The Rogue Villager Chen Erbao
Chapter 443: Street Racing
Huang Baiwen propped himself up with one hand on the table, his gaze falling on the four large, flamboyantly written words hanging on the far wall: “Hidden Dragon in the Abyss.” He sank into thought.
“Uncle Xu, have someone secretly investigate what my big brother has been busy with lately… And don’t mention what happened today to anyone.”
Uncle Xu nodded instinctively. Seeing Huang Sanlang’s grave, almost conflicted expression, he quietly offered his analysis from the side:
“Young Master, when I brushed past Chen Haonan just now, I felt that he wasn’t a Top level Expert… Hmm, what I mean is, he’s very likely a Grandmaster…”
As he said the last part, Uncle Xu couldn’t help but laugh.
The speculation was so outrageous that even he found it hard to believe.
In all of China, aside from the hidden Ancient Martial Sects and Noble Families, it was basically impossible for a young Grandmaster to appear in the secular world.
Unless he was a once-in-a-century genius!
Like Hua Yueqing.
But even Hua Yueqing had only successfully advanced to the rank of Grandmaster after receiving guidance from a high-ranking figure in the security bureau. ‘Chen Haonan? I’ve never heard of him.’
Huang Sanlang let out a quiet sigh and said to Uncle Xu:
“Uncle Xu, he could tell you used to be a Grandmaster. And when he spoke of Grandmasters, there wasn’t the slightest ripple in his tone… I’ve met a few young men stuck at the level of a Top level Expert, but none of them could mention the Grandmaster realm as casually as he did…”
“Unless… he’s already a Grandmaster!”
Uncle Xu’s expression went slack. He swallowed unconsciously, feeling the whole idea was simply absurd.
…
After leaving the club, Chen Erbao drove the hotel’s sports car down the smooth highway. Feng Qingwan sat in the passenger seat, energetically studying his side profile and occasionally clicking her tongue with a “tsk tsk.”
With the serious business done, Chen Erbao finally had time to deal with this crazy woman.
“What are you staring at me for? And what about your car? Did you just leave it at the club?”
he asked, his eyes fixed on the road.
Feng Qingwan giggled.
“It’s just a car. The Huang Family will have someone drive it back for me. But you… you’re much more interesting!”
Chen Erbao rolled his eyes helplessly.
“Where do you live? I’ll take you home. I don’t want the money I won. Just remember to keep what happened today a secret. Don’t tell anyone.”
He didn’t really care about ten or twenty million. After all, his face mask company earned more than that in a single day.
Bai Xiaoqing estimated that the Longteng Group’s monthly revenue could reach nearly a billion.
“Are you in such a hurry to send me home? But I don’t want to go home just yet…”
Feng Qingwan tugged at the short skirt on her legs, revealing a flash of fair skin. Chen Erbao glanced over instinctively.
“Wanna touch?”
Noticing his gaze, Feng Qingwan’s lips curved into a smirk as she asked probingly.
“…”
Chen Erbao’s face darkened. ‘This woman is seriously not right in the head,’ he thought.
‘What kind of quiet-looking girl in a pleated skirt unleashes a torrent of curses every time she opens her mouth, and on top of that, drives even more smoothly than he does?’
Feng Qingwan, taking a mile after he gave an inch, leaned her pale thigh against the center console, putting it right where Chen Erbao could reach out and touch it. At the same time, she swept her hair up, revealing her fragrant shoulders and delicate collarbones. Her ample chest jutted out slightly, and she even tried to tempt him, both intentionally and unintentionally, by deliberately covering her collar in a gesture that only drew more attention to it.
“I don’t want to go home right now. Just drive around with me for a bit.”
Chen Erbao couldn’t ignore the expanse of pale skin. Suppressing the thrill in his heart, he feigned indifference and said:
“I have things to do back home. Where do you live? If you don’t tell me, you can get out here.”
He didn’t want to get involved with this abnormal woman.
Feng Qingwan seemed to sense the distance in Chen Erbao’s words. Her coquettish posing stopped, and the smile vanished from her face.
She watched the vegetation rapidly receding on either side and let out an imperceptible sigh.
“My house is hard to find. Let me drive.”
Chen Erbao suspected this girl wasn’t even of age. ‘But since she’s offering to drive, she probably wouldn’t be driving without a license… right?’ he thought.
He pulled the car over, pushed open the door, and got out. Feng Qingwan then got out and slid into the driver’s seat.
As the seatbelt tightened, her full figure was thrown into sharp relief, practically bursting out. The neckline of her top was pulled open, creating a gap through which Chen Erbao could even see a flash of red…
Chen Erbao took two deep breaths to suppress the turmoil in his heart.
‘My resistance in this area has been getting weaker and weaker lately,’ he thought. ‘It’s not like I’m short on women around me, but I just never seem to get tired of them.’
Feng Qingwan expertly shifted gears, then slowly started the car, pulling smoothly onto the road.
The speed gradually increased, and the red sports car became a blur as it raced toward the city.
The car was silent. For some reason, Feng Qingwan didn’t speak again, and Chen Erbao was more than happy for the peace and quiet, not saying a word to provoke her.
After a while, Feng Qingwan’s red lips parted, and she spoke as if to herself:
“You think I’m very wanton, not like a proper girl at all… don’t you?”
Chen Erbao didn’t answer.
‘Isn’t that obvious?!’
‘What kind of rich young lady dresses all pure and innocent but spews profanities every time she opens her mouth…’
Silence is admission.
Feng Qingwan gave a self-deprecating laugh.
“I don’t want to be like this either… But good girls just get bullied. You have to pretend to be a monster, all teeth and claws, just so people can’t see your weak side.”
The night sky was still. The sound of the wind rushing past the car was a low WHOOSH, like static through a microphone, a rustling that stirred the heart.
Chen Erbao couldn’t help but ask:
“Aren’t you a young lady of the Feng Family? Who would dare bully you?”
He had heard a little about the Feng Family. He’d seen them mentioned in the files on the Huang Family that Xiao Guang had given him. They were another powerhouse in Binhai, apparently in finance and trade, and very influential.
Feng Qingwan chuckled dryly.
“Young lady…”
She murmured the words, then suddenly slammed her foot on the accelerator. The car surged forward.
The roaring engine screamed, showing off the superior performance of the high-end sports car. Feng Qingwan continuously overtook one car after another as the speed climbed from 120. In less than thirty seconds, the speedometer was already approaching 200.
The scenery outside the windows was already a blur, flashing by like a slideshow.
Chen Erbao’s expression changed slightly. He turned his head to look at Feng Qingwan, whose face was a mask of mania and excitement.
“You’re going too fast!”
‘Has this girl lost her mind?’
He fumbled for the grab handle on the side and focused his attention on the road ahead.
The car’s speed continued to increase, soon breaking 200.
“Hahahaha, now this is exciting… Are you scared? Aren’t you a Top level Expert? Hahahaha!”
Feng Qingwan laughed loudly, her eyes growing brighter and brighter, but her expression was intensely focused, glued to the road.
“Are you crazy?”
Chen Erbao’s brows furrowed deeply. The Spiritual Power in his body began to circulate; he was ready to jump from the car at any moment.
