Chapter 176: Chapter 176: No Holding Back, Just Beat Them Up

Wu Cuicui accepted it. "Thank you, Xiao Rui."

Yang Minmin also smiled in thanks. "Thank you, Auntie Xiao Rui."

Han Xiaorui looked at the child in Wu Cuicui’s arms. The baby was small and frail, a truly pitiful sight.

’At least Pingping and An’an still have me, their mother. But what about this child? Its mother took the money and left, and its father ran off with some foreign girl.’

"You’re welcome. I still have to bring a ring to Granny Cai. When I’m not home, Sister Cai often helps me out with things in the village."

Wu Cuicui nodded. "Of course. I’ve been too busy to help you myself lately. But with Sister Cai around, I’m sure everything in the village will be handled perfectly."

Han Xiaorui was about to leave when she saw Yang Jianguo walk in with a dark expression, followed by a beaming Yang Jianming.

’What rotten luck!’

’It’s such a nice day, and I still managed to step in dog shit and run into a scumbag.’

Seeing Han Xiaorui, Yang Jianguo forced an expression that was uglier than a crying face. "Xiao Rui, I’m sorry about the past few days. I haven’t been at the ornamental fish farm."

Han Xiaorui waved a hand and smiled faintly. "We have the deputy manager, and it’s not like you were gone without reason. You couldn’t get away, I understand. I have to go now."

"Good. I don’t have to go to the hospital anymore starting tomorrow, so I can focus on working and running the ornamental fish farm properly." Yang Jianguo let out a sigh of relief; he’d been very worried Han Xiaorui would be angry.

Han Xiaorui pretended not to see Yang Jianming and walked straight forward.

"Xiao Rui, pretending you don’t see me? You still mad?" Yang Jianming sidled up to her with a shameless grin, his eyes full of admiration as he took in her stunning face and graceful figure.

Looking at Yang Jianming blocking her path just a step away, Han Xiaorui had no intention of wasting a single word on the presumptuous man. She slapped him straight across the face.

"Didn’t I tell you to act like you don’t know me when we meet? If you’re going to ignore what I say, don’t blame me for slapping you."

The slap snapped Yang Jianming’s head to the side. His face flushed red instantly, and he looked at her in disbelief. "You... you hit me? Han Xiaorui?"

’Yang Jianming was a man who defied all reason. He beat his wife, abandoned his child, and was unfilial to his parents. What was the difference between a man like that and an animal!’

If Yang Jianming hadn’t been so cocky right in front of her, Han Xiaorui would have been happy to ignore him.

But since Yang Jianming wanted to flaunt himself, Han Xiaorui had no intention of putting up with it.

Han Xiaorui snorted and rolled her eyes. "Good dogs don’t block the path! If you don’t get out of my way, I’ll do a lot more than just slap you."

It was the first time a woman had ever hit him so hard. His eyes filled with anger and disdain. ’The woman I dumped is acting this arrogant?’

"I’m not moving today," Yang Jianming said, standing his ground. He clenched his fists, ready to fight back without hesitation the moment Han Xiaorui tried to hit him.

But before Han Xiaorui could make a move, Yang Zhigang rushed in from outside. He took a few quick strides and landed a sharp side kick to Yang Jianming’s back, sending him sprawling to the ground.

"You utter disgrace! Who told you to come back? I told you before, I consider you no son of mine! Now, get the hell out!"

Han Xiaorui was stunned. ’I never expected my former father-in-law to be this incredible.’

She stepped to the side to watch the show.

’There’s nothing better than watching a scumbag get beaten up and meet a bad end.’

Yang Jianming was in too much pain to bother bickering with Han Xiaorui anymore. He grimaced and cried out, "Dad, no matter what you say, I’m still your son! Your only son!"

Yang Zhigang was so furious he exploded. "Fuck! I must have had eight generations of cursed luck to have a son like you! Your mother’s been out of the hospital for ages, and you haven’t even come back to see her."

"Your child was in the hospital fighting for their life, and you didn’t even come to see them! And you said all those despicable things back then. You’re not even human! Are you getting out or not? If you don’t get out, I’ll beat you some more!"

As he finished speaking, Yang Zhigang’s face was livid. He looked around for something to use as a weapon, spotted a large broom, and grabbed it, bringing it down hard on Yang Jianming.

"I must have been a villain for ten lifetimes to deserve a son like you in this one! You animal!"

Yang Jianming dodged frantically, shouting as he did, "Dad, Anna’s pregnant! I’m getting married! You’re going to be a grandpa! This time I’ll give you a mixed-race grandson!"

When Yang Zhigang heard this, he felt a wave of dizziness wash over him. ’This bastard is nothing but a stud, a breeding boar!’

’Having children and not raising them... A person like that is absolutely despicable.’

At first, when Yang Jianguo saw his younger cousin getting beaten by his Second Uncle, he thought about intervening. But as soon as he heard those words, he turned his head away in anger, pretending not to see a thing.

’That cousin of his deserved a beating!’

Wu Cuicui glanced at the baby in the crib inside, then back at the shamelessly excuse-making Yang Jianming. She stomped her foot in frustration and went back inside the house.

As Yang Jianming dodged Yang Zhigang’s relentless blows, he passed close to Han Xiaorui. She subtly stuck out her leg.

Yang Jianming was too busy dodging his father’s attacks to notice Han Xiaorui’s little trick.

Just like that, he was tripped and fell to the ground. Yang Zhigang had him.

Yang Zhigang tossed the broom aside and started pounding his good-for-nothing son with both fists.

"AAAHH... Dad, I was wrong! Stop hitting me! I was wrong!" Yang Jianming defaulted to his old ways—whenever he got beaten for doing something wrong, all he had to do was admit fault and it would be over.

He was great at admitting his mistakes, but he never learned his lesson.

Seeing Yang Zhigang’s blows growing more and more vicious, Yang Jianguo finally couldn’t stand by any longer. "Second Uncle, stop. Just let him go."

Yang Jianguo stepped in, holding Yang Zhigang back.

Yang Jianming looked at Yang Jianguo with gratitude in his eyes. "Brother, you’re the only one who’s good to me."

Yang Jianguo felt a surge of frustration. ’If he weren’t worried it would be bad for his Second Uncle’s health, he wouldn’t have stepped in either.’

Panting heavily, Yang Zhigang seemed to have aged several years in an instant. He sank onto a chair, his eyes filled with utter disappointment as he looked at Yang Jianming.

"Jianming, just go. I don’t want to see you again. Whether you strike it rich or who you marry, it has nothing to do with me anymore."

That utterly shameless Yang Jianming, even with his face swollen like a pig’s head from the beating, actually managed to laugh. "Dad, what are you saying? We’re father and son. Blood is thicker than water, you know."

"I’m about to get married, aren’t I? It’s an international marriage, so I need the village to issue a certificate. Dad, you can’t cause trouble for me right now. Once I’m married and the paperwork is done, I can go to the United States."

"Once I’m in the United States, Dad, I’ll bring you, my brother, and my sister-in-law over. We’ll all go breathe the free air of the United States!"

Yang Zhigang, who had just started to calm down, trembled with rage upon hearing his unfilial son’s words. He didn’t reach for the broom this time. Instead, he whipped the leather belt from his waist and lashed it across Yang Jianming’s body. WHACK! WHACK! WHACK!

Yang Jianming leaped about, howling in pain from the blows. Finally, unable to take it anymore, he scrambled onto the chicken coop, climbed over the wall, and fled.

If Yang Jianguo hadn’t been holding him back, Yang Zhigang would have likely climbed the wall to chase after him. Instead, he looked up at the sky, speechless, and roared with all his might, "What sin did I commit to bring such a creature into this world!"

Han Xiaorui felt a great deal of sympathy for Yang Zhigang. ’Such a good man, to have a son like that... It’s truly tragic!’

Seeing this, Yang Jianguo quickly went to comfort him. "Second Uncle, calm down. The doctor told you to remain calm and not get agitated, or your blood pressure won’t be able to take it."
