The Rebate Tycoon: Spend on Him, Get Rich
Chapter 33: Favorability Disorder
Chapter 33: Chapter 33: Favorability Disorder
Thinking of the attribute points she had just acquired, Rian Sinclair spoke to the system in her mind. "System, open the attribute panel."

Rian studied it for a moment. "Add thirteen to mental strength, twenty to physical strength, and put the rest into my charm value."
[Attribute points successfully added! Mental Strength: [77 -> 90] Physical Strength: [70 -> 90] charm value: [60 -> 67]]
After allocating her attribute points, Rian lay back on her bed and let her mind wander. An unknown amount of time passed before her phone vibrated slightly, pulling her back to reality.
She stared at the unsaved number on the screen, her lips pressed into a thin line, and ignored the call. But the person on the other end seemed relentless, dialing her number over and over again. Seeing that the ringing showed no signs of stopping, she finally answered. Immediately, an incredibly pleasant male voice drifted through the receiver.
"Rian, it took you so long to answer my call. It really breaks my heart."
Rian frowned at the sound of his voice. "Cut the crap and spit it out," she said in utter annoyance.
The voice on the other end paused before erupting into a high-pitched, erratic fit of crazed, extreme laughter. "HAHAHAHAHAHA!"
(PS: If you want to hear what it sounds like, search for *C You’s Voice Room* on Douyin.)
"Lunatic," Rian cursed.
The man stopped laughing, his tone rising teasingly. "Rian, we’re the exact same kind of people. Remember back when—"
"Shut up!" Rian snapped, her voice suddenly rising.
The man chuckled softly. "Rian, our fates are intertwined now. Besides, when is my dear Rian coming in for her treatment?"
Still lying in bed, Rian fell silent for a moment. "Tonight. The usual place."
"Don’t bail on me again, Rian," the man said, his tone turning flat. Rian murmured an agreement before hanging up.
(Ian wants to mention: a yandere character is making an entrance. He doesn’t have much screen time and won’t affect the overall read. If you darlings don’t like this trope, feel free to skip it.)
The system sensed its host’s massive emotional fluctuations but couldn’t detect the cause. Her memories regarding this matter seemed to have vanished entirely, which left him—a highly advanced creation—rather baffled.
Normally, a system’s inability to access files came down to level restrictions. But he was of the highest possible grade; such a limitation was impossible. The second explanation was that these were memories the host desperately wanted to forget, burying them deep within her subconscious and refusing to release them for scanning.
By becoming her system, they were bound together—they would rise and fall as one. If he forcibly examined her memories and triggered her rebellious nature, she could initiate a forced unbinding. Doing so before the designated time would only lead to disastrous consequences: the host’s physical body would disintegrate, and the system’s data would scatter into nothingness.
As an advanced interstellar creation, he had completed countless missions and hoarded enough savings to eat, drink, and play for a lifetime. He had no desire to dissolve into data and become a wandering ghost in the cosmos, unable to return to his home galaxy.
He didn’t even understand the Lord God’s arrangements that led him to become Rian’s system in the first place. He was supposed to be lying flat, enjoying a work-free life traveling with his wife, but instead, the Lord God had assigned him here. Furthermore, there were absolutely no restrictions placed on his host. It genuinely made him wonder if she was the Lord God’s illegitimate daughter.
None of the gifts or resources came with penalty clauses; it was pure, selfless contribution. This was entirely different from his past assignments. Before, he would worry himself sick, fighting tooth and nail to secure advantages for his hosts so they could finish their missions as quickly as possible. But this time? The mission had no time limit, and the rewards were unrestricted and granted automatically without any need to apply. As for when the mission would actually be completed, he hadn’t the faintest idea.
Rian changed into a long, form-fitting red dress that perfectly accentuated her stunning figure. She let her slightly wavy long hair cascade loosely down her back and slipped into a pair of black stilettos. Turning to the mirror, she applied a charming shade of red lipstick before grabbing a silver-white haute couture clutch from her walk-in closet.
She was just about to head out when Auntie Alden’s voice rang out. "Miss, it’s a bit chilly tonight. You should bring a coat."
Rian turned around and accepted the pure white mink-fur cardigan Auntie Alden handed her. "Auntie Alden, please feed Bandage upstairs for me. Don’t bother saving me any dinner."
Auntie Alden smiled and readily agreed. "I’ll have Old Man Forrest drive you then."
Rian didn’t refuse and simply nodded.
Once in the car, she gave him the address and leaned back, closing her eyes to rest. Uncle Forrest was a steady driver, allowing her to enjoy a pleasant nap along the way.
"Miss, we’ve arrived," Uncle Forrest’s voice called out, rousing her.
Rian opened her eyes and looked out the window. Seeing the light drizzle falling outside, she frowned slightly; she absolutely hated rainy days.
Uncle Forrest stepped out with an umbrella and came around to open her door. Rian stepped out, took the umbrella from him, and glanced around. "Uncle Forrest, I’ll text you when I’m ready to leave."
He nodded in acknowledgment as Rian walked away into the rain.
She headed toward the entrance, where the word "Moonlight" caught her eye. Stepping inside the club, she was instantly assaulted by blasting music that grated on her ears. She paused for only a split second before continuing inward.
Dodging the patrons milling about, she approached a bartender. The man looked slightly startled before lowering his voice. "Miss Sinclair, Ninth Master Rivers is in the usual spot on the third floor."
Rian gave a deadpan nod and made her way toward the elevator. The bartender hurried over to press the call button for her, then stood silently to the side.
DING.
The elevator doors slid open, and Rian stepped out without looking back, leaving the bartender behind. Following the room numbers, she marched straight to Room 444 and pushed the door open.
The scene inside was just as chaotic as the club floor below. Men and women filled the room. Most of the women were clearly hostesses working for Moonlight, while the men were obviously wealthy patrons. A small handful of other women were just there for a good time, accompanied by a few of the club’s male models.
Rian pinched the bridge of her nose. A quick sweep of the room landed her gaze on the man sitting in the center seat of honor.
She walked straight over and took a seat beside him. The moment she sat down, the man rested a loose arm over her shoulders. "Rian, getting you to come out is no easy feat. I nearly got the cold shoulder."
Remaining utterly expressionless, Rian swatted his hand away. "Get your filthy paws off me."
The man laughed and withdrew his arm, leaning back against the sofa. He exuded an aura of complete and utter languor.
[DING! High-quality handsome male detected. Appearance rated at 98. Qualifies for the ten-times spending cashback!]
[Detected that this character’s affection value toward the host is erratic. Therefore, his affection value cannot be converted into attribute points.]
Slightly surprised by the system’s notification, Rian turned to look at Jasper Rivers. Jasper raised an eyebrow, meeting her gaze. "What is it, Rian? Captivated by my good looks? What a pity..."
He laced his hands behind his head and leaned back further. "It’s a pity I’m not into women."
