensome, lamenting my inability to do anything. Alas."

In the end, would the old man depart without attachments, leaving Man Man lonely for the rest of her life?

Just imagining the scene made the old man's heart ache so severely it could die.

"What's really going on with my dad? Is it as severe as he feels?"

Severe enough to potentially be fatal?

Man Man wanted to ask, but feared her question might hurt feelings, so she asked differently.

"He doesn't actually feel there's any problem, but when I examined his Dantian, it's indeed cracked beyond sight. To put it sternly, there's indeed a risk to his life."

After processing the possibility, Man Man remained silent for at least a cup of tea's time, then looked at Tang Rao, slightly hostile, and asked, "What kind of exchange condition do you want?"

She only wishes for her father to be healthy; since something exists to swap for that health, she's naturally willing.

"A requirement? Did you inform her?"

Tang Rao didn't discuss with Chen Jingyi and the others, fearing they might not have had the chance to clarify.

"We did talk, of course, but she doesn't agree. I was just going to discuss this with you."

Chen Jingyi and the others tried sympathy but couldn't threaten, resorting to waiting for Tang Rao to finish so he could provide an opinion and figure out a way to persuade Man Man.

"You want me to leave my dad, leave the Southern Island and rescue someone I completely don't know?"

Man Man's nature is quite blunt. Is being straightforward a little too audacious?

"Wrong, it's saving someone you know, connected deeply with you. If you don't save them, you'll surely regret it forever."

Unless one is truly heartless.

"I really don't know who you're talking about. I don't want to waste your time because you recognized the wrong person. Seriously, how about you choose someone else?"

Swap the person?

That person is Man Man; switching casually doesn't replace the uniqueness. If swapping was simple, why would they go through so much trouble?

"Man Man, I won't force you. I'll treat your dad's Dantian, without asking you to leave, but can you accept your memories?"

With Man Man knowing nothing, no matter what might be said, she'd still think it was a joke. To show sincerity, the main thing is for her to retrieve what might be recalled first.

"If I receive my memories, then you can save my dad without requiring me to leave, is that what you're saying?"

"Correct, as soon as you're willing to reclaim your memories, I'll heal your dad before your eyes."

Tang Rao wasn't bluffing; the old man is his future father-in-law, he definitely wouldn't recklessly act.

Man Man contemplated thoroughly before finally agreeing.

"Alright, I agree."

She glanced at her father, unsure of what earth-shattering changes might unfold shortly.

But as long as it's benevolent to the old man, she can accept anything.
