Chapter 2559: Alliance Army Hierarch

Chapter 2559: Chapter 2559: Alliance Army Hierarch

The simultaneous appearance of three black-clothed Killing Stars caused a chill in the hearts of the giants of the Heavenly Domain present.

It is rumored that the black-clothed Killing Stars of the Yama Palace were personally trained by the Immortal Emperor who founded the Yama Palace. The methods they possess are unfathomable.

Yu Hentian, accompanied by three black-clothed Killing Stars, slowly walked to the upper position of the Great Hall. The three black-clothed Killing Stars did not take seats but stood in the shadows behind Yu Hentian’s chair. The Killing Stars did not deliberately reveal their killing intent, yet everyone in the Great Hall felt the air grow stagnant.

"Fellow Daoists!" Yu Hentian did not immediately sit in the chief seat; instead, he looked around the hall and spoke with cupped fists.

"Yu Palace Master!" The giants present also stood up and returned the gesture with cupped fists.

"Please be seated!" Yu Hentian raised his hand, motioning for them to sit.

Dozens of giant figures resumed their seats after Yu Hentian sat down.

"Fellow Daoists are gathered here at my Yama Palace today, giving me, Yu Hentian, face. I, Yu Hentian, am very grateful." Yu Hentian’s voice was low but carried a penetrating force that demanded full attention.

"I won’t say much pointless talk. You all knew our purpose here before coming to my Yama Palace, and you know the target we intend to deal with."

"The enemy we intend to eradicate has grown very strong, so strong that none of our forces alone can assure his elimination. Our enemy has truly become influential." Murderous intent radiated in Yu Hentian’s eyes.

Since Jing Yan killed four red-clothed Killing Stars in Hongmeng City, Yama Palace has listed Jing Yan as a must-kill target. Later, Jing Yan was revealed to have a deep connection with the Thunder Domain, even able to wield Thunder Origin Immortal Skill. Yama Palace became even more determined to eliminate Jing Yan, not only to destroy him but to eradicate Hongmeng City, just like how they once destroyed Thunder City’s Thunder Domain.

"Everyone here knows whom I’m referring to as the enemy! If this enemy is not eliminated, none of us will live in peace!" Yu Hentian once again surveyed the hall, speaking loudly.

"Yu Palace Master, almost all our forces represented here have grievances with that Hongmeng City. Otherwise, we wouldn’t travel across the Heavenly Domain to gather here. So if Yu Palace Master has any plans or arrangements, please just lay them out." Sima Tianyang of the Sima Family spoke up.

Sima Tianyang had more confidence than the leaders of ordinary superpowers because the Sima Family’s Ancestor was still around and could return from the Chaotic Primordial Space at any moment. Comparing to entities like the Eight Gods Pill Sect’s Mingze Sect Master, who had no Immortal Emperor backing, or rather, had no direct relations with an Immortal Emperor.

"Sima Family Master, before we take action, there’s a small issue that needs resolving."

"None of those present are ordinary people, and some, like Sima Family Master, Mingze Sect Master, and President Jiang Yue, stand at the pinnacle of the Heavenly Domain, wielding tremendous power. Without clear discussion, I, Yu Hentian, dare not rashly command." Yu Hentian glanced at Sima Tianyang as he spoke.

As Yu Hentian’s words reached this point, the giants present already understood. These individuals, each a leader of a great power, needed no further explanation to grasp the meaning.

"Our enemy is strong, and Jing Yan’s power is extraordinarily peculiar. To eliminate this foe, we must unite for a direct, overwhelming assault. Among the various forces, Yama Palace’s combat power should be the strongest. I propose, even for Sima Family’s Sima Family Master, in the lethality against cultivators, the Sima Family slightly falls short of Yama Palace. Moreover, it was Yama Palace who initiated this gathering, so I believe Yu Hentian Palace Master should be appointed as the Alliance Hierarch of our coalition." Mingze Sect Master of the Eight Gods Pill Sect stood up and spoke slowly.

Among the superpowers, the Eight Gods Pill Sect’s direct combat prowess was relatively weaker. Mingze Sect Master used this moment to endorse Yu Hentian, thus currying favor.

After Mingze Sect Master finished speaking, Yu Hentian’s expression showed no change, but a faint hint of joy glimmered in his eyes.

"I also believe Yu Hentian Palace Master is most suitable to lead as the Alliance Hierarch." Following Mingze Sect Master’s opinion, Diao Rong Heavenly Lord also stood up and spoke.

Diao Rong Heavenly Lord was rather arrogant; under normal circumstances, he wouldn’t easily submit to others’ control. However, now he found himself lacking confidence. He used to have the Immortal Venerable Tower, but now even that tower had been taken by Jing Yan and given to Ru Yueyi to manage.

"Diao Rong Heavenly Lord, why are you here? Shouldn’t you be managing the Immortal Venerable Tower?" A voice suddenly spoke out.

The speaker was Zhang Jianjun, Sect Master of Moon Frost Sect from the Extreme North. Zhang Jianjun gave Diao Rong Heavenly Lord a glance and casually remarked.

It seemed like an offhand comment, but to Diao Rong Heavenly Lord, it felt like a sudden slap, instantly turning his face black as coal. It was a scar in his heart, one he would never forget—being beaten to his knees by Jing Yan. He longed to tear Jing Yan into pieces, grind his bones to dust. However, he knew he couldn’t defeat Jing Yan alone, so he sought stronger allies to personally witness the moment when that brat Jing Yan was killed.

"Sect Master Zhang, what do you mean by that?" Diao Rong Heavenly Lord suppressed his rising fury upon realizing Zhang Jianjun was the one speaking and questioned with a stern face.

"What’s the matter? Wasn’t the Immortal Venerable Tower always under your charge? Oh, right, two millennia ago I heard something—seemed like someone named Jing Yan snatched the Immortal Venerable Tower from your control. I thought it was false news back then, but now it seems to be true." Zhang Jianjun sincerely explained.

As a leader of a superpower, although the Extreme North is far away, if the change in the Immortal Venerable Tower’s management was uncertain, no one would believe it.

"You..." Diao Rong Heavenly Lord was infuriated but dared not lash out. Not considering Moon Frost Sect’s power, even Zhang Jianjun’s personal strength was not beneath Diao Rong’s.

"Gentlemen, we are not here to quarrel!" Yu Hentian’s face was also dark.

He looked at Zhang Jianjun and asked, "Sect Master Zhang, are you interested in the position of Alliance Hierarch?" Yu Hentian directly questioned Zhang Jianjun face to face.

Earlier, Diao Rong Heavenly Lord had supported Yu Hentian’s appointment as Hierarch, naturally earning his favor. But Zhang Jianjun had ridiculed Diao Rong Heavenly Lord, which made Yu Hentian inclined to side slightly with Diao Rong Heavenly Lord.

"Yu Palace Master, please don’t misunderstand. Our Moon Frost Sect’s only goal this time is to fully support you, Yu Hentian Palace Master." Zhang Jianjun replied calmly.
