Chapter 118 Burning Them All
Chapter 118: 118 Burning Them All
118 Burning Them All
He tried to crush her, but Lyssara concentrated profound spiritual energy into her own arm, causing the muscles of both of them to tremble under the repulsion of their energy.
Then she spun and used the strength of her own opponent. The next second, Draven was thrown against the ground.
Before he could get up, Lyssara descended with her sword, piercing through his chest. The Lizardman became motionless.
Lyssara pulled the blade out after twisting it several times inside him, making sure that Draven was dead.
Everyone was able to feel the general’s profound spiritual energy disappear from the battlefield, and then a roar arose among the troops.
"Draven has fallen!"
"The General is dead!"
The words spread across the battlefield. Seryn heard them, a frown appearing on her face as she quickly glanced toward the corpse.
It was only a fraction of a second that her eyes left her opponent, but it was enough for Thesira to find an opening and take advantage of the opportunity.
The sword advanced. Seryn tried to block as soon as she sensed the sword approaching, but she was a fraction of a second too slow. The blade pierced through her spiritual defense and cut deeply into her shoulder.
Seryn retreated. Thesira advanced again. Seryn attacked with both claws.
The sword deflected the first claw’s trajectory again. The second passed through Thesira’s arm this time, causing a cut on the Medusa. Blood flowed from the wound.
Thesira did not stop. She took advantage of the exact moment to counterattack. Her eyes glowed, and faced with the unexpected attack, Seryn was unable to dodge. Two green beams struck her body.
Her legs began to harden.
That was when Seryn roared like an enraged beast. Her profound spiritual energy exploded violently, and for a moment, the petrification was partially interrupted.
But Thesira was already standing before her.
The sword pierced through her abdomen.
Seryn could do nothing more than stare in shock at the blade that had pierced through her.
Thesira pulled out her sword, and Seryn fell to her knees.
"I..."
Black blood came out of her mouth as she realized that she had been poisoned.
"No..."
Her body fell lifelessly to the ground.
Two of the three tenth-level generals on that front had fallen, Seryn and Draven. Only Shaara remained. She was coordinating the troops and destroying the mountain formations one by one, allowing the army to advance.
The commander retreated several steps after destroying almost all the defensive formations in front of her. She then raised her weapon and gave new orders to the army.
"All of you!"
Her voice crossed the battlefield.
"Kill the Medusas!"
The enemy troops advanced again. The deaths of the two generals did not end the battle. They only changed its pace.
At this point in the battle, the Medusas were being killed rapidly. The defensive formations had fallen, and little more than four hundred Medusas remained in that sector, fighting to maintain the defensive line.
Beastmen advanced in groups, while the Lizardmen kept their shields together, forming mobile walls that resisted the Medusas’ arrows.
The Medusa archers fired poisoned arrows from the slopes. Hundreds of them crossed the sky.
A Beastman raised his shield, but the arrow pierced through the protection and entered his neck.
The battle continued fiercely, with corpses piling up. With only four hundred Medusas against thousands of enemies, even so, none of them retreated.

Western Battlefield
***
In the west, the situation was completely different.
There was no longer a defensive line.
The position had been destroyed.
The ground was burning.
Trees had been reduced to ashes.
The defensive formations were destroyed, while bodies of different races covered the ground.
Medusas.
Beastmen.
Lizardmen.
All dead.
At the center of that hell, Mirevra was still standing.
Her body was covered in wounds. One hand pressed against a deep cut in her abdomen, while her sword remained firmly held in the other.
Behind her, only a few dozen warriors remained.
Mirevra looked at them.
"Stay behind me."
One of the warriors was crying.
She looked around at the flames consuming her companions and friends. She knew there would be no salvation.
Her death was approaching.
"Elder..."
Mirevra did not turn around.
"Don’t look back. Focus on staying alive. Don’t entertain unnecessary thoughts."
The flames grew higher, and then a powerful presence emerged from the smoke.
Then another.
And another.
Six figures advanced at the same time, as if they were marching.
They were Fire Elementals.
Their bodies had humanoid proportions, but their skin was red and looked like heated metal, while flames covered their hair, shoulders, and arms.
The six had distinct appearances.
Among them, a huge man walked at the front, his muscular body covered with small dark metallic plates, while flames concentrated around his shoulders.
Beside him was a tall woman whose hair was formed from long flames.
Another man was thinner and had markings resembling glowing cracks spread across his chest.
The second woman in the group had a slender body, with beautiful blue-red flames surrounding her arms.
The last two were men with more robust builds.
One had hardened plates of fire covering part of his body.
The other seemed to be constantly surrounded by a layer of heat that caused the stones to crack beneath his feet.
They advanced.
Mirevra raised her sword.
"Damn Fire Elementals! You are nothing but treacherous and arrogant bastards. If you think I’m going to surrender, think again..."
One of the men smiled.
"You should have understood by now that this position is finished. I generously offered you the chance to surrender, but unfortunately for you, your time is up."
Mirevra replied:
"As long as I am alive, nothing is over. I will not rest until I take at least one of you to the grave with me."
Her spiritual energy exploded from her body as she moved so quickly that she disappeared from everyone’s sight.
Her sword struck the first Elemental, who anticipated the Elder’s movement and blocked her surprise attack.
The explosion sent both of them flying in opposite directions.
Mirevra spun in midair, and her leg struck a huge rock.
She used the impact to change her trajectory and immediately returned.
Her sword struck again, and just like the last time, the Elemental blocked it with his arm.
His red skin began to glow.
