Chapter 109: Chapter 109: Wish Come True, Miss Innocent Goes Live

Moments later, the expressions of the kimono-clad men shifted at a visible rate, accompanied by faint, muttered curses of "Baka."

Rian Sinclair couldn’t care less whether they had relocated their things or not. She was dead set on blowing this so-called shrine to kingdom come.

Glancing past Quentin Sinclair, who stood in front of her and partially blocked her view, she turned her head to look at the Sakurans opposite them.

"If that’s the case, then you all better take a good, hard look. You won’t get the chance to see it again after this, considering I won a whole third of the land rights at the auction."

The men across from her made no move, but the twitching muscles in their faces made it clear they were furious.

Rian covered her mouth, looking at the group in feigned shock and utter disbelief. "Don’t tell me you’re not even going to give the Brown family face? It’s the 21st century—are you really still going back on your word?"

She wasn’t speaking the Sakuran language; she spoke Veridian. Although they couldn’t understand Rian’s words directly, her demeanor and the translation provided by a man nearby made her meaning perfectly clear.

The group looked at Rian with a myriad of expressions, but they all shared one commonality: a barely contained, murderous rage. However, intimidated by the Brown family and the powerful nation of Veridia backing her, they didn’t dare make a rash move.

After all, having served as Meridia’s lapdogs for so many years, they couldn’t just stop groveling on a whim. Besides, with such a formidable country standing behind her, they knew better than to act recklessly.

Then, the lead man spoke up. "Since Miss Sinclair is here, why don’t we go inside and take a seat? We can discuss this further."

Rian was in no mood to negotiate with him. She checked the time on her phone, remembering her little fans on Sharkstream. The college entrance exams seemed to have ended today. She wondered how Ash Sinclair had done. With all her flying around, she hadn’t paid much attention to Veridian time, so she figured she would ask him after finishing her livestream.

Without further ado, she started the broadcast. Instantly, waves of viewers flooded in. The stream lagged for a split second, but likely thanks to the desperate efforts of the programmers, it quickly stabilized.

Immediately after, a dense barrage of comments sent the chat flying.

[HOLY CRAP! My wish came true! Miss Innocent is live!]

[What the heck is going on? Where is this? Why is the stream upside down? Is The Innocent Heiress taking us on a roller coaster?]

[Where is Miss Innocent! Your humble servants are here to welcome you!]

[My Miss Innocent, I’m here! I... I am your most precious little fan.]

[Way to go, The Innocent Heiress! My first wish has already been fulfilled. Looks like I was born with a lucky streak.]

[By the way, where is Miss Innocent right now? Why do the buildings look so weird?]

[Didn’t Innocent say there was a little gift? For the exam candidates.]

[Hey above, bringing up the entrance exams just makes me mad. Who wrote that math paper?! They completely shattered my college dreams!]

[WTF! So I’m not the only one who thought this year’s math exam was impossibly hard?]

[Nah, I think all the subjects were pretty balanced. They were all completely filled with words I couldn’t understand.]

[When I read that first half, I had my knife drawn. But looking closer, it turns out you’re on our side. Too late, bro, be careful in your next life.]

[RIP to our fallen brother.]

...

Rian watched helplessly as the netizens bounced between chatting about wishes and complaining about the entrance exams. It was quite the spectacle.

As for the Sakurans’ invitation, why should she accept? This wasn’t something they could negotiate anyway, so why waste her breath? Rian’s expression remained indifferent as she addressed the man in front of her.

"There’s no need for that. Since you’re all out here, I assume you’ve already moved everything out of there. Well then, I’ll be taking back my land now."

Rian’s cool, clear voice rang out across the crowd and immediately blew up the livestream chat.

[HOLY CRAP! As expected of my Miss Innocent! Her voice is absolutely to die for!]

[Did anyone see the hottie next to Miss Innocent?! Dressed in a suit like that, he’s either her boy toy or a one-night stand!]

[No, no, no, you’ve got it all wrong, sister. Maybe he’s her special assistant?]

[Wait, is the assistant industry really this competitive nowadays? They have to be this good-looking?]

[It’s not about the industry being competitive, it’s just that our Miss Innocent is too charming. Just look at her aura and figure! Would she ever hire some plain, average-looking assistant?]

[Preach! It really is true that gorgeous people flock together!]

[Tsk, tsk, tsk. Miss Innocent this, Miss Innocent that. So she has a bit of filthy money, big deal. What if she’s some catfishing grandma behind the camera? Disgusting.]

[Ooh, someone’s mad. What’s the matter? Are you rolling in dough? Is your catfishing grandma richer than Miss Innocent?]

[Umm... guys... let me drop a truth bomb here. Miss Innocent’s assistant looks exactly like the CEO of The Glacial Spire... The Glacial Spire has tons of subsidiaries. Just Google it, guys.]

[GASP! Does Miss Innocent actually have unlimited wealth? All of those assets combined have to be worth hundreds of billions in market value... This is insane!]

[Say no more, I’m calling her ’Mommy’ first out of respect!]

[Hey above, you’re going to break your real mom’s heart. Don’t let money blind you!]

[You just don’t get it. Once I’m officially adopted into the family, I’ll give half my allowance to my real mom.]

[LMAO! 10/10, taking notes right now! Truly, everyone’s vision is different.]

[Hold on, if Miss Innocent is young, does that mean you guys want someone who gave birth to you when she was a toddler?]

[Miss Innocent must be a beautiful older lady, a wealthy auntie! Rich Auntie, I don’t want to work hard anymore! Feed me, I’m starving!]

[Auntie, feed me, starving!]

[Auntie, feed me...]

...

Glancing at the chat, Rian no longer had the time or patience to deal with the Sakurans. She left the arrangements to Quentin while she sat off to the side, simply watching the barrage of comments. After reading the chat, she adjusted her camera to film right side up, making it easier for her audience to watch.

As for donations, Rian had disabled them long ago. She really didn’t need their pocket change.

Rian looked at the screen and saw that the chat had completely unified, spamming a synchronized wall of text: [Auntie, feed me, starving!]

She looked at the messages, then glanced at the reflection of her own face on the phone screen, feeling slightly bewildered. "How did I become an ’Auntie’? I’m not even that old."

Rian’s words caused the chat to explode once again.

[HOLY CRAP! Miss Innocent’s voice just got me pregnant with septuplets! I absolutely love it!]

[If she dated me online with that voice, she could scam me out of my very last pair of underwear!]

[Everyone shut up about the ’Auntie’ stuff, this is my fairy goddess!]

[I’m a vocal major, and when I say The Innocent Heiress isn’t using a voice changer, I mean she isn’t using a voice changer! Her voice is absolute perfection!]

[Even though I can’t lick the screen right now, this voice is making my knees weak!]

[Mommy, save me! This goddess is killing me!]

[Sob... Miss Innocent, just use your voice to scam me! I’d happily go bankrupt just to treat you well!]
