The Rule-Breaker of the Doomsday Game
Chapter 527: Doomsday Game, Death
Beyond the world, four enormous continents slammed into it with extreme violence.
In just an instant. The universe, already damaged and yet to recover from both the Spirit Master invasion and the ascension of the Celestial Dao, now had to face this. It simply couldn’t withstand the blow.
And so, the four continents squeezed their way directly into the universe.
Qi Suian’s gaze swept over them. These four continents each came from a different world, and their energy levels were so high that they had completely broken free from the Apocalypse Game’s control.
This meant that the Apocalypse Game had only used its technology for extracting survivors to forcibly pull these four continents in; it had no actual way to control them.
As the four continents were forced inside, the universe’s rules and parameters underwent a massive change, which even caused problems for Qi Suian’s blockade on the Apocalypse Game.
From the very beginning, the Apocalypse Game’s own strengths did not lie in combat, so it had never considered a direct confrontation with Qi Suian.
It only wanted to create a distraction, hoping to gain a chance to breathe and use that opportunity to escape.
These four continents it had dragged over were no ordinary landmasses, but the most powerful regions from four different worlds.
The Apocalypse Game had no way to control them. It could only forcibly tear them away and operate at overload to complete the process.
Therefore, these four continents were home to countless powerhouses.
Upon realizing they had entered a completely new world, they didn’t immediately set out to investigate. Instead, they began maintaining their own continents.
After all, these powerhouses weren’t blind. Even if they couldn’t see the full picture, they could tell that their continent wasn’t the only one pulled into this strange universe.
Qi Suian merely glanced at them before paying them no more mind.
“So, this is your grand move?” Qi Suian said, unhesitatingly pinning down the fleeing Apocalypse Game.
It had indeed used the opening created by the four continents violently colliding with the world to find a chance to escape.
But Qi Suian’s attention had been focused on the Apocalypse Game from start to finish; it had never wavered.
They were just four continents. In front of Qi Suian, even their strongest inhabitants could be dealt with in a single punch. There was no need to be concerned.
“No, this is only a part of it.”
“Four Symbols Seal!”
As the Apocalypse Game whispered, the four continents began to tremble violently.
Of course, it knew that the so-called great collision wouldn’t affect Qi Suian at all. After all, in Qi Suian’s eyes, this world was merely a meal waiting to be eaten.
Therefore, the time it could buy was naturally extremely limited.
The life force of the four continents began to be continuously extracted, transforming into the power of the Cyan Dragon, White Tiger, Vermilion Bird, and Black Tortoise—the Four Symbols—to form another terrifying seal.
“Universal technology, conversion technology… these two must be some of your core abilities as well.”
“Oh, right, and extraction technology,” Qi Suian added nonchalantly.
The Apocalypse Game’s situation was rather unique. Its control couldn’t extend to those powerhouses, but it could harness the inherent power of the four continents themselves after they were torn from their native worlds.
It was as if it had a special attack bonus against worlds, allowing it to inflict extra damage. This contradiction was evident in how it couldn’t control overly strong survivors, yet could hide perfectly within a world.
Its own mass was small, but its technology was highly advanced and precise. A direct, head-on confrontation was not its forte, but when it came to parasitic tactics and subtle schemes, it was like a fish in water.
“Speaking of which, since you’ve mastered technology related to cultivation and fantasy-style Extraordinary systems, what happened to the survivors before me? How were they all wiped out?”
“Given your capabilities, it would have been difficult for all the survivors to die unless there was a mole working from the inside.” As Qi Suian spoke, he directly shattered the head of the Cyan Dragon, one of the Four Symbols.
At the same time, the eastern continent instantly disintegrated into fragments and began to annihilate.
After striking, Qi Suian noticed a problem: the Apocalypse Game was truly devious.
It seemed a mark of hatred had been hidden on that continent. After Qi Suian destroyed it, the mark immediately tried to bore its way into him.
This was no ordinary mark; it came from a world itself.
Although Qi Suian intercepted it at the first possible moment, his identity as a world-type being was exposed.
This allowed the world where the eastern Cyan Dragon originated to instantly detect Qi Suian. It began to claw its way over, pressing against the edge of the universe and starting to shatter its way inside.
From the beginning, the Four Symbols Seal was just a delivery box. Its true purpose was to use the mark of hatred inside to expose Qi Suian’s identity.
Seeing this, a cold sneer appeared on Qi Suian’s face.
“In for a penny, in for a pound.”
“Did you really think this would make me hesitate?” As Qi Suian’s voice fell, he shattered the remaining three special nodes of the Four Symbols Seal—the White Tiger, the Vermilion Bird, and the Black Tortoise—one by one.
He caught the four marks of hatred in his hand and immediately crushed them.
Then, he ignored the four worlds, which had begun to turn on each other like amoebas.
‘As if worlds can actually coexist peacefully.’
However, their dark forest-style aggression wasn’t one-sided; it was a multi-front affair. In short, they all wanted a piece of everything.
Naturally, Qi Suian was also affected.
The Apocalypse Game took advantage of the chaos and naturally slipped out of Qi Suian’s grasp.
When it came to escaping, the entity was indeed slippery.
It was able to fully exploit any changes in its environment to scheme for its own benefit.
However, Qi Suian knew how to prioritize. Before it even had a chance to escape, he smashed it into smithereens with a single punch.
But it wasn’t dead yet. The fragments scattered in all directions. If even one piece could escape, it would have a sliver of a chance to survive.
A nice thought, but did it really think scattering would work on Qi Suian?
Qi Suian did, for the most part, simply punch his problems, but that didn’t mean punches were all he had.
He might not need to use them, but he couldn’t be without them.
The blockade tightened, and all the fragments were forced to rewind.
The dual application of space and time could create a localized time-reversal effect.
As for why he didn’t use it on the entire world, the reason was simple: the cost was too high. The scale of a localized area versus an entire world was different, so the cost incurred would naturally be different as well.
Qi Suian only needed to use enough power to achieve his goal; there was no need to waste excessive resources just to show off.
Moreover, he could control the specifics of this time reversal. For instance, the Apocalypse Game didn’t experience a complete rewind.
Its fragments merely returned to their original location, but they did not revert to their original form.
If it had undergone a complete rewind, it would have certainly been restored to its original state, rather than remaining as fragments.
After the fragments landed in Qi Suian’s hand, they began to squirm and fuse, reforming into the Apocalypse Game.
“You’re very strong. I’ve lost.”
“However, given the current situation, I suggest we cooperate.”
“Otherwise, with your strength, it’s impossible for you to leave this world alive.”
“What chance of success do you think you have, using a broken universe to fend off four high-energy worlds?”
“Especially now that you’ve lost my protection? You’re as conspicuous as a candle in the dark.” The Apocalypse Game’s voice was still mechanical, but now tinged with cunning.
It hadn’t been self-aware for very long, but the Apocalypse Game had experienced so many worlds that its foundation was simply too deep.
Even if it just rested on its laurels, it could still achieve explosive growth in a short amount of time.
“And then you’d abandon me halfway through, not only making a clean escape but also leaving me in a bind, right?” Qi Suian knew that for the Apocalypse Game to say this, it must be at its wit’s end.
Still, this was its final plan: to use Qi Suian’s life as leverage.
In its mind, after being exposed, he had no chance of surviving the siege of four worlds.
For Qi Suian, however, truly nothing was impossible.
The four worlds were indeed powerful, but the reach of their power was limited.
If Qi Suian were inside any one of those four worlds, he would absolutely have to avoid a direct confrontation and lie low.
But now, he was not inside any of their worlds. It was a classic case of the sword from a previous dynasty being unable to kill an official of the current one.
Especially since he had this universe to use as a weapon. The victor had yet to be decided.
Putting it simply, if he just put in some effort, he could devour his current Spirit Master Cosmos and then take a large bite out of each of the other four worlds. He would be the one coming out ahead.
In fact, if he managed to devour even one of them, Qi Suian was confident he could turn the remaining three into meals on his plate.
Compared to those four worlds, his disadvantages were too numerous to count, but his one advantage was also extremely clear.
He possessed self-awareness, which granted him immense flexibility.
If he determined he couldn’t win, he could make that judgment ahead of time and simply flee.
As for those four, they were already entangled with one another. They would be unable to stop until a winner was decided.
Unless some external force pulled them apart, their entanglement would never end until a single victor emerged.
“Alright, that’s enough. It’s time for you to die,” Qi Suian said.
Since he couldn’t solve the problem, Qi Suian decided to solve the one who created it: the Apocalypse Game.
As for the technology the entity possessed, Qi Suian had delayed this long and even allowed it to act because he already had a foolproof plan to acquire it.
‘Otherwise, if he went through all this trouble and ended up with nothing, what would have been the point?’
“Wait, I’m willing to hand over—” At this moment, the Apocalypse Game immediately lost its nerve.
Unfortunately, it was too late.
Trying to wipe the snot only after it’s dribbled into your mouth? Life isn’t that kind.
The Apocalypse Game didn’t even get to finish its sentence before it was annihilated, inch by inch. A massive amount of rules, data, and more drifted out from the point of annihilation and floated into Qi Suian’s hand.
It was as if it had been thrown into a juicer, every last drop of its residual value squeezed out, leaving not a single trace behind.
The Apocalypse Game… was dead!
