The Trash Guide Awakens: The Youngest General's Hidden Wife
Chapter 101: The Creator
The command deck remained suffocatingly silent. The final golden words hovered in mid-air above the central console, casting an ethereal light over Rhaevia’s pale face.
[PROJECT GENESIS – CREATOR: SOVEREIGN GUIDE.]
She stared at the floating glyphs without blinking, her breath trapped inside her chest. I created it, she thought, the realization ringing in her ears like a bell.
The idea felt utterly impossible, a contradiction that shattered her perception of her own past. Project Genesis had been a shadow operating behind classified reports, military archives, forbidden research facilities, and records.
It was the secret project that every major faction in the interstellar galaxy feared. It had followed her through every step of her awakening, orchestrating the circumstances of her rebirth on the barren planet.
And now, the technological interface was declaring that she was the mind behind its entire existence.
Rhaevia slowly shook her head, taking a hesitant step backward away from the console. “No,” she whispered, her voice barely audible over the flagship’s core.
Raevor remained standing firmly beside her, his tall silhouette an anchor against the rising energy in the room. He did not interrupt her thoughts or force an answer.
He simply watched her, his presence cutting through the overwhelming pressure that filled the command deck.
“I don’t understand,” she murmured, her fingers trembling as she looked up at him. “If I created Project Genesis, then why did every clue suggest it was hunting me down?”
Raevor’s expression remained calm and grounded. “Perhaps because the people who inherited the system never truly understood what they had found.”
Rhaevia met his gaze, searching his silver eyes. He looked back at her without a single trace of hesitation.
“You said the project was created to preserve the Sovereign,” Raevor continued, his tone smooth and reassuring. “That doesn’t mean the factions who stumbled upon its fragments across the centuries understood its original purpose.”
Rhaevia lowered her eyes toward the metal floor, her mind spinning. “But the system controlled my awakening on that planet.”
“It responded to your soul signature,” Raevor corrected gently.
“Then why did it keep everything locked away from me until now?” she asked.
Raevor paused briefly, considering the question. “Maybe it wasn’t hiding the truth from you.”
His words made her look back up, her breath catching in her throat.
“Maybe it was simply waiting for you to become strong enough to carry the truth,” he said softly.
Rhaevia’s chest tightened as a wave of emotion washed over her. She turned back toward the vast, holographic interface suspended above the central console.
Thousands of encrypted files remained queued behind the main authorization banner. Records, genetic archives, Sovereign research, Sentinel data, Zerg classifications, and civilization preservation protocols lay waiting.
Everything she had once known and created was stored within those golden streams of light.
How much of my own identity did I bury? she wondered, the thought terrifying her more than any external threat.
In the span of a few days, she had uncovered that she was once a Sovereign who held a galaxy on her shoulders. She had abandoned a throne, sacrificed her power, and willingly cast her soul into the cycle of reincarnation.
She had fought beside a Sentinel whose energy matched Raevor’s, and she had been shielded by the True King through the void. Now, she had discovered that she was the architect of Project Genesis.
How many more forgotten fragments of her past were still buried deep within her soul?
Rhaevia pressed her palm firmly against her forehead, trying to suppress the thrumming pain in her temples. “What if the person who created this system is someone I wouldn’t even recognize today?”
Raevor took a deliberate step closer, closing the physical distance between them. “She was you,” he said firmly.
Rhaevia’s eyes lifted to meet his.
“But that doesn’t mean she commands who you are in this moment,” he added, his voice carrying an unyielding strength. “You are not obligated to blindly follow the decisions she made millennia ago.”
Something fundamental inside Rhaevia shifted at his words. She looked at the stylized Sovereign crown above the console display.
For so long, every recovered memory had felt like an invisible chain wrapping tighter around her neck. Each revelation seemed to dictate who she was supposed to be, including a Sovereign, a Queen, a Creator, a Warrior, and a Sacrifice.
Yet none of those ancient titles answered the question that truly mattered in the present. Who was she right now, standing on the deck of this flagship?
Rhaevia slowly exhaled, letting the long-held tension drain from her shoulders. “I was terrified when I started remembering all of this,” she admitted.
Raevor remained silent, giving her the space to speak her heart.
“I thought reclaiming my past meant I had to become that cold, distant person again,” she said, her fingers relaxing at her sides. “I thought I had to carry the whole galaxy alone.”
A soft, genuine warmth returned to her eyes as she looked at him. “But maybe I don’t have to.”
Raevor’s gaze softened, a subtle smile touching the corner of his lips. “No, you don’t.”
“The woman who created Project Genesis made her choices based on a war that ended eons ago,” Rhaevia said, turning her head to stare at the interface. “She sacrificed herself and made a plan for the Sovereign to return because she had no other choice.”
She straightened her posture, lifting her chin with grace. “But I am not living her life anymore.”
Raevor gave a single, firm nod of agreement. “You are Rhaevia.”
The simple statement struck her heart with far greater force than any ancient title ever could. She was not just a Sovereign, a creator, or a reincarnated weapon.
She was Rhaevia Rythundeir.
A faint, brilliant smile broke across her face. “I think I’m finally beginning to understand.”
Raevor tilted his head slightly. “Understand what?”
“My past explains where I came from,” she said, turning her full attention back to the system. “But it doesn’t command where I go from here.”
Raevor kept his eyes fixed on her, his stance unwavering. “And your future?”
Rhaevia met his eyes with clear, absolute conviction. “That belongs entirely to me.”
For the first time since her awakening, the suffocating weight inside her chest dissolved. The golden Sovereign energy surrounding her body stabilized, turning from a wild tempest into a calm, radiant aura.
The system responded to her internal harmony immediately. The floating data streams folded inward, vanishing one by one until only a single golden interface remained in the center of the deck.
A circular crest formed before her, hovering in the air. Beneath it, a single line of text rendered across the screen.
[CREATOR SOUL SIGNATURE VERIFIED.]
Rhaevia watched the display without fear. Another notification chimed softly through the room.
[PROJECT GENESIS AUTHORITY RESTORED.]
Raevor’s posture sharpened, his hand resting near his side as the system completed its cycle. “Rhaevia,” he called softly.
She stepped forward, approaching the central terminal with composure. The system expanded into its final command interface.
[SOVEREIGN GUIDE.]
[PROJECT GENESIS IS AWAITING CREATOR INSTRUCTION.]
Rhaevia took a slow, steady breath, feeling the pulse of the ship beneath her feet. The entire command deck seemed to hold its breath alongside her.
Then, a final glowing prompt appeared in the air before her.
[WHAT IS YOUR COMMAND?]
