Chapter 35: Twin Soul Physique

After decimating the entire undead army, Ethan looked toward Rose with a calm, chilling smile.

"Well, your hundred soldiers are completely wiped out, and your mana is nearly exhausted. Tell me, how do you plan on surviving our hands now?"

Rose smirked, unfazed. Her hair had turned red again. With a flick of her wrist, a glowing white bead suddenly materialized in her palm, instantly expanding to wrap her in a shimmering, transparent white energy barrier.

"This bead was gifted to me directly from the Water God Inheritance grounds," Rose declared, her voice dripping with defiant confidence.

"Though I couldn’t claim many treasures from that place, this bead is easily one of the most precious. It is capable of completely blocking any attack up to Rank 6! Do you honestly believe you can break through this barrier? Let’s see who runs out of time first—whether you can shatter this shield, or I recover enough mana to turn the tables."

Ethan simply smiled, completely unfazed by her boasting. "If this had been a closely guarded secret of yours, I might actually be panicking right now. But the truth is... you never really kept it a secret in the upper circles. That’s why I already came prepared with its exact counter."

Reaching into his spatial inventory, Ethan pulled out a dark, ominous black sphere. To acquire this single item, he had been forced to spend nearly all of his remaining Fate Points, leaving his balance precariously dwindled down to just 10,000 points. Without a second thought, he tossed the sphere to Selena.

"Throw this at her barrier with everything you’ve got," Ethan commanded.

Selena caught the black sphere, her sharp eyes darting from the strange object to the glowing white shield ahead.

A spark of understanding flashed in her gaze. Drawing back her arm, she spun with ferocious momentum and hurled the sphere straight toward the barrier.

The moment the sphere left her hand, its shape violently warped and stretched, transforming mid-air into a majestic, razor-sharp Black Eagle. With a piercing cry, the dark avian entity slammed headfirst into the white shield.

CRACK! SHATTER!

The impenetrable barrier, designed to withstand a full-powered Rank-6 assault, splintered like fragile glass before instantly imploding into nothingness. Simultaneously, severe fractures spiderwebbed across the white bead in Rose’s hand before it shattered completely into dust.

All the color instantly drained from Rose’s face, leaving her stark white with horror. Her mana reserves were already dangerously depleted, and she hadn’t recovered nearly enough energy to even cast a basic Rank-1 spell, let alone defend herself.

Seeing the utter futility of resistance, she slowly raised both hands in the air.

It was a crushing, absolute defeat.

Seeing her immobilized, Ethan gave Selena a sharp nod. Moving with blinding, supersonic speed, Selena vanished from her spot and reappeared directly in front of Rose, the razor-sharp edge of her silver sword coming to a rest right against Rose’s trembling throat.

Looking toward Ethan with a desperate expression, Rose pleaded, "Listen to me! Why are you even backing Selena? Do you want revenge against me, or do you want all my property transferred to her name? I can do that myself. Even if you spare my life, I can deed half my estate to her right now. All she has to do is claim she’s stronger than me—with your backing, she can take half my wealth effortlessly."

"and If you want, we can sign a contract as well."

Ethan smiled coldly, his eyes devoid of warmth. "No. I simply want to kill you and bring your corpse to Lumian. Seeing that specific sight on his face will bring me unmatched satisfaction."

Hearing that chilling declaration, a deep, bone-chilling freeze ran through Selena’s heart. The fact that a child was casually talking about presenting a mother’s corpse to her son was deeply unsettling. Yet, she kept her expression completely neutral, showing no external reaction.

"What’s his problem with Lumian?"

Then she let out a long sigh. Now, there was only one way left for her to survive.

"Killing me won’t give you anything of real value. But if you keep me alive and accept my deal, I can grant you something far greater: a second class."

A second class. That single piece of information genuinely hooked Ethan’s interest.

"Listen," Rose hurried to explain, realizing she had struck a chord.

"Since I’ve completely lost, I’ll tell you the biggest secret of my life. I actually belong to an organization called Kalka. It’s a widespread syndicate of Black Mages operating across the entire kingdom and empire. I am one of the minor elder-leaders there. Even though my ranking is low, the top leader listens closely to me because of my unique physique—the Twin Soul Physique."

She continued, her voice trembling slightly.

"Because of this physique, I possess two souls.

One soul rests quietly and sleeps inside me at all times, while the main soul stays awake. This duality is what allows me to hold two separate classes: both a Mage and a Black Magician."

Ethan stared at her, genuinely surprised. He had never heard of a physique capable of granting dual classes. Frowning deeply, he asked, "Even if you have this physique, what does that have to do with me? Why should I keep you alive?"

"Because anyone who takes my virginity gains the chance to inherit a portion of my unique constitution and awaken a secondary class of their own!" Rose revealed.

This time, Ethan was truly staggered. His eyes widened in shock before his expression hardened into a deep frown. "Wait... aren’t you already married? Seraphina and Lumian are your children."

Rose shook her head with a cynical smile. "You probably don’t know this, but elite Black Mages possess a high-tier forbidden technique called the Blood Clone Spell. They can craft a permanent, autonomous blood clone to act in their stead. The woman who married, shared her nights, and bore Lumian and Seraphina’s father was never me—it was my blood clone. I refused to waste my nights or risk early pregnancy because my sole ambition was to grow truly powerful."

"So... you’re still a virgin?" Ethan asked, his gaze narrowing.

"Yes," Rose affirmed.

A wave of realizations washed over Ethan. So that’s why she never showed any genuine maternal warmth toward Seraphina, and why she let her suffer so much! She wasn’t even her real mother—she’s a manipulative, cold-hearted bitch who deceived everyone from the very beginning.

Smirking darkly, Ethan tilted his head. "So what? You want me to take your virginity?"

"Yes, that’s my offer," Rose said, grasping at straws. "Let’s sign a magical contract. When you turn twenty years old, you can take my virginity.

After all, right now you’re just a child, and you wouldn’t even know what to do with a woman. We can formalize it through a binding agreement, and once the time comes, you’ll awaken your second class."
