The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 2410: I Lost. How Would Ms. Quinlan Like to Punish Me?

  • Next Chapter

Nathalie Quinlan calmly gathered all the dice back, then shook the dice cup with one hand, slammed it on the table, and opened it.

She managed to make a neat row with the six dice, and they stood upright.

This is the ultimate dice technique—Cloud Ladder!

Lianna Young still harbored a glimmer of hope, thinking Nathalie’s earlier leopard roll was just luck, but she now completely understood.

It wasn’t luck; she is a pro.

"Have you played dice before?" Lianna couldn’t discern any dice-playing skill from Nathalie, her expression was complex as she looked at the girl.

The girl simply put down the dice cup and said calmly, "I played when I was bored at home as a child."

"..."

Lianna took a deep breath, braced herself mentally, and then admitted defeat with a refreshing smile: "I lost. Ms. Quinlan, how would you like to punish me?"

Nathalie glanced at her with bright eyes, didn’t say anything about letting her go. Her sight shifted slightly to a glass of red wine sitting on the table and pointed to it saying, "Then you’ll be punished by drinking that."

Lianna’s initially tense mood quickly relaxed, stunned as she looked at her, "Is it that simple?"

"Just that simple." Nathalie, with one hand in her pocket, coolly replied, "Unless you want some other punishment, like me giving you a beating?"

She shrugged her shoulder, exuding a devil-may-care aura, turning to the glamorous woman she said, "You see, my right hand is injured. Even if I wanted to, I couldn’t. Next time maybe!"

Lianna felt a bit awkward but couldn’t help genuinely laughing upon hearing this, quickly waving her hands, "No! No next time, I promise there won’t be a next time."

She didn’t care that the Yandor Sect members were watching; she walked over, picked up the glass, and drank it all at once without any hesitation.

Lianna showed Nathalie the empty glass as proof and then, with a bit of resentment, stole a glance in Amadeus Yancey’s direction, observing the perfectly matched couple. Taking a deep breath, she swallowed her bitterness, and the last bit of reluctance faded away.

She could let go as she could take it up.

She could love fiercely and lose gracefully!

Thinking this, Lianna turned her head and felt much lighter, proactively inviting Nathalie: "Ms. Quinlan, have you had dinner yet?"

"If you haven’t, I can have the waiter prepare a few dishes for us, let’s sit together and get to know each other better."

Nathalie rubbed her brow, contemplating how to turn her down.

Just then, Amadeus Yancey walked over, placing a hand on the girl’s shoulder, and told Lianna, "It’s getting late, let’s meet up another time."

Vincent Moore quickly stepped out, volunteering, "Sir Amadeus, I’ll drive you both home."

Lianna looked at Nathalie with a slightly disappointed expression but didn’t say anything, waving cheerfully, "Ms. Quinlan, I’ll invite you next time. See if there’s anything you want, and I’ll buy it for you today as an apology."

Zed Moore couldn’t help but chuckle, itching to say: Do you know you’re speaking to a very wealthy person?

Fortunately, Nathalie was quite graceful, sparing Lianna any embarrassment. She tipped her hat, revealing her white chin, and spoke in a laid-back tone: "Alright."

"I’ll think about it and let you know." She pondered and then said.

"Alright~"

Lianna quickly agreed. Only then did she completely relax, bustling around offering to drive Nathalie home, and waited with her for the car... quite unlike their first confrontational meeting, she seemed to genuinely like Nathalie.
