The Unveiling of Secret Queen
Chapter 2504: Many Hidden Family Members Will Also Attend
She vaguely heard the other party mention words like ‘small pill’ and ‘miracle doctor’, but it was too far away to hear clearly what the other party was saying.
That person was quite vigilant and quickly noticed she had come down.
Immediately chose to keep silent.
“Grandpa, I’m going upstairs first.” Melda Isadora stood up, not even glancing at Zevaney Kingsley, gently saying to Regina Isadora.
Regina Isadora noticed Zevaney was down, relaxed his previously furrowed brow, and waved to Zevaney: “Come over quickly.”
Meanwhile, he turned his head and seriously said to Melda: “What you just told me, don’t talk about it outside, I will consider it carefully later.”
“I know, I won’t say it outside.” Melda, seeing Zevaney already walking over, said with some embarrassment.
She certainly knew her family had ‘guests’.
However, she’d also heard from the servants about Zevaney’s identity, who was merely a branch member of the Independent Continent Kingsleys Family.
As the most outstanding heir of the Isadora Family generation, Melda certainly looked down on Zevaney for being from a branch.
She was too lazy to communicate with Zevaney, but didn’t dare to disrespect Regina, so chose a lukewarm approach, acting as if she hadn’t seen the other party.
Neither initiative in greeting, nor deliberate coldness.
Regina himself didn’t place Zevaney on the same level as the Isadora Family, so seeing Melda’s behavior, he acted as if he didn’t see it and said with a raised hand: “You can go back.”
Melda passed by Zevaney closely.
Regina didn’t look at Zevaney’s expression, lowered his eyelids, and waved her over again: “Come over.”
This way of greeting seemed like calling for a pet, lacking respect.
Zevaney, however, remained calm, walked over and lightly smiled while calling out: “Mr. Isadora, are you looking for me for something?”
Regina lifted his eyelids, instructed the servant to pour her a cup of coffee, and invited Zevaney to sit down.
Zevaney obediently sat opposite him, legs together, with bright, composed eyes looking at him: “Do you have something you want to tell me?”
“Tonight, the Honeybees Club is hosting a top-tier auction, I want to take you to show up.” Regina had a tea set in front of him and was brewing new tea, his movements fluid and smooth, clearly a tea connoisseur: “This auction isn’t open to just anyone; only those qualified can enter, all top-tier circles from Country M, and many members from Hidden Family will be attending.”
Zevaney perked up upon hearing the mention of Hidden Family, raising her head and listening intently.
Regina poured himself a cup of tea, slowly picked it up, his expression turning gloomy and resentful, seemingly taking a deep breath before reluctantly saying: “You may not be very familiar with the internal situation of Hidden Family since you’ve just arrived here. The Isadora Family isn’t particularly outstanding among Hidden Family… Hidden Family has its own circles. Tonight’s auction is a good opportunity; if you can procure an exhibit, it’ll be easier for me to introduce you to them.”
Zevaney was indeed unfamiliar with the internal situation of Hidden Family, but she wasn’t foolish. Upon hearing Regina’s subtle mention of the Isadora Family’s lack of prominence, she immediately thought of the weapons dealer David’s comment —the Isadora Family is just a marginal family in Hidden Family!
Her eyes sparkled with ambitious glimmers, yet she acted as if she didn’t understand Regina’s vexation and dissatisfaction, softly asking: “Then Mr. Isadora, which exhibit should I bid on?”
