"You’re awake?" Mia said as she walked over, smiling, "Dad just said you were taking a nap."

"Getting old, can’t sleep at night, and feel tired during the day," the old master sighed, "Let’s not talk about that. Grandpa wants to ask you, what do you think about Jax’s situation?"

Mia was taken aback, "I follow Brother Jackson’s lead."

"Hey." Old Master Jackson disagreed, "You don’t need to follow him in everything, tell me what you think."

"This child likes Koa so much, she obviously wants to enjoy the world with him alone. The young couple has only been reunited for half a month, in the honeymoon phase," Lydia Williams answered for Mia with a laugh before she could respond.

Old Master Jackson seemed thoughtful, but Mia quickly countered, "It’s fine. Koa and I think alike—Jax is very cute, and he’s not troublesome at all. I’d be happy to help take care of him with Brother Jackson."

The old master was surprised for a moment, then sighed, "It’s good that you feel that way."

Old Master Jackson raised his eyes to look at Koa Jackson, speaking in a steady voice, "I understand your intentions and Mia’s. But in all fairness, it’s not your responsibility to take care of Jax. Let your father and Lydia handle it for now. If it really doesn’t work out, then we’ll reconsider. You both have your own things to prepare for—planning a wedding, going to work. Your work hours are unstable enough as it is, there’s no need to add to your troubles."

"Grandpa." Koa’s expression changed slightly.

The old master raised his hand to stop him from speaking, "That’s settled."

He then turned to Zane Jackson, "Judge your own situation. Taking care of Jax is quite easy, but you can’t neglect him just because of that. And you," the old master glanced at Lydia, saying in a mild voice, "Since you requested for this, take good care of him. You don’t need to treat him like your own child, but at the very least, make sure he grows up healthy for me."

"Rest assured," Lydia hurriedly assured him, "Zane’s child is my child, I will take good care of him. It’s our mistake for troubling you with these matters, it’s the daughter-in-law’s fault."

"What fault do you have?" the old master said lightly, glancing at Zane Jackson.
