The Unveiling of Secret Queen
Chapter 2448: Coincidentally, All the Meetings Are at 3 PM Tomorrow
Nathalie Quinlan’s dark eyes looked at him, extremely black and dark. After a long while, she moved slightly, put her hand down, and responded, "I understand."
"But I still want to pursue this investigation," she said lightly. "She gave me a life, I owe her an explanation."
Amadeus Yancey said no more; he already understood Nathalie Quinlan’s intention: "Then you must first overturn this ’little fish’ to follow it to the fishpond."
Nathalie Quinlan shrugged her shoulders, having no opinion.
She had thought very clearly about it from the start. If the Hidden Family is related to Lynette Kingsley’s death, she would not just find Regina Isadora to locate the ’fishpond’; she would probably blow up this old fishpond!
Her phone on the table lit up before she took a shower.
The screen showed a message from an unfamiliar number.
[Nathalie Quinlan, shall we meet? At 3 PM at the restaurant across the street from the Institute, I’ll book a private room and wait for you.]
She was about to pick up her phone to see who sent the message.
Suddenly, a scorching presence approached her, trapping her in her seat, unable to move. Nathalie Quinlan looked up to see Amadeus Yancey’s enlarged handsome face.
"Nathalie the Goddess, we’ve finished talking."
"Can I now have a look at the injury on your shoulder?"
His eyes were burning intensely, his arm was like an iron clamp trapping her in his embrace, his lowered head and smiled lips were nothing like his usual lazy demeanor, more like a lion that just woke up, very dominating.
The intense heat from above was closing in through his breath.
Nathalie Quinlan’s nerves tightened.
At this moment, the phone on the table lit up again.
She caught a glimpse of the same unfamiliar number from the corner of her eye, still inviting with an undoubtedly assuming tone: [If you don’t respond, I’ll assume it’s set.]
[See you tomorrow at 3 PM.]
Nathalie Quinlan, slightly distracted, still hadn’t figured out who was messaging her.
Amadeus Yancey had already pulled her thoughts back, smiling gently: "Hm, even now you’re distracted? Seems I’m... not charming enough."
"..." Nathalie Quinlan only felt a wave of heat approaching her.
Her lips were gently covered by someone.
...
Outside.
"Jo sister..." The last syllable of sister wasn’t finished when Sadam Vinson’s eyes widened as if seeing a ghost, quickly fleeing.
Alfred Garland saw him dart downstairs, paused his busy task, straightened up, and asked in a curious tone, "Mr. Vinson, what are you doing?"
Sadam Vinson looked ghostly, didn’t make a sound.
Alfred Garland saw him like this and asked again, "Weren’t you going to find Ms. Quinlan? Is Ms. Quinlan in the shower?"
Sadam Vinson looked suffocated, yet dared not say anything, only shook his head: "Don’t ask. We’re all lonely singles, what’s the point in asking this?"
"Uh..." Alfred Garland actually wanted to say what does that have to do with being single.
Even if he wasn’t single, he wouldn’t dare compete with Amadeus for someone.
Sadam Vinson ignored him, turned away, and thought, feeling aggrieved, how was his luck so good, always catching the couple’s PDA so steadily.
He was just thinking this when a phone call came through.
Sadam Vinson saw the call and instantly became energized, picked it up immediately and walked to his room: "Hello? Tomorrow? I’m free tomorrow. What time?"
"3 PM?" Sadam Vinson closed the door.
The person on the other end of the phone was asking if he was unavailable, as if saying ’If you’re unavailable, I’ll find someone else.’
Sadam Vinson rushed to reserve the time before her asking: "3 PM, I’m free. Where shall we meet?"
Emma Gabehart reported an address.
Sadam Vinson happily noted it down, eagerly arranged: "Then it’s set, I’ll come find you tomorrow."
