Chapter 810: 810. Demoness of Sky

Somewhere in the vast sky above the continent, clouds and mist intertwined, covering the surrounding heavens in a hazy white veil. A magnificent Flying Boat was traveling through the clouds when the Golden Core cultivator standing at its bow suddenly narrowed his eyes. He stared at the dense mist ahead and spoke coldly, "Since you’ve come, why not show yourself?"

The moment his voice spread out, the cultivators aboard the Flying Boat became alert. They immediately turned their gazes toward the clouds ahead, and several powerful spiritual senses swept outward. Yet before anyone could discover anything, a faint and lazy laugh drifted from within the mist.

"Hehe..."

The laughter was neither loud nor threatening, but it caused the expressions of the cultivators on the Flying Boat to change.

The mist slowly parted.

A small Flying Boat emerged from within, moving gracefully through the clouds. Its entire body was emerald green and seemed to have been carved from the finest jade. Ancient spiritual patterns covered its surface, faintly flashing beneath the sunlight. Several exquisitely beautiful maidservants stood upon its deck. Each one possessed an extraordinary temperament and an impressive cultivation base. If any of these women appeared in the outside world, they would immediately be regarded as fairies and become the object of countless cultivators’ admiration.

Yet at this moment, every one of them stood respectfully on the emerald Flying Boat, their heads slightly lowered.

Behind them was the main cabin, covered by delicate tasseled curtains. Through the gaps between the curtains, one could vaguely see a graceful figure reclining lazily upon a couch.

Her face could not be seen clearly.

However, even a mere silhouette was enough to make one’s heart tremble.

There was an indescribable majesty surrounding that woman. It was as though one were standing before a towering ancient mountain, causing an instinctive urge to lower one’s head. Noble, beautiful, and transcendent—every aspect of her bearing seemed to declare that she was no ordinary person.

One of the cultivators aboard the first Flying Boat suddenly sucked in a cold breath.

"It’s the Demoness of Sky!"

The moment those words were spoken, the atmosphere became deathly silent.

The name of the Demoness of Sky had long since resounded throughout the Cultivation World. She was not only astonishingly beautiful but also a terrifying Golden Core cultivator. Among the younger generation, she was an existence that countless geniuses could only look up to. Her reputation alone was enough to make many cultivators tremble.

The Golden Core cultivator standing at the front of the Flying Boat immediately became cautious. He looked toward the jade-green Flying Boat and cupped his fists.

"This humble one wonders what the Demoness of Sky wants from us?"

His tone was extremely polite.

There was no trace of the arrogance he had displayed earlier.

The curtains of the cabin moved slightly, and a lazy voice came from within.

"I’m sorry for stopping you."

The woman did not sound particularly interested in the situation.

"I merely came here for the Nine-Color Heaven Cleansing Sand. Someone has offered a rather generous price for it. If you hand it over, I’ll allow you all to leave safely."

The Golden Core cultivator’s expression stiffened.

Nine-Color Heaven Cleansing Sand was an extremely precious material. His sect had gone through considerable effort to obtain it, and he was personally responsible for transporting it back.

But after hearing the Demoness of Sky’s words, he did not dare refuse.

After hesitating for only a few breaths, he took out a jade vial from his storage ring and respectfully sent it forward.

"This is the Nine-Color Heaven Cleansing Sand."

The vial floated through the air and landed inside the emerald Flying Boat.

A fair hand reached out from behind the curtains and casually accepted it.

"Thank you."

The Demoness of Sky did not say anything else.

The emerald Flying Boat immediately turned around and disappeared into the distant clouds.

Only after it had completely vanished did the cultivators aboard the other Flying Boat finally relax.

Several Golden Core cultivators exchanged glances with bitter expressions.

"What is this Demoness doing in our continent?"

One of them wiped away the cold sweat from his forehead.

They had originally been carrying precious resources back to their sect. Now, one of the most valuable items had been taken away without them even having the courage to resist.

Fortunately, the Demoness of Sky had only wanted the Nine-Color Heaven Cleansing Sand.

If she had taken a liking to them instead, the consequences would have been difficult to imagine.

Meanwhile, aboard the emerald Flying Boat, the Demoness of Sky lazily played with the jade vial in her hand.

She removed the stopper and gently shook it.

Inside, countless grains of sand floated strangely.

The Nine colors were distinct, yet they constantly approached one another. Whenever two colors separated by even the slightest distance, they would immediately be drawn back together, only to repel each other again once they got too close.

It was a peculiar sight.

The Demoness of Sky observed it for a moment before a trace of curiosity finally appeared in her eyes.

"I wonder who is ordering so many rare materials."

She closed the vial and leaned back against the couch.

"If you can find out who is collecting these things, tell me."

Her voice was extremely casual.

She did not particularly care about the answer.

She was simply curious.

After all, someone capable of gathering so many precious materials was unlikely to be an ordinary person.

The maidservant beside her respectfully bowed.

"Yes, Young Mistress."

The Demoness of Sky closed her eyes.

The emerald Flying Boat continued forward, disappearing into the endless sea of clouds.

Four days had passed since Tyler borrowed the ancient sword from Chu Yang.

At this moment, Tyler was standing inside his laboratory with several vials arranged before him.

One of them was held in his hand, while countless others covered the table.

The one in his hand is the same Vial that Demoness of Sky just robbed a few days ago.

Each vial contained a different rare material, and the combined value of everything in the room was enough to make even a powerful sect bleed.

The ancient sword floated beside him, buzzing softly as it stared at the collection.

"You really obtained everything?"

Its blade tilted slightly.

"And not only that, you obtained such a large quantity?"

Tyler smiled.

Obtaining the materials had actually been much easier than the ancient sword had expected. After establishing the White Merchant Group, Tyler had naturally come into contact with countless merchants and powerful organizations. Some of those merchants had eventually become his friends, allowing him to purchase many of the rare materials directly.

As for the materials that were even harder to obtain, Tyler had managed to acquire small quantities through his sect and their connections with sect master help.

Of course, even after all that, he still did not have enough.

Fortunately, he had the Copper Pot.

Once Tyler obtained even a small amount of each material, he simply placed them into the Copper Pot and multiplied them.

It was almost cheating.

Returning to the present, Tyler looked at the mountain of materials and nodded with satisfaction.

"Hmm. If this doesn’t work, I’ll have to borrow Hazel and teleport all over the world searching for them. Fortunately, I managed to obtain everything."

The ancient sword buzzed.

"Since you have everything, the next step is simple. Just follow my instructions."

One day later...

A huge iron pot stood in the middle of the laboratory.

Inside it was a thick black liquid that boiled violently, releasing an unpleasant smell. Strange bubbles continuously rose from the surface and burst with a pop.

Tyler stood several steps away and stared at it.

"What the hell is this?"

"This is it."

The ancient sword did not bother explaining further.

It suddenly flew into the air and plunged directly into the boiling black liquid.

Splash!

The sword slowly disappeared beneath the surface.

"Ahhh..."

A satisfied voice came from inside the pot.

"This is life!"

Tyler’s mouth twitched.

The black liquid slowly began eating away at the rust and impurities covering the ancient sword. Every few moments, tiny pieces of blackened material peeled away from the blade and dissolved into the liquid.

"Just wait for half a day," the sword said comfortably.

Tyler nodded.

"Fine."

He pulled up a chair, sat down, and patiently waited.

The ancient sword, meanwhile, gradually stopped speaking.

After suffering for more than a hundred thousand years, this was probably the first time it had felt such comfort. Its consciousness slowly sank into a deep sleep.

Half a day later, Tyler finally stood up.

"Oi."

There was no response.

Tyler frowned and looked into the pot.

"Are you alive?"

He reached inside and pulled out the sword.

The ancient weapon was completely different now.

The rust had vanished.

Its steel blade shone brightly beneath the spiritual light, and even the stone-like handle had become clean and smooth.

Tyler stared at it.

"Did I make a mistake and accidentally kill it?"

He shook the sword. Nothing happened.

Tyler shook it harder.

"Oi! Are you there? Are you alive?"

"AH!" The ancient sword suddenly shouted. "I am not dead! I was sleeping! Stop shaking me!"

Tyler immediately stopped.

A relieved smile appeared on his face.

"Good." He looked at the gleaming blade with anticipation. "Now, let’s test your abilities."
