Chapter 1003 - 1103: Da Ben Has Been Abducted

This latter half of the sentence was directed at Da Ben!

Upon hearing this, Da Ben nodded and then said to Ma Yuanyuan, "Alright, I'll wait for you my whole life, I'll marry no one but you!"

Ye Tianfan looked at the two of them somewhat bewildered. What was going on, how had they decided on a lifetime commitment so quickly? It was too fast, wasn't it? It seemed like they met today for the first time, and after just one meeting, they were promising their lives to each other. Was he already falling behind the times; was quick marriage the trend now?

In any case, Ye Tianfan was a bit puzzled, never imagining that a lifelong commitment could be settled so quickly!

Just as Ye Tianfan was preparing to flee with Da Ben, the creature from the cave zoomed over at an unimaginable speed. Before Ye Tianfan could react, the demon beast had already abducted Da Ben.

Ye Tianfan could even see the disdainful look in the beast's eyes, as if saying, "I took him right in front of you, what can you do about it?"

"What the hell, what happened? How did it just take Da Ben away like that?" Ye Tianfan had so many words of frustration!

If that demon beast had attacked them directly, it would have made sense since they had intruded upon its territory. But taking someone without a word was too much, especially with the scornful stare after abducting Da Ben, it was intolerable for Ye Tianfan!

After his initial anger, Ye Tianfan calmed down and thought carefully about the appearance of the demon beast. It seemed to resemble a horse, yet Ye Tianfan wasn't entirely sure.

But thinking was of no use, Ye Tianfan's only focus now was to rescue Da Ben and prevent the demon beast from eating him. Otherwise, if Ma Yuanyuan did discover a way to cultivate demons and came to the Taichu Sect looking for him, only for him to reveal Da Ben had been eaten, she might very well kill him. Not that she definitely could succeed, but you never know what a mad woman might do!

With no other option, Ye Tianfan ventured deeper into the cave!

He hadn't gone far when he heard a beastly roar.

Ye Tianfan hurried in the direction of the sound and soon saw a light ahead; upon arrival, he discovered the demon beast that had kidnapped Da Ben resting there while Da Ben lay unconscious nearby.

Could it be that the demon beast had captured Da Ben as food but wasn't hungry yet, leaving him there until it was?

However, thanks to the light, Ye Tianfan clearly saw the demon beast: it had the head of a horse with a leopard's body, sporting a coat of leopard spots and hooved feet, looking quite majestic. Yet, upon closer inspection, although it had a horse's head, its snout full of fangs made it clear it had nothing to do with horses — those fangs signified it was carnivorous!

Seeing such an image, Ye Tianfan abruptly recalled the demon beast's name!

"Leopard Horse King, so it's the Leopard Horse King." Ye Tianfan said knowingly!

Then he puzzled over why the Leopard Horse King, which should logically live in the jungle, was in a cave. Had there been some change?

Also, what was its purpose in abducting Da Ben? If it was for eating, Da Ben would have been long gone by now, yet it hadn't eaten him, simply casting him aside, leaving Ye Tianfan bewildered as to what the Leopard Horse King was planning.

Unable to fathom what the Leopard Horse King wanted, Ye Tianfan dismissed further thought. If the Leopard Horse King truly intended them harm, he couldn't have reacted to it, and they would have been severely injured, if not dead, already!

Nonetheless, Ye Tianfan dared not rashly approach the Leopard Horse King. While the creature hadn't shown any ill intent, if he did get close, he might provoke an attack; facing the Leopard Horse King's speed, he wouldn't stand a chance!

It seemed the Leopard Horse King realized Ye Tianfan had found him, as it opened its eyes, stood up, and looked toward Ye Tianfan's direction!

Knowing he had been discovered, Ye Tianfan stepped forward and addressed the Leopard Horse King, "May I ask if there's something wrong? If we accidentally intruded into your domain, we apologize and will leave immediately, there's no intention to offend, it was an unintentional entry into your territory!"

Ye Tianfan first apologized to the Leopard Horse King because he had indeed trespassed, and he wasn't one to hold grudges. Having erred, he wanted to see if things could resolve peacefully first. If not, force would be the last resort, as Ye Tianfan wasn't one to be easily intimidated!

The Leopard Horse King snorted several times upon hearing Ye Tianfan's words, then moved its body, giving a few shakes toward him!

Ye Tianfan frowned deeply at the Leopard Horse King, not out of any particular thought, but because he couldn't understand the gesture. What was the intent behind those shakes?
