Chapter 2441: The Contents Written on the Note

Amadeus Yancey waited outside for ten minutes, replied to a message, and then looked up to see the girl coming out of The First Research Institute’s main entrance.

He put away his phone, straightened his legs, turned, and opened the car door.

Nathalie Quinlan got into the car, fastened the seatbelt herself, and was lost in thought throughout, appearing somewhat distracted.

Amadeus didn’t question her, turned to get in on the other side, and handed her the drink he had bought: "Here, your lemon iced water."

Nathalie saw the drink suddenly enlarged in front of her, reached out to take it, turned the rim of the cup with her cold, white hand, and lowered her gaze, saying: "Thanks."

Noticing her distraction, Amadeus started the car, placed his hand on the steering wheel, and raised an eyebrow, asking: "Should we go home first or straight to the hospital?"

Nathalie thought for a moment, half-narrowed her eyes with a determined look: "Let’s go find Nathan Garland, I have something to ask him."

In a nondescript corner of a private hospital in Inderia.

Nathan Garland, looking weathered, was confined in one of the hospital rooms. Aside from the inability to leave, each day someone would come and bring him food.

The Garland Family searched around, Effendy Garland reached out to Zevaney Kingsley for help.

Nathan Garland paused after reading, quickly grasped the implications, and the vacant look in his eyes began to focus into specks of light.

His transformation was entirely captured in Nathalie Quinlan’s line of sight.

She watched as he tossed aside the note, pulling a deadpan face, and without irritation, retrieved the note from him and sent it right into the trash.

Her eyes slightly lifted, her hand resting on the desktop, and with a casual tone, she said: "So, tell me, what is Zevaney up to?"

"..." Nathan Garland’s gaze flickered, tightly closed his lips, apparently unwilling to discuss any further.

Nathalie Quinlan curled her lips, tapping her left hand on the desktop, leaned back, and watched his reaction with her pitch-black eyes, soft laughter escaping: "Do you still think that Zevaney, up till now, would still care about you?"

Nathan Garland seemed to be provoked, swiftly staring at her.

Nathalie simply let his fierce gaze fixate on herself, reached up to adjust her Duckbill Cap, revealing an extremely arrogant expression: "You no longer hold any value for her."
