Chapter 2565: Chapter 2565: Breaking the Code

The entire Kunling Heaven is in a state of anxious unrest.

At this moment, no one knows what the outcome of this great battle will be.

However, within the Thunder Domain, the situation remains relatively stable. Hongmeng City has a strong hold over the Thunder Domain, and the city’s guards are working hard to maintain order. Those forces with assets or stronger cultivators also don’t wish for chaos to affect them, so they too actively cooperate with the City Lord Mansion.

Nonetheless, the unrest among the people is unavoidable.

Sky-breaking Plate, Space-Time Corridor.

With the aid of the Gravity Domain, Jing Yan finally found the node, the place where the Space-Time Corridor ends and transitions. After spending some time, Jing Yan discovered the Dao Rhythm Law. The Law containing the Supreme Daoist has become clear. The fog shrouding Jing Yan’s eyes seems to have gradually lifted.

Jing Yan began to diligently comprehend it.

The complex Dao Rules taxed Jing Yan’s Divine Soul to its full capacity, yet Jing Yan seemed impervious to it. Fortunately, his Divine Soul Body was strong enough, comparable to an Immortal Emperor.

After almost half a month’s time.

Within the Space-Time Corridor, the Dao Skill transformed. Jing Yan regained consciousness.

When he once again saw Grandmaster Lan Zan sitting not far in front of him, it felt like a lifetime had passed.

Grandmaster Lan Zan of the Tianbei Sect still had a look of surprise in his eyes.

He initially thought Jing Yan could not decipher the mysteries of the Sky-breaking Plate.

He had possessed the Sky-breaking Plate for over ten thousand years, having researched its mysteries multiple times but without any success. Yet City Lord Jing Yan managed to unravel the mysteries in just over seven months.

"The attention from the lords of the Chaotic Primordial Space on him is indeed justified," Grandmaster Lan Zan thought with a sigh.

"Lan Zan Sect Master, how much time has passed?" Jing Yan’s first question was about how much time he had spent within the Sky-breaking Plate.

"City Lord Jing Yan, do not worry. There is time, there is time!" Lan Zan smiled.

"That’s good." Hearing Lan Zan’s reassurance, Jing Yan finally breathed a sigh of relief.

"Sect Master, now that I have deciphered the mysteries of the Sky-breaking Plate, as per our previous agreement, the Tianbei Sect should fully support Hongmeng City," Jing Yan said, looking at Lan Zan.

"Rest assured, City Lord. While you were deciphering the Sky-breaking Plate, I had already issued orders to gather the Immortal Venerable experts of the Tianbei Sect. They can head to the Thunder Domain at any time," Lan Zan nodded.

Though he believed it highly unlikely for Jing Yan to unravel the Sky-breaking Plate’s mysteries in such a short time, he had made preparations. If Jing Yan had given up, the Tianbei Sect indeed would not have sent reinforcements to the Thunder Domain. But now, his preparations proved right.

"Thank you very much! Lan Zan Sect Master, I will take my leave then, farewell!" Jing Yan stood up and returned the Sky-breaking Plate to Sect Master Lan Zan.

The Sky-breaking Plate was a special artifact. Jing Yan had successfully deciphered its mysteries and understood that it was a targeted tool. Jing Yan speculated that this Sky-breaking Plate might have been casually refined by Elder Tian Bei specifically for him. To any Immortal Venerable, the Space-Time Corridor of the Sky-breaking Plate is almost unsolvable, but to an Immortal Emperor mastering the Supreme Rules, it might be something very ordinary.

Therefore, the Sky-breaking Plate, by itself, doesn’t have much value. Jing Yan naturally returned it to Sect Master Lan Zan.

Jing Yan left the Tianbei Sect headquarters and made his way back to the Thunder Domain as quickly as possible. During his journey, Jing Yan also sent a message to Grand Steward Bai Han, informing him that he would return to Hongmeng City in a month. Subsequently, Jing Yan also sent a message to Meng Kun, the president of the Golden Toad Commerce.

Upon receiving Jing Yan’s message, Meng Kun remarked that he thought Jing Yan had disappeared and didn’t care about the fate of Leiyu Hongmeng City and the Golden Toad Commerce.

During the time they couldn’t contact Jing Yan, Meng Kun was indeed anxious. He was genuinely worried. Because, if there was no Jing Yan in this battle, then Hongmeng City and the Golden Toad Commerce would definitely not triumph. The outcome of failure doesn’t need to be elaborated; the Golden Toad Commerce would also be wiped out.

After ending the communication with Jing Yan, Meng Kun immediately ordered the Immortal Venerables of the Golden Toad Commerce to board the Heavenly Domain Flying Boat and head to the Thunder Domain.

As Jing Yan departed from the Tianbei Sect headquarters and raced back to the Thunder Domain, three black-clothed cultivators appeared on the outskirts of the Thunder Domain.

These three men, with skull insignia embroidered on their chests, clearly bore the Killing Star insignia of the Yama Palace. Dressed in black robes, it’s apparent they are Chen Feng, Zhao Yijun, and Zhang Motie, the three black-clothed Killing Stars of Yama Palace.

These three black-clothed Killing Stars arrived at the Thunder Domain’s outskirts in advance, not acting with the main forces of Yama Palace.

"Beyond here is the range of the Thunder Domain," Chen Feng said as the three halted.

"The Palace Master instructed us to act freely, but try not to destroy the cities. Once we destroy Hongmeng City and Jing Yan, we should take over these cities; it would be a pity if they were destroyed."

"Indeed, we just need to kill everyone belonging to Hongmeng City," Zhang Motie nodded in agreement.

"They say that guy called Jing Yan is incredibly powerful, unmatched by anything in the Immortal Venerable Realm. I, however, want to meet him sooner!" Zhao Yijun sneered.

"Our task is to randomly hunt down the city management personnel belonging to Hongmeng City in the Thunder Domain, so for now, we should avoid that Hongmeng City Lord," Chen Feng glanced at Zhao Yijun.

Zhao Yijun smirked without responding.

"Huh? Isn’t this the Killing Star insignia of Yama Palace?"

Shortly after the three black-clothed Killing Stars stopped, a group of cultivators approached, with someone noticing the skull emblem on the three’s chests and laughingly remarked.

"You three are bold, daring to impersonate the Killing Stars of Yama Palace. But you’re truly foolish; if you’re going to impersonate, at least make it look real. Where have you seen Killing Stars of Yama Palace wearing black robes?" A cultivator laughed.

Ordinary cultivators rarely know that black-clothed Killing Stars exist within Yama Palace. In the understanding of these ordinary cultivators, the strongest Killing Stars of Yama Palace are the ones in Red Dress. So, when they saw three people wearing black robes with the Killing Star insignia, they assumed the trio were impostors.

"You three, hand over your valuables obediently!" ordered the leader of this group of cultivators.

Recently, the outskirts of the Thunder Domain have been very chaotic, with many robber organizations active here. When encountering lone or small groups of cultivators, if they thought they could rob them, they’d rush in to block.

But this time, they kicked a steel board, one that would require them to pay with their lives.

"Die!" Zhao Yijun’s sinister voice was uttered.

With a flicker of shadows, waves of black light rippled out, annihilating dozens of robbers almost simultaneously, leaving only the leader alive, face ashen, trembling in the cold wind.

"Next time you want to rob somebody, keep your dog eyes wide open!" Zhao Yijun stood before the leading robber, his cold eyes staring at him.
