The Unveiling of Secret Queen
Chapter 2397: Zevaney Kingsley Was Made to Stand Outside for an Hour
The scene before them stunned everyone.
The bearded man stared at the computer emitting black smoke in front of him, unable to recover for a long time: "Our computer... is broken?"
The people under him didn’t dare to raise their heads and stammered, "The other party’s Trojan destroyed our C Drive and activated the computer’s self-destruct program. The motherboard was probably fried."
"What about the stuff inside the computer?" The bearded man clenched his fists, turned back, and asked with blazing eyes.
The person dared not speak: "Uh, I think... I think it’s all destroyed? I’m not sure, but it seems like it’s all gone."
The bearded man couldn’t speak for a long time.
He already had the answer in his heart, but he just couldn’t accept it.
"Who on earth are they? Weren’t they supposed to be just an ordinary person, not even from Inderia?" He barely found his voice, the veins on his neck bulging as he tried to tolerate the frustration in his heart: "You call this ’ordinary person’?"
The people from Regina Isadora were at a loss: "I, I don’t know either, Mr. Isadora said she was an ordinary person. I thought..."
The bearded man yanked him away: "I’m going to find Mr. Isadora!"
*
Zevaney Kingsley’s Range Rover slowly stopped outside a large white four-story villa. She instructed the driver to wait outside, tidied herself up a bit, took a deep breath, and got out of the car first.
"You’re Ms. Kingsley, correct?" A servant walked up at the villa’s gate, smiling politely as they inquired about her identity.
Zevaney dared not put on airs in front of them, nodded politely: "That’s me."
The servant smiled and extended a hand, leading the way: "Please follow me, Mr. Isadora is already waiting for you."
Zevaney followed closely behind her, entering the villa.
The grand villa was typically European in style, with opulent and flamboyant décor inside. The immense chandelier in the living room revealed that the owner was someone who unabashedly enjoyed indulgence.
The carpet stretching from the hallway covered the entire villa, and stepping on it gave a soft, cloud-like comfort.
To the right side of the living room was a large cabinet, with warm charcoal burning inside, heating the entire villa warmly.
Zevaney restrained her curiosity, didn’t look around, and followed the servant straight ahead until the servant stopped and said to her, "Ms. Kingsley, we’re here. Please wait a moment, Mr. Isadora is in the study and will be down shortly."
"Okay, thank you." Zevaney thanked her gracefully.
The servant replied, "You’re welcome," and left without a backward glance.
Zevaney just stood in the living room waiting.
During this time, no one came out to offer her water or invited her to sit.
She stood there waiting for a full hour until her calves felt numb, and finally, someone came out from the study.
He’s here.
Zevaney took a deep breath, quietly clenched her fists.
Her gaze was fixed on the person coming out. It was an elderly man about 60 years old with mostly white hair, but his eyes were unforgettable.
Zevaney originally thought the people from the Hidden Family would all be blonde-haired, blue-eyed like Martin. To her surprise, this old man was of typical Asian appearance, though his features were slightly more defined than the average person.
"Sit."
Regina Isadora was neatly dressed, of medium height, moved with vigor, and scrutinized Zevaney as he walked over.
He was not as emotionally expressive as Zevaney, only giving her a cursory glance before sitting himself on the sofa and inviting Zevaney to sit down.
