The Strongest Talent Tree

Chapter 109 - 106: Condensing Power

Chapter 109: Chapter 106: Condensing Power

The Female Archer Feng Hao had kicked away scrambled to her feet, covered in dirt. She was about to curse him out but was stunned speechless by the terrifying damage Feng Hao had dealt.

Seeing the Three-eyed Giant Beast still struggling on the verge of death, the Female Archer didn’t dare get distracted. As Feng Hao was thrown off, she took aim at the third eye on the beast’s forehead and loosed an arrow.

The frantically thrashing Three-eyed Giant Beast froze instantly, then collapsed limply to the ground. After a few twitches, it was dead.

Although Feng Hao tried his best to regain his balance as he was flung away, he still ended up eating dirt. When he got up, ready for revenge, he found the Female Archer had already finished off the Three-eyed Giant Beast.

Just then, the other two male Mages finally arrived. They all sighed in relief after confirming the Female Archer was unharmed.

The Female Archer gradually calmed down and looked up at Feng Hao. Endless fury surged across her dirty but delicate face. Remembering the kick from before, her entire expression began to contort!

The Female Archer was about to let loose a few curses, but Feng Hao cut her off.

Feng Hao had already eagerly sat cross-legged on the Three-eyed Giant Beast’s body and begun absorbing its vital essence. Then, with a punchable-looking expression, he said, "The vital essence is mine, the Essence Soul is yours."

"You..." The Female Archer nearly fainted from anger. She pointed furiously at Feng Hao, unable to speak.

The Sword Magic Master at her side hurriedly stepped forward to placate her. "Miss, calm down. This kid is bad news. Besides, the vital essence is useless to us anyway. If he wants it, just let him have it."

"Hmph, if I’d known, I would have brought a High-level Mage!" the Female Archer said, looking aggrieved.

The Sword Magic Master didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. "Miss, wasn’t it you who didn’t want to be too high-profile, so you dragged us along instead?"

"What did you say? Say that again if you dare!" The Female Archer’s beautiful eyes glared.

"Alright, whatever you say is right." The Sword Magic Master shook his head helplessly and turned to help heal the more heavily injured Martial Arts Mage.

The Female Archer grumbled in dissatisfaction, her gaze falling back on Feng Hao. She raised her bow and aimed it left and right at him, but just couldn’t muster the courage to release the arrow. It couldn’t be helped; the damage Feng Hao had dealt earlier was just too frightening.

Feng Hao naturally noticed the Female Archer’s actions. He sneered inwardly but paid her no mind, focusing on absorbing the Three-eyed Giant Beast’s vital essence.

As an Eight-star Spirit Beast, the Three-eyed Giant Beast’s vital essence was incredibly rich. Adding it to the vital essence he had absorbed before, he quickly reached a state of saturation.

The moment his vital essence reached saturation, the golden mist surrounding his Genetic Tree instantly contracted and condensed, forming strange golden patterns on the tree’s trunk. He felt nothing out of the ordinary, as if these golden patterns had always been a part of the Genetic Tree.

’The Wuji Power has finished condensing. The next goal is to hunt for Essence Souls.’

Opening his eyes, a faint smile played on Feng Hao’s lips. He stood up and looked toward the three-person team, discovering the Female Archer holding a piece of black leather armor and performing a Refined Essence. The Sword Magic Master and the Martial Arts Mage, whose injuries had improved, were acting as her Guardians.

Seeing Feng Hao wake up, the Sword Magic Master’s brow twitched. He asked in a deep voice, "May I ask which Star Realm you hail from?"

"The Ancient Cang Realm. And you?" Feng Hao retorted with a slight pout, asking a question of his own.

"So you’re a friend from the Ancient Cang Realm." The Sword Magic Master broke into a smile, his expression overly friendly as he said, "We’re from the Third Ring Star Realm. It’s not too far away, relatively speaking."

Feng Hao was speechless.

’Damn it,’ he thought. ’The Third Ring to the Fifth Ring is two whole Ring Star Realms apart, and you’re telling me it’s not far? That’s not how you try to get friendly with someone.’

The Sword Magic Master said awkwardly, "Ahem, I don’t believe we’ve gotten your name?"

"Feng Hao." Feng Hao didn’t hide it. As he spoke, he glanced at the Female Archer and asked, "Are you two her subordinates?"

"Something like that. In any case, we’re here to protect her," the Sword Magic Master said ambiguously.

Just then, the Female Archer finished her Refined Essence and interjected irritably, "You have the nerve to say that? It took so much effort just to kill an Eight-star Three-eyed Giant Beast. What use are you?"

"We brothers aren’t good at fighting to begin with. You’re the one who insisted on dragging us here," the Martial Arts Mage muttered with a pout.

Hearing this, the Female Archer flared up. "Go stand over there! Just looking at you pisses me off!"

The two poor brothers could only retreat to the side, looking dejected.

After the two walked away, the Female Archer gritted her teeth and looked at Feng Hao. "You’re Feng Hao, right? What was that kick all about earlier?"

"You were in the way," Feng Hao said, his gaze playful.

"You bastard! How was I in the way?" the Female Archer shrieked hysterically.

Feng Hao gave a slight smile and changed the subject. "Why don’t we talk about how you found me instead?"

"Hmph!" At this, the Female Archer couldn’t help but look a little smug. "My bloodline talent allows me to perceive any disturbances in the area."

"So it was a bloodline talent, huh?" Feng Hao nodded in understanding. ’Can’t blame her for finding me if it’s a bloodline talent,’ he thought. "Then why did you lure the Three-eyed Giant Beast over to me?"

"Duh! You think I was going to let you just sit there and reap all the rewards?" the Female Archer sneered.

Feng Hao was annoyed. He declared righteously, "I, Feng Hao, have always acted openly and honorably. How could I do something so despicable?"

As he said the last part, even Feng Hao himself blushed a little. But it couldn’t be helped; he had to keep up the act.

"Who would believe that?" The Female Archer scoffed, then asked coldly, "By the way, we still haven’t settled the score for you kicking me!"

"Then how do you want to settle it?" Feng Hao asked with a smile.

"Hmm... your strength seems decent. How about this: you join us for now and just help me hunt a suitable Essence Soul," the Female Archer said, furrowing her brow in thought.

"Fine." Feng Hao readily agreed. ’Their strength is nothing special, but having company is better than being alone,’ he thought.

The Female Archer was rather surprised that Feng Hao agreed so easily. Even the two brothers on the side were stunned.

"You don’t have some ulterior motive, do you?" the Female Archer asked suspiciously.

Feng Hao rolled his eyes and said irritably, "Alright then, give me 100 Level 2 Magic Crystals for every Spirit Beast we kill. Is that good enough for you?"

"Deal." The Female Archer nodded in satisfaction, and the two brothers beside her also looked relieved.

Feng Hao stared at the three of them, completely dumbfounded. He felt like his intelligence was being insulted. ’Damn it, they don’t want a free bodyguard; they have to spend money to feel at ease. I really can’t tell if they’re just loaded or if their IQs are just that touching.’

And so, Feng Hao joined this team with its... touching average IQ. After spending a short time with them, he came to understand the three a little better.

The Female Archer’s name was Qing Ning, the daughter of some financial magnate from a star system in the Third Ring Star Realm. The Sword Magic Master was named Shi Daniu, and the Martial Arts Mage was Shi Erniu. The two were biological brothers, and their father was the personal Artifact Refiner for Qing Ning’s family. As a result, the three of them were basically childhood friends who grew up together.

The Shi Brothers had followed in their father’s footsteps, both becoming Artifact Refiners, but their combat talent was mediocre at best.

As for why a young lady like Qing Ning would bring two Artifact Refiners as bodyguards, it was mainly because she was too proud and arrogant to think she needed protection. However, she was afraid of being bored all by herself, so she dragged the Shi Brothers along.
