The Plant Master Becomes A Mute Sub-Beast: Farming And Laying Eggs
Chapter 351: The Incident at the Snow Iron Fort
In front of the half-rotten old grain storage barn at the head of the village, over twenty villagers consisting entirely of old men over sixty years old and several skinny women were hacking at each other like madmen!
The initial cause seemed to be only because of a torn sack containing less than two kilograms of moldy wheat just found in the barn corner. Anywhere else, it would have come to no more than a few heated words and some tugging.
However under the sky overflowing with rusty iron red fog of this Northern land, right at the moment two old women struggling for the sack tore a small slit, the eyes of all over twenty surrounding villagers suddenly simultaneously turned completely bloodshot like fresh blood! Green veins bulged densely on their temples and necks, the sanity in their eyes completely disappeared, replaced by a terrifying cruelty and bloodlust!
"Kill! Kill them all completely then the wheat belongs to our house!"
A white-haired old man roared like a wild beast, swinging an iron hoe blade chopping straight into the shoulder of the one-legged man who originally was the in-law next door to his house throughout the past thirty years!
The one-legged man being chopped bleeding profusely not only did not feel pain, but conversely the fresh blood smell just rising up even more stimulated the surrounding crowd to go crazier! Several women threw even dry grass baskets down onto the snow, grabbed sickles, carrying poles and sharp rocks charging in smashing straight into the heads of their neighbors, ignoring several four, five-year-old children standing beside screaming themselves hoarse!
"Stop hands immediately!"
Prince Marcus seeing the scene of villagers in his territory slaughtering each other right before the faces of the True Gods terrifiedly shouted loudly, intending to draw his sword jumping down from the horse stopping them. However Kaelen sitting on the horse back acted faster than him by ten times.
Kaelen only lightly waved his right hand. From under the thick stark white snow layer on the empty land plot, dozens of tough green vines immediately shot rocketing up, accurately wrapping tightly the entire hoe blades, iron sickles and two arms of all twenty-something currently frenzied villagers, holding them tightly standing separated apart from each other without breaking a single bone!
Even though having been locked tightly arms and legs by Kaelen’s vines, the over twenty villagers still continued growling in their throats like wild beasts, bloodshot eyes staring intently at each other and exerting effort stretching their necks intending to use teeth biting tearing the opponents!
"Let me try seeing how it goes."
From inside the rattan basket worn before Kaelen’s horse saddle, the Half-Snake boy Oliver poked his small head wearing the rabbit fur hat outside. Oliver’s large round purple eyes looked at the crowd currently losing all sanity before his face, his tiny hands opened the white jade folding fan then lightly fanned toward the front!
Whoosh!
A cold breeze carrying tens of thousands of sparkling bluish-purple snowflake flowers from the folding fan flew out, gently falling down seeping into the head top of every single villager currently being tied held by vines. That was exactly the origin Rule power combined with Oliver’s Water element: using the absolute stillness and order of ice and snow to forcefully extinguish the chaos and hysteria in human minds!
Sure enough, right when the bluish-purple snowflake flowers just melted into the foreheads of over twenty villagers, the bloodshot blood threads in their eyeballs immediately receded at a speed visible to the naked eye. The rapid breathing of the old people and women crowd gradually calmed down.
Only after five breaths, when Kaelen withdrew the green vines back underground, the white-haired old man having just held the hoe chopping into the shoulder of the in-law earlier suddenly shivered once, his eyes recovered complete sanity.
The old man looked down at the hoe blade covered full of fresh blood under his feet, then again looked up at the one-legged in-law currently holding his bleeding shoulder standing opposite, his whole body trembled violently, his complexion pale white like snow:
"Old... old friend! I... just now what was I doing like this?! Why did I hold a hoe chopping into you like this?!"
The surrounding women also simultaneously woke up from the bloodlust frenzy. Seeing the blood stains on the faces of their relatives and neighbors, all terrifiedly dropped their iron sickles and sharp rocks down to the ground, slumped down onto the snow hugging each other and hugging the children crowd bawling out crying in extreme regret and terror!
Finnick spurred his horse stepping up one step, waved his hand releasing a warm green fog helping stop the bleeding and heal the wounds for the one-legged man along with several people having scratches.
While Sane had jumped down from the horse back since when. He stepped out to the middle of the snowfield, extended his right hand grabbing once into the empty space before his face, directly catching neatly a rusty iron red fog streak currently floating in the snowy wind then compressed it tightly into a blackish-red liquid drop as tiny as a bean grain in his palm!
Sane’s deep purple eyes stared intently at the liquid drop currently struggling like a living thing in his hand, his voice dropping cold to the point making the snow under his feet freeze into solid ice:
"It is not an ordinary toxin. That God of Decay worm has used its parasitic meat mass combined with my origin battle halberd fragment to create an array reversing the War rules!"
Kaelen carried Oliver stepping over beside his husband, bent down looking at that blackish-red liquid drop:
"Reversing the War rules means what dear?"
"My true War rules originally were born from the fighting will to protect one’s own kind, forging courage and military order." Sane tightened his hand slightly, using Purple Lightning crushing the blackish-red liquid drop into nothingness, his deep voice filled with wrath flame:
"But that worm has used its malicious intent twisting the pressure radiating from the broken battle halberd piece, turning the fighting will into a blind bloodlust only knowing hacking killing and destroying! Even more poisonous is every blood drop falling down, every human life dying because of hacking killing each other under this blood fog sky will all automatically transform into energy nourishing the parasitic meat mass currently corroding my battle halberd fragment!"
Hearing to this point, Kaelen, Finnick and Oliver all clearly understood why throughout the past fifty years the Three Northern Kingdoms could not stop the war! The more fighting each other many people died then the bloodlust blood fog from the Red Iron valley radiating out was even stronger; and the stronger the blood fog was then the citizens and soldiers lost their minds charging in hacking killing each other even more!
Right when Kaelen’s group just finished analyzing the mechanism of the blood fog and prepared to get on horses continuing, from the main road leading toward the Snow Iron Fort five miles away suddenly rang out rapid galloping hoof sounds!
A young cavalryman wearing an iron armor having shattered a patch before his chest, his whole body covered in fresh blood was currently lying flat on the back of the injured warhorse dashing crazily toward the village. Just running to the village head, the warhorse exhausted buckled its two front legs falling collapsing down onto the thick snow layer, tossing the young cavalryman rolling tumbling several rounds all the way to right before the horse nose of Prince Marcus!
"General Roland?!" Marcus recognized the captain of the royal guards left behind by himself to guard the Snow Iron Fort before going to Silverport, immediately hurriedly jumped down from the horse running over supporting the person up:
"Roland! What matter happened at the Snow Iron Fort?! Why are you severely injured like this?!"
The young general Roland just seeing Marcus was like a drowning person grabbing a buoy, his blood-soaked hand gripping tightly Marcus’s cloak flap, his hoarse voice brokenly intermittently:
"Prince... Lord Prince! You returned already... Quickly think of a way stopping His Majesty! A great disaster crashed down already!"
"What is wrong with Royal Father?! Wasn’t it before I left, Royal Father was still lying recuperating in the royal palace?!" Marcus changed his complexion asking urgently.
"Four nights ago... exactly on the night you participated in the auction at Silverport!" Roland coughed out a mouthful of black blood, two eyes opening wide full of terror recounting: "That night, not understanding why the disease inside His Majesty’s body along with the Kings of the two countries Ironpeak and Stormhold suddenly flared up violently in the exact same moment! His Majesty’s eyes turned completely pitch-black, he personally held a sword hacking to death the entire healers and high officials daring to advise against in the palace, after that directly issued the final general mobilization order across the entire kingdom!"
Marcus’s heart was as if falling straight down into an ice cellar: "The final general mobilization order?!"
"Yes!" Roland’s tears mixed with blood on his face streamed profusely: "Not only our Frostgard kingdom, but the two Kings of Ironpeak and Stormhold countries also went crazy exactly identically like that on the same night! These past three days, all three Kings have personally led the entire remaining armies of the three countries, even forcing even boys just twelve, thirteen years old and sixty-year-old old men having to hold spears following along, gathering up totaling over three hundred thousand people from three directions dragging straight into the heart of the Red Iron Valley already!"
Roland gripped Marcus’s hand tightly, roaring despairingly:
"This afternoon when I led the cavalry team running out blocking at the Snow Iron Fort gate, I saw from underground the Red Iron Valley sprouting up a black meat cocoon as tall as a mountain currently hugging tightly the giant purple spear tip! The three Kings have been completely controlled by that meat cocoon like three wooden puppets already! They have set up sacrificial altars at three valley corners, declaring that exactly when the sun rises early tomorrow morning, the entire three hundred thousand human beings of the three kingdoms will simultaneously charge in hacking killing each other until completely no one survives to offer blood for the newly born God of War from inside the meat cocoon!"
The reporting words just ended, the entire empty land plot at the village head sank into dead silence. Prince Marcus dropped sitting flat down onto the snow floor, his whole body trembling violently, his mouth stammering:
"Three hundred thousand people... That is all the final remaining blood drops of all three Northern kingdoms! If tomorrow morning those three hundred thousand people die completely in the Red Iron Valley, this entire Northern land will be completely exterminated!"
While at the front of the horse convoy, when hearing the sentence "offering blood of three hundred thousand people for the newly born God of War from inside the meat cocoon", the temperature around Sane suddenly plummeted dropping low to the point making even the snowy wind blowing past have to freeze solid! His deep purple eyes switched entirely to a deep purple color profoundly deep like a cosmic abyss, individual destructive Purple Lightning streaks exploding cracklingly under the cloak layer:
"Quite good... Seeing the clone cocoon at the World Tree being smashed into pieces by us, immediately switched to forcing three hundred thousand human beings in the North committing mass suicide to swallow cleanly my battle halberd fragment, even daring to arrogantly demand to impersonate this Sane’s God of War title right before my face?!"
Kaelen standing beside his husband had also completely turned his face cold. He bent down placing Snake Oliver into the lap of the girl Ivy currently sitting on the horse back behind, his sharp and decisive voice ringing out:
"Godfrey, Ivy and twenty Elf warriors stay here protecting the villagers and following behind supporting! As for me, Sane, Finnick along with Oliver, we immediately fly straight to the Red Iron Valley right tonight! Absolutely not letting that stinking worm have time to see tomorrow’s sun!"
"Go!"
Sane did not say half a word more, one hand hugging Kaelen’s waist, the other hand swinging up scooping taking both Finnick and Oliver currently holding ready the white jade folding fan. The giant feathered wings sparkling with purple lightning streaks behind Sane’s back flapped forcefully once making the snow cloud layer above their heads explode, carrying all four people transforming into a purple-green lightning flash tearing the Northern night sky apart, charging straight toward the Red Iron Valley one hundred and fifty miles away!
