The Shadow Wolf's Second Life: They Bullied The Wrong Omega

Chapter 94: And I’m the Alpha Of Your Fucking Pack!

"Is this about that favor I owe you, President Raven?" I asked, looking him dead in the eye.

?My mind briefly flicked back to the day in the ruined shed—to the groaning, feverish wolf who had begged me not to let anyone know he was an Alpha, and to Damian taking my hands and making me owe him an open-ended debt just to save that wolf’s life.

?"A favor?" Damian echoed smoothly, his deep voice carrying a quiet resonance in the steam-filled chamber.

He paused, uncurling his fingers from my shoulder with surgical control as he regained his immaculate composure. "So you haven’t forgotten."

?"I don’t forget debts," I replied coolly, lowering the card to my side. "Did you take care of things back then? The Alpha who was in a rut... did he get treatment? Is he alright?"

?"Everything was handled. And at that Alpha’s request," Damian answered evenly, adjusting the cuff of his sleeve. "I am not obligated to disclose the details of his medical record, but rest assured, the protocol was executed. And yes, your favor remains entirely valid... though I certainly wasn’t thinking of that when I pulled you in here."

?"Then why did you pull me in here?" I asked, leaning slightly back against the glass. "Why are you blocking my way? Are you just trying to act the bully?"

?"I do not act on petty whims," Damian said smoothly, his red eyes fixing on mine. "I stepped into this chamber because I sensed an unauthorized presence in an S-Class facility. I was using the pod just as any other person with an access card would. I simply didn’t expect you, of all people, to be here."

?I let out a sharp, amused scoff, crossing my arms over the towel tightly wrapped around my chest.

?"Me, of all people?" I echoed, tilting my head with a cold smirk. "Right. Because I’m an Omega. That’s why you automatically assumed I couldn’t possibly have legitimate access. Even you, the immaculate President of the Disciplinary Committee, turn out to be completely biased."

?Damian froze.

?For the first time since I had met him, a genuine flicker of shock crossed his sharp features.

Biased.

Damian was the kind of heir that had spent his entire life operating on absolute law, strict rules, and unyielding neutrality. No one had ever accused him of prejudice—yet the words he had just spoken echoed back at him with an undeniably hypocritical ring.

?His dark brows drew together slightly, his jaw clenching as he absorbed the strike to his flawless reputation.

?"I am not biased," Damian stated quietly, though there was a rare, microscopic strain beneath his usual tranquil tone.

And I’m the Alpha of your fucking pack!

?"If you say so, President," I murmured, my voice dripping with subtle sarcasm as I slowly pushed his hands off my shoulders. "Now, if you’re done interrogating an authorized guest who walked in with an access card, step aside. My pod is waiting, and unlike you, I don’t have all day to waste standing around in a towel."

?Damian stared down at me for three long seconds, his red eyes burning with an intense, analytical curiosity. Slowly, he stepped back, giving me a clear path to the controls.

?"Enjoy your session, Brianna Wells," Damian said softly, his voice dropping into a low, lingering tone as he tapped the wall sensor to open the door. "We will settle your favor when the time is right."

He said and I saw that as my cue to make a run for it. The moment he stepped back, I tried to hold, but my bare foot lost traction on the slick, steam-drenched marble floor.

Why in the world is this happening to me?!!!! I’m a master of balance, the queen of stealth and shadows... Why do I keep falling?

?My foot shot out from under me, and with a sharp gasp, gravity yanked me downward. But I wasn’t going down alone. Instinct slammed in and my hands reached out to grab onto anything solid to break my fall.

And the only solid matter around me at the moment was a hot, terrifying, solid piece of flesh of an Alpha.

?I collided hard against Damian’s broad chest and the momentum carried us both down.

?"Woah—!"

Damian’s high-level reflexes kicked in a second too late to stop the drop, but instead of letting me smash into the hard tile, his arms instinctively wrapped around my waist, twisting us in mid-air so his back took the brunt of the impact.

?THUD!

?The breath burst out of his lungs with a heavy grunt as we hit the floor.

?When the steam cleared, I found myself straddling his waist, my hands pinned against his bare, hard chest for balance. The white towel was still miraculously tucked tight above my chest, but the stark, undeniable reality of what was—and wasn’t—underneath hit me in a wave of sudden, suffocating heat.

?I was completely bare underneath that single piece of cloth, pressed directly against the heat-radiating body of the Disciplinary President, my bare knees framing his hips on the wet marble.

Damian lay flat on his back, his chest rising and falling heavily beneath my palms as I remained straddling his waist. His hands rested firmly on my hips where he had caught me, his rough fingers digging into the bare skin just above the towel’s edge.

?Neither of us moved. Neither of us breathed.

?The chamber was deathly quiet, save for the rhythmic hiss of the steam vents and the sudden, violent ba-dum... ba-dum... of my heart hammering against my ribs.

?Damian’s crimson gaze flicked down to my lips, then slowly traced up to my eyes. His grip on my hips tightened, his knuckles turning pale as the sheer, raw proximity burned away every last drop of his legendary restraint.

?"Brianna Wells..." Damian rasped, his voice dropping into a low, gravelly frequency that vibrated straight through his chest and directly into my palms.

?"The floor," I whispered, my voice surprisingly steady despite the sudden spike in my pulse, "the floor was slippery."

?A slow, dangerous ember flared deep within his red eyes. Slowly, methodically, his thumb slid up from my hip, brushing lightly against the bare skin of my waist just millimeters below the towel’s knot.

?"You’re not getting away with ’the floor was slippery’ after doing this, little Omega," Damian murmured, his breath scorching against my neck as he subtly shifted beneath me, trapping me even tighter in his space. "Falling right into my lap... with completely nothing underneath."

?I flinched.

?"Do you know what my wolf is asking me to do right now?" he growled softly.
