The Unveiling of Secret Queen
Chapter 2394: Could Lynn Kingsley Be Protecting You?
She remembered that day when she climbed over the wall and heard someone inside call out to stop the Ji Family from chasing her. The voice was very familiar; she had heard it at least once before.
Now that he mentioned Lynn Kingsley, Nathalie Quinlan recalled that the voice stopping the Ji Family from chasing her was Lynn Kingsley’s!
"That’s strange... When you clashed with Zevaney Kingsley, he clearly sided with them and seemed quite unfriendly towards you."
Amadeus Yancey’s eyes flashed as he slowly voiced his bold guess from the past few days: "Nathalie, have you ever considered that he might be doing this to... protect you?"
Even Alfred Garland found this conjecture somewhat incredible: "Amadeus, you’re overthinking this. How could Mr. Kingsley...?"
Amadeus Yancey leaned lazily against the cabinet by the hospital bed and questioned him calmly: "Why not? Haven’t you understood the situation in Inderia yet?"
Alfred Garland still felt it was a bit far-fetched.
The Kingsleys Family has always been unfriendly towards Ms. Quinlan; how could Lynn Kingsley be protecting Ms. Quinlan?
"The Kingsleys Family’s direct-line descent has declined, the sidelines have grown, and there is internal unrest. If she returns now, she will only be putting herself on the fire." Amadeus Yancey chuckled, seemingly figuring out Lynn Kingsley’s intentions: "The colder he is to Nathalie Quinlan, the less those like Willy Kingsley would dare act rashly, allowing Nathalie to do as she wishes in Inderia. This is the simplest and most effective way to protect someone."
Lynn Kingsley chose to distance himself from her in order to protect her.
"And what about Zevaney?" Alfred Garland still doubted, recalling a person.
Amadeus Yancey sneered slightly, speaking in a low voice: "Her? She’s obviously Lynn Kingsley’s biggest stand-in for Nathalie Quinlan within the Kingsleys Family."
It’s just that this stand-in, including some self-serving ambitious individuals within the Kingsleys Family, thought Lynn Kingsley truly favored Zevaney Kingsley.
He did not believe that, with Lynn Kingsley’s abilities and insight, he couldn’t see that Zevaney Kingsley was inept and couldn’t compare with Nathalie Quinlan.
"What you said... I need to think about it more..." Nathalie Quinlan’s head hurt again, and just then, the phone placed nearby lit up.
She picked it up absent-mindedly, turned on the screen, and glanced down at the message from Nicholas Fuller: [People from Hidden Family have arrived.]
Nathalie Quinlan sat up abruptly, her eyes half-narrowed with a somewhat dangerous gleam.
The timing was impeccable.
Just after she had found Lynette Kingsley’s belongings, the Hidden Family had popped up.

At this moment.
Martin’s residence.
He was arguing fiercely with an old man with white beard and hair, clutching his fists tightly: "I’ve told you countless times, that Zevaney Kingsley is just a pretty face!"
"...She relies entirely on occupying others’ research results, having no real skills herself!"
Even though Martin’s face was flushed red with anger, and his voice loud and emotional. Unfortunately, the person sitting opposite him was unmoved: "Is that so? Perhaps you have a good relationship with Nicholas Fuller, and that’s why you’re speaking for him, slandering a talented young person."
Martin’s face turned ashen with rage, clenching his fists in anger: "Mr. Isadora, I, Martin, am not the type of person you think."
"If she truly had talent, I wouldn’t say anything bad about her just because of anyone else."
"The fact is, she lacks talent and has only achieved those results through shortcuts! Those results aren’t her true strength but shameful plagiarism!"
The old man sneered: "Evidence?"
Martin retorted fiercely, gritting his teeth: "Inderians are proof; they all know these things!"
