The Triplets My Ex Never Knew About
Chapter 271: The Three Little Ones’ Future Good Friends Appear
Chapter 271: Chapter 271: The Three Little Ones’ Future Good Friends Appear
For the first time, Noelle Lockwood felt despair.
These relatives, who had always claimed to love her, were all forcing her to kneel! To kneel before Estelle Lockwood!
How had the world come to this? Wasn’t she supposed to have a lucky charm life?
But now, her aunt was holding her head, slamming it into the ground again and again. It didn’t stop, not even after her forehead was split open.
And her grandfather, father, mother... all these people were saying things like, "Let go! My poor girl," but none of them did anything!
’If you really feel sorry for me, then go die in my place!’
Estelle Lockwood watched calmly for a moment before raising her hand.
Outside, the police, who had been waiting for some time, broke down the door and rushed in.
Estelle had no interest in looking at the Lockwoods for another second. Her grudge with Austin Lockwood and Rose Lowell was finally over.
As she was about to leave, Noelle Lockwood suddenly shrieked, "Estelle Lockwood, I have another secret! If you let me go, I’ll tell you—"
Estelle Lockwood walked straight out of Lockwood Manor.
Behind her, the wails and roars of the Lockwoods faded into the distance. Noelle Lockwood finally broke down.
Next, the Lockwood Family would face the judgment of the law. Some would be imprisoned, others would face the death penalty.
"Estelle Lockwood." A sinister female voice sounded by her ear.
Princess Avery had just received a call from Prince Avery, who had chewed her out. She gave a cold, sinister sneer. "This isn’t over between us."
Estelle raised an eyebrow, her eyes narrowing as she watched Princess Avery’s retreating back.
She didn’t know why, but she had sensed Princess Avery’s hostility toward her from the very first glance.
And yet, they were complete strangers.
...
After everything was over, Henry Kendrick and Penelope Sullivan crowded around Estelle Lockwood, circling her for a long time before they were finally relieved to see she was unharmed.
Penelope Sullivan let out a breath of relief. "Alright, now the whole world knows what the Lockwoods did. They won’t be able to stir up any more trouble. As for Noelle Lockwood... I heard she’s gone mad."
Estelle arched a brow. "Mad?"
"She probably couldn’t handle the fall from grace. Ranting about how she has a lucky charm life, how she’s the protagonist of this world. Don’t you think she’s sick in the head?"
Perhaps.
’Noelle grew up coddled by the Lockwoods,’ Estelle thought. ’With Rose Lowell constantly telling her she had a "lucky charm life," she probably developed some unhealthy delusions.’
And now, facing prison, her glory days gone, it was entirely in character for someone like Noelle Lockwood to go insane.
"Oh, right. While she was having her breakdown, Noelle also said she has a secret, and that she’d take it to her grave... and never tell you."
Estelle paused. "A secret?"
"Yeah. The police investigated her, too. They searched her from top to bottom but didn’t find anything secret."
Estelle twirled a pen between her fingertips. "Then let her take her secret to the grave."
Noelle Lockwood was deliberately making a fuss about this secret, clearly hoping Estelle would rescue her to find out what it was. The less curious Estelle acted, the more anxious Noelle would become.
"Mommy!" Zachery came running over excitedly and threw himself into Estelle’s arms. He sweetly called out to Penelope Sullivan and Henry Kendrick, "Hi, Aunt Penelope! Hi, Uncle Henry!"
Penelope’s heart melted. "Zachery, what are you so excited about?"
"Mommy, the kindergarten is organizing a fall field trip! Will you come with us?"
At the same time, Estelle received a notification from the kindergarten. A prestigious kindergarten like this often held events for parents and children to enjoy together.
The location for this fall trip was a small, picturesque village. These days, the wealthier city dwellers were, the more they yearned for a pastoral life.
The village’s tourism development was relatively well-established, so the kindergarten’s choice of location also ensured safety.
However, if a child wanted to go, they had to be accompanied by a parent. This was a strict rule.
Estelle’s heart softened as she looked at Zachery’s excited little face.
"Of course. I’ll go with you."
Zachery let out a little "yay!" "What about Daddy?"
Nathaniel Sloan, who had appeared at some point, said, "I’ll be there too, of course."
The kindergarten’s destination wasn’t far. A luxury bus waited at the school gate, surrounded by a crowd of chattering, excited children, each with a small backpack, full of anticipation for the trip.
Mia, carrying a little yellow duck backpack, stood obediently to the side.
"If you ask me, the principal has no taste. Letting any old country bumpkin be my classmate."
Suddenly, a nasty, grating voice spoke up. A boy, about five or six years old, with no innocence in his eyes—only mean-spirited cunning—charged straight at Mia.
Mia sidestepped him. BANG! Scott York’s body slammed into the bus, making him see stars from the pain. "Y-you just wait!"
Mia couldn’t be bothered to argue with an idiot.
This Scott York had transferred to the school not long ago.
Ever since he arrived, for some crazy reason, he had started bothering her and Zachery, calling them country bumpkins at every turn.
At first, Zachery thought Scott just wanted to play with them. Only later did they realize that Scott had no intention of playing; he was maliciously targeting them!
’Zachery really is a little fool!’
’I wonder who Scott’s parents are, to have raised such a little terror.’
At kindergarten, he was either stealing things or snatching them outright. Whatever Scott laid his eyes on, he had to take for himself, which annoyed many people.
This time, for some insane reason, Scott had lost his mind again. He completely disregarded the crowd and started yelling at Mia, looking like he was about to hit her.
The surrounding parents couldn’t stand to watch. "Whose child is that? That little girl was just standing there minding her own business. Why did he have to go and provoke her?"
"WAHHH! Daddy, Scott bullies me every day at kindergarten!"
"What? Sweetie, tell Daddy what happened."
Once one child started crying, the others joined in.
"Mommy, Scott stole my hair clip..."
"Daddy, Scott steals my milk every day... WAHHH..."
The parents were suddenly in a panic. "Honey, why didn’t you tell Mommy and Daddy before?"
"Scott said his family is rich and powerful, and if we dared to tell, we’d be finished!"
The crying was endless. Almost every child had a story about Scott’s terrible behavior. Now, the parents were furious.
"Whose kid is this? Come on, let’s go demand an explanation from the principal!"
"Bullying other kids and threatening them into silence? Isn’t that school bullying?"
"I thought this kind of thing wouldn’t happen at Crestfall Kindergarten, but who knew...!"
"His last name is York? Don’t tell me he’s from *that* York Family?"
Seeing the mocking and contemptuous looks from everyone around him, Scott York didn’t back down. Instead, he became even more vicious, screaming, "Mia Lockwood, you dare tattle on me!"
Mia: "?"
She took a close look at Scott’s face and then did a quick divination for him... How should she put it?
’Is my skill lacking?’ This Scott York seemed to have done nothing but bad deeds, yet the divination said he was just a little idiot.
...?
Seeing Scott raise his fist at Mia again, a few of the parents immediately stepped in, picking Mia up and moving her away. Their expressions turned to disgust. "Quick! Get Scott York’s parents over here, or we’re calling the police!"
"Please, calm down!"
Suddenly, an anxious female voice called out.
Mia turned her head and saw that it was that bad woman, Thea York.
