Gu Su slowly circled the Graveyard Demon once more, meticulously inspecting every section of the new vine wall. He occasionally grazed the surface of the vines with his fingertips, confirming their hard, dry texture and the faint aura emanating from within.

Only after he had finished inspecting the final section of the wall and confirmed there were no oversights did he finally let out a sigh of relief, his mind completely at ease.

This new layer of defense had no gaps or vulnerabilities.

The strange, ink-black vines entwined around the new wall’s surface were rock-hard. They clung tightly to the wall’s foundation, forming a dense, taut web that covered every inch of it.

They sealed every minute crack and subtle fissure on the wall’s surface, leaving not so much as a crevice for the wind to pass through or a single speck of dust to penetrate.

Even the window openings, which had long since shattered into gaping black voids, were now tightly cocooned. The interwoven layers of vines were so thick that one could only faintly make out the fragmented outlines of the sills, rendering it impossible to peer inside.

Any hope of getting lucky and sneaking in from beneath the Graveyard Demon was completely extinguished by this incredibly sturdy vine wall.

Finding a path to sneak in silently from below was now nothing more than a pipe dream.

And if anyone were to foolishly attempt to scale the walls using these dried vines, trying to breach the Graveyard Demon’s outer defenses, they would only be courting death.

On the surface, the vines appeared dry, stiff, and lifeless, as if they had long lost all their vitality.

In truth, they hadn’t lost their ability to move or attack. They were merely lying dormant.

As the absolute master of the Graveyard Demon, Gu Su was clearly perceived by the vines. That was why they remained docile and dormant, never launching an attack against him.

But for anyone else who dared to even approach the vines, the ghastly white bones buried deep within their layers would instantly become their final resting place. There would be no exceptions.

Gu Su was also firmly convinced that even if some witless enemy dared to provoke them, using extreme measures like slashing with blades, burning with fire, or dousing them with Strong Acid, they wouldn’t be able to harm these strange vines in the slightest.

These vines also possessed incredible self-healing and regenerative abilities. If they were damaged and a breach was created, they would grow and spread at extreme speed, covering the opening in an instant. This would secure the Graveyard Demon, leaving no defensive vulnerabilities for an enemy to exploit.

’With security no longer an issue, the other minor details can wait. No need to get hung up on them now.’

Gu Su mused to himself, ’I’ll figure out the reasons for these changes later, when I have some free time.’

’For now, the most important thing is to get back inside the Graveyard Demon and make sure everything is in order.’

With that thought, Gu Su stopped lingering. He cleared his mind and strode quickly toward the main gate of the Graveyard Demon.

But just as he took his second step, Crow’s Caw landed on his shoulder.

"How did it go?"

"Everything over at the Vine Mansion has disappeared. Not even a trace remains, as if that bizarre Vine Mansion never even existed."

Hearing this, Gu Su instantly put the pieces together. This extra layer of wall on the Graveyard Demon was clearly the condensed remains of that bizarre Vine Mansion, formed after it was completely devoured and assimilated by the Corroding Mycelium.

It wasn’t that the vines had been stripped away individually; rather, the entire Vine Mansion had been broken down and reassembled by the mycelium, ultimately attaching to the base of the Graveyard Demon and becoming a part of it.

’Since the source is clear and there are no other abnormalities, there shouldn’t be any hidden dangers. No need to worry about it anymore.’

Gu Su pushed aside any further thoughts, turned, and strode back toward the Graveyard Demon’s interior, his steps a little lighter than before.

The moment he stepped within the bounds of the Graveyard Demon, he keenly sensed that subtle changes had taken place inside as well.

The downward passage to what he assumed was a basement had now been fully repaired; the previous damage and clutter were gone. A ring of vines emitting a faint green fluorescent glow was coiled around the passage’s surface, as if to indicate to Gu Su the origin of this new basement.

Observing the scene, Gu Su pursed his lips. Just as he was about to go take a look at the basement, he was surprised to find two unfamiliar figures standing quietly in the graveyard.

They were new Minions that had appeared in the Graveyard Demon.

Gu Su knew at a glance that they were Minions because each had a conspicuous, triangular Battle Banner attached to their back.

This was the unique mark of a Minion in the game. With the exception of smaller creatures like White Crow and the Bone Dogs, most Bosses and Minions had a corresponding Battle Banner to prove their status.

One of the two Battle Banners had a red pattern on a blue field. It clearly depicted a ghastly white, skeletal hand with well-defined Bone Joints, its palm steadily holding a sharp, crystalline Ice Cone.

The other had a black pattern on a green field and depicted a jet-black Miner’s Pickaxe, its razor-sharp tip buried deep in a thick, sturdy bone.

Understanding flashed in Gu Su’s eyes.

The Magic Skeleton Faction and the Walking Dead had each successfully produced their first Minion.

For him, this was undoubtedly incredibly good news.

The appearance of Minions would make the normally rigid Undead far more obedient. Now, if Gu Su needed something done, he could simply order the Minions to handle it instead of having to command the inflexible Undead directly.

He paused his steps toward the basement passage, suppressing his curiosity. He then turned and walked directly toward the two new Minions.
