The Ruined World Was Mistaken for a Game
Chapter 310: Our Arsilan (3)
Translator: Dreamscribe
We won!
And it wasn't just any victory.
We had completely seized control of the Great Gate held by the Kalsus Dimensional Empire, and the dimension that had served as the battlefield had been fully incorporated into Arsilan.
It was a resounding victory!
It was a shame that the Satellite Weapon with its tremendous firepower had been completely destroyed, but there was an upside as well.
The falling fragments of the Satellite Weapon had shattered into smaller pieces and formed a ring around the Great Gate. The Dimension Stones that had made up the Satellite Weapon shimmered beautifully as they formed the ring.
The area around the Great Gate was overflowing with a new resource that Arsilan had never possessed before!
And a wealth of technology and information could also be extracted from the various Kalsus Dimensional Empire facilities still remaining around the Great Gate.
Through Informationization, Jinwoo turned the technologies themselves into items so the Heroes could learn them immediately. He also revealed several previously unresolved pieces of lore all at once, giving them something new to enjoy while exploring the newly acquired Great Gate.
“Whoa! This thing's fucking huge.”
“Hey! Hurry up and move it!”
“Yes, sir!”
The Magic Armors that had distinguished themselves in the war were modified for industrial work. The Magic Armors launched from the ships approached the ring around the Great Gate, mined Dimension Stones, and transported them back to the ships.
Dimension Stones were hard, and if they were mined incorrectly, they would scatter apart in an instant. Mining them was highly difficult because the work had to be done at extremely low temperatures.
When Magic Stones and Dimension Stones were mixed together and used as fuel for Mana Engines, their efficiency increased by more than tenfold. It also became possible to modify the Beam Weapons used by the Kalsus Dimensional Empire and put them to use.
While the Heroes and Arsilanians savored their victory and basked in its afterglow, Jinwoo remained busy. He had to visit every world that had newly joined Arsilan.
‘It really has gotten huge. The old Arsilan looks like a speck now.’
Jinwoo marveled as he looked over the map of Arsilan. Arsilan now resembled what people on Earth would call a star cluster.
At its center sat the Soul Sun, radiating the most beautiful and brilliant light of all, while more than five thousand stars were spread evenly around it.
Countless worlds stretched out around the Soul Sun. Arsilan's night sky had become even more beautiful and romantic now that so many large stars filled it.
“I can feel my power surging.”
“Me too!”
Ella drew power from people's hopes and the light of their souls, while Helby received a share of her power from starlight. As Arsilan grew larger, Helby and Ella also grew stronger. They had now reached the point where they could easily be called High Gods.
“I've grown taller.”
Helby looked extremely pleased as she examined the roughly 0.5 centimeters she had gained in height.
Jinwoo's authority had also grown dramatically.
The Soul Gate had grown into the Soul Moon, and then into the Soul Sun. Each time it evolved, his authority had increased tremendously, and this time was no exception.
[Lord God]Soul Sun
An eternally shining star imbued with all the hope and light of Earth and Arsilan.
The happier Arsilan and Earth become, the stronger Arsilan's existence grows, and the more they prosper, the more brilliantly the Soul Sun shines and the greater its authority becomes. The prayers and wishes of all can manifest as miracles within the Soul Sun.
This brilliant light transcends dimensional boundaries and influences the entirety of the Dimensional Realm.
*(NEW)As long as the Soul Sun exists within the Dimensional Realm, every being belonging to Arsilan will be summoned back to Arsilan immediately before death, no matter where they are.
*(NEW)The light periodically emitted by the Soul Sun will reach throughout the Dimensional Realm and exert various influences.
*(NEW)Dimensions that wish to join Arsilan can be accepted. Light may also be bestowed upon Bubble Dimensions, allowing them to be merged into Arsilan.
Jinwoo had now become a god capable of exerting tremendous influence across the entire Dimensional Realm. It was only natural, considering that he had taken control of the entire southern region of the Dimensional Realm.
Jinwoo used the Bubble Dimensions that formed the Wall of the Abyss to create an enormous barrier. Arsilan's location had been exposed now that it occupied the entire southern region of the Dimensional Realm, but he wasn't worried.
Arsilan now possessed the power not only to repel outside invasions, but to go even further and attack enemy territory.
‘The entire Dimensional Realm….’
He would fill it with the joy of gaming.
Ella opened the map of Arsilan and looked at the next place they were going to visit.
“Next is here.”
“Hmm…, this is taking quite a while.”
Ella and Helby were visiting every newly incorporated world together with Jinwoo. With more than five thousand of them, it took a considerable amount of time even when they kept moving without rest.
There was another reason it took so long.
“They're here!”
“O gods!”
When Jinwoo, Ella, and Helby descended, the Rild People cheered with tears of emotion streaming down their faces. Without revealing himself as the Creator God, Jinwoo visited in Leon's form.
The Rild People were short like dwarves, but unlike dwarves, they looked like children. Despite their appearance, however, they were an extremely long-lived race comparable to High Elves.
The Kalsus Dimensional Empire had conducted countless experiments on the Rild People in an attempt to obtain their longevity. The nature of those experiments had been unspeakably cruel. Arsilan was the one that had freed them from that suffering.
Their preparations for the welcome were astonishingly thorough. Flower petals colored the sky, and beautiful flowers had been arranged across the ground. They had even constructed temples for Ella and Helby.
“We greet the brilliant golden light, the eternal starlight, and the guardian of Arsilan.”
The leader of the Rild People approached respectfully and bowed. Ella accepted the greeting with a gentle smile, while Helby frowned slightly as she looked at the statues of herself and Ella erected in the temple.
“Why am I smaller?”
“Because you actually are smaller.”
Helby muttered under her breath.
When Jinwoo answered simply, Helby glared at him.
“…I may be a little smaller, but I've grown taller now. I'm not that short anymore.”
Helby seemed bothered by the fact that she was shorter than Ella, though she tried not to show it. The Rild People looked at Helby and flinched in surprise, then quickly rushed over to the statue and hoisted it up. They hurriedly placed a pedestal beneath its feet. That brought it close to her current height.
Beaming!
Only then did Helby's expression relax.
The interior of the temple was filled with traditional Rild cuisine. The moment Jinwoo saw it, his face turned deathly pale. He had already been treated to more food than he could handle while visiting so many worlds.
This was the reason their journey kept getting delayed.
Although they had received support from the Heroes, the Rild People were still far from prosperous. the Light of Arsilan had settled over their land, causing crops to grow quickly and more abundantly, but it was not yet harvest season.
Even under such circumstances, once they heard that Jinwoo, Ella, and Helby were coming in person, they had selected only their finest ingredients and prepared a lavish feast.
“Uh, um….”
Jinwoo had only come to briefly welcome them into Arsilan and explain the support they would receive. Once their circumstances improved, he planned to expand exchanges with them in earnest.
But every time he visited somewhere, he received this kind of welcome.
Jinwoo tried to refuse every time, but it was painfully obvious that they had spent day and night preparing everything. On top of that, they gazed at him with sparkling eyes, so he simply couldn't bring himself to do it.
“Hmm….”
“Ahem.”
Ella and Helby were in the same situation.
Even though all three of them were gods, eating thousands of meals over the course of a single week was no easy task. They couldn't use magic or divine authority to get around it either. They couldn't simply disregard the warmth and sincerity poured into the food.
“W-We apologize. We haven't prepared much…. Next time, we'll prepare something better.”
“No, not at all. Everything looks so delicious that I was stunned for a moment.”
“Really?”
When Jinwoo shook his head and answered, the Rild People broke into bright smiles.
Ella and Helby's eyes became those of generals preparing for battle. Jinwoo summoned his fighting spirit as though he were facing a higher existence of Erosion.
“Thank you for the meal.”
“I-It looks delicious!”
“Y-Yeah!”
There were still plenty of places left to visit.
Starting with Jinwoo, Ella and Helby entered the battle!
[Arsilan]Enjoy every last bite!
Eat and enjoy every dish that the Arsilanians prepared overnight using only their finest ingredients.
Do not disappoint them!
Keep eating!
Keep shoveling it in!
A god is one who shoulders suffering!
It felt as though a quest window like that had appeared before their eyes.
They all continued shoveling food into their mouths. It was delicious, but by this point, eating had become little more than steadily piling food into their stomachs.
Being gods, they digested food quickly, but the real problem was the sincerity infused into it. Every dish had been made with such heartfelt devotion that the light within it filled their souls and produced an immense sense of fullness.
‘W-We did it!’
‘…That wasn't easy.’
Ella and Helby took deep breaths and tried to quickly dispel their sense of fullness. When they finished every last dish that had been prepared, the Rild People were deeply moved and overjoyed. The gods had enjoyed the food they had prepared and had promised them prosperity! The news quickly spread throughout the world inhabited by the Rild People.
“Let's hurry and give them our blessing.”
“Mmm!”
They had finished eating, so now they had to give them their blessing and get out of there!
Ella and Helby urgently reached out their hands. Power poured forth from the Soul Sun and settled over the devastated lands of the Rild People. Grotesquely warped mountains and plains were restored, and extinct plants and animals returned.
The sight of particles of light descending and settling over the land was breathtakingly beautiful. The Rild People rejoiced, some praying while others danced.
‘I hope they can always live happily and joyfully from now on.’
Jinwoo bestowed his blessing with that wish in his heart.
The brilliant Soul Sun shone even more beautifully as it spread Jinwoo's wish throughout Arsilan.
He simply wanted everyone to have fun. He wanted to see parents and children enjoying the game together, living in harmony and dreaming of the future side by side. That was all he wanted to see. The world he had dreamed of for a hundred years was becoming reality, and that filled him with tremendous pride.
“Then….”
Just as Jinwoo was about to rise from his seat, the Rild People approached carrying several huge trays.
“We've brought dessert.”
The trays were piled high with all kinds of desserts. Ella and Helby, who had been about to stand along with Jinwoo, froze where they were.
“A-Are you perhaps busy? Did we do something unnecessary…?”
The Rild People's complexions rapidly darkened.
“…We're not busy.”
Jinwoo, who had already risen halfway from his chair, immediately sat back down.
Ella and Helby lowered their heads slightly and squeezed their eyes shut. When they raised their heads again, both wore expressions that made them look absolutely desperate to eat the desserts. Their acting skills were incredible!
In the end, they were only able to escape after finishing every last dessert as well.
“C-Can we take a short break…?”
When Ella spoke while clutching her stomach, Jinwoo returned to the Soul Sun.
The Soul Sun radiated such tremendous light and power that no being short of a transcendent existence could set foot upon it. Within it, the Heavenly Realm, the Underworld, and Hell had formed, along with numerous other facilities.
Tiris was in the process of constructing a massive Magic Tower inside, and the workshop had also been relocated there. From this place, they could observe and regulate every part of Arsilan.
A temple had also been built.
From here, they could hear the prayers of Arsilan and grant miracles in response. The temple had been designed with the concept of a lounge. That had been done at Ella's forceful insistence.
Ella and Helby collapsed onto the soft sofas. There were still many places left to visit, but they decided to rest for just a little while.
“Now I feel alive again.”
“That was exhausting.”
Ella and Helby went limp like slimes.
Jinwoo also sat down in a chair and let out a long breath. His head immediately drooped forward until it struck the table.
A brief silence followed.
Then Tia entered.
“There you are! Huh?”
Tia tilted her head when she saw the scene inside the temple. Jinwoo barely managed to raise his head and look at her.
“What is it?”
“I get so much writing done when I work here. But there's a huge pile of offerings stacked up over there. I thought I should tell you.”
“Offerings?”
“Yes.”
Jinwoo rose from his chair and headed deeper into the temple. In the vast interior chamber, he found an enormous mound of countless offerings.
They had been presented during ceremonies dedicated to the gods of Arsilan by more than five thousand worlds. Their types and forms were all different, but every single one was filled with gratitude.
To Jinwoo, those offerings were far more valuable than all the treasures they had swept up from the Kalsus Dimensional Empire. The light contained within the offerings was a delight to his eyes.
Ella and Helby approached from behind Jinwoo and also gazed at the sight with warm smiles.
They had only recently been completely liberated, and they were still far from prosperous, yet they had expressed their gratitude and sent offerings anyway.
Their hearts warmed!
“Nngh! Let's keep going!”
“…We've rested enough now.”
Ella massaged her cheeks with both hands and nodded, while Helby raised her mana and adjusted her condition.
“Then, shall we get going again?”
Happy food fighters!
Jinwoo, Ella, and Helby's journey continued!
***
The Heroes were just as busy as Jinwoo.
They could now interact with more than five thousand worlds without having to cross dimensional boundaries.
There was no need to use Dimension Gates either.
By using the Warp Engines acquired from the Kalsus Dimensional Empire and Hero's Flowers on trading ships, they could overcome the limitations of distance and travel directly to whichever world they wanted.
Of course, if they weren't carrying much cargo, they could simply travel there directly through a Hero's Flower. It was possible because these were no longer external dimensions. They had become part of Arsilan.
“This ship is headed for Erka! Merchants only need to pay a service fee!”
“Looking for people heading to Alot! It's insanely hot there, so wear something light!”
“LeonLove Merchant Guild is hiring for daily wages! Newbies are welcome too!”
The major cities of the Sillion Empire were packed with ships departing for all sorts of destinations. Even newbies who couldn't travel into the Dimensional Realm because of level restrictions boarded the ships with excited expressions.
Heroes and Arsilanians referred to the newly incorporated places as the “New World”. Since this enormous New World was all part of Arsilan, the planet that had previously been called Arsilan was now designated the Homeworld, or the Sillion Empire.
Arsilanians of various races who had come from different parts of the New World stayed in the Sillion Empire, creating an exotic and colorful landscape.
Specialties and resources poured in from countless New Worlds, along with staggering quantities of trade goods!
Arsilan's economy was booming!
Then, some bad news reached Arsilan, which until then had been overflowing with nothing but good news. And that bad news was sitting right in front of Jinwoo.
“I think I'll finally be able to start playing Arsilan Saga little by little.”
Jinwoo's older brother said that while they were having breakfast together at the mansion. His nephew had grown quite a bit, and thanks to the Soulmates, his brother now had more free time. Apparently, he and his wife had decided to take turns logging into Arsilan Saga.
And that afternoon, RomanticBard appeared in Alusion.
“G-Gah!”
“Oh my God!”
“E-Emergency!”
The Heroes and Arsilanians who spotted RomanticBard screamed with faces drained of color.
“Arsilan has changed a lot. I should work hard.”
Upon hearing RomanticBard's declaration, some of the Arsilanians actually fainted on the spot.
RomanticBard was a disaster.
But even that disaster was part of Arsilan.
We had to embrace him as one of our own.
It might be sad and difficult, but we still had to keep living, and we still had to go to work.
Jinwoo went to work at FS Games and attended a meeting.
‘Now….’
The time to unveil Episode 7 was drawing near!
