The Villainess Is My Cute Daughter

Chapter 466 - 92 Percent

Chakrams were easy to control because of the specific way Adrian used them. He basically attached a mana thread to the direct center and extended it outward like a spider web before making the disc spin. He didn’t have to fight against physics as he made it move around. The only slight issue was the momentum whenever he tried to make it suddenly turn. But just making it rotate and fly forward wasn’t an issue at all.

But a sword had a tip and a blade that worked on two edges. It wasn’t symmetrical like a chakram.

Aria couldn’t just hold it perfectly in the center. Wielding a sword effectively with telekinesis was basically the exact same as picking up a heavy, long stick by grabbing the very tip of it instead of holding it in the middle. The difference in leverage and momentum was massive.

So after testing it out for hours, Aria ended up deciding against using telekinesis to fight.

No matter which weapon she tried, if it wasn’t considered a weapon of war, she couldn’t use it to stack her buffs. And neither she nor Adrian had the knowledge to invent some brand-new weapon that perfectly bypassed these rules. Even the system didn’t have a proper answer for that loophole.

By the time the sun had fully risen, Adrian pulled Aria out of the dungeon.

Both of them just stared at each other.

Aria couldn’t help but laugh. She pointed a small finger right at Adrian’s face.

"You look like a panda."

Adrian crossed his arms.

"Even you have dark circles. What do you mean?"

Aria grinned. "I can just sleep and it will be fine."

Adrian chuckled.

"Yeah, yeah, sure. Let’s both go sleep and get some good rest."

He tapped his spatial ring. He didn’t just take out one book. He pulled out around ten thick books stacked up on top of each other and handed the heavy pile over to her.

"These are all different martial arts and different ways of using various weapons," Adrian explained. "It also integrates mana breathing into the forms. So while you are swinging your weapons, you can recover mana passively through your core. You won’t have to worry about running out of stamina or mana as much as others."

Aria beamed at him.

"Thank you, Papa."

She placed her hand flat on the top book and instantly sent the entire stack into her own spatial ring.

"Let me just write those three summoning books for you now."

Adrian held his hand up.

"Wait, why don’t we just do this instead? I will send you into the dungeon. It would be nice if you can just use the dungeon link to give me direct access to all of the knowledge you have about summoning."

Aria thought about it for a second.

"Why just take the knowledge about the summoning when you can take everything?"

Adrian looked a little surprised. He gave her a wry, hesitant smile.

"Well, I did think about it. But I didn’t think it was... I felt like I would be going way too far if I just blindly asked you for everything you have ever learned."

Aria just shook her head.

She stepped forward and directly jumped into his embrace, hugging his waist tight.

"You are my father. Why are you treating me like a stranger?"

Her voice slightly shook.

"This is a little painful, Papa."

Adrian immediately felt a heavy wave of guilt hit his chest. He took a deep breath, mentally slapped himself in the face, and reached down to pick her up. He hugged her tight against his chest.

"I am sorry," he muttered softly. "I am just, you know... even in my past life, I never had a child. I don’t exactly know what to do around a kid. And our situation is just way too complicated."

Aria pulled her head back. She lightly headbutted him right in the center of his chest.

"I will bite you."

Adrian’s body immediately stiffened up.

"No, no, no. Don’t bite me. That is going to hurt."

He let out a defeated sigh.

"I apologize. I won’t treat you like a stranger anymore."

He rubbed the back of his neck.

"I mean, just look at it this way. You found out so much about me today while we experimented on your blessing."

Aria nodded firmly against him.

"Yeah, that is exactly what I am trying to say. You are not keeping any secrets from me. So I don’t want to keep any secrets from you either."

Adrian let out another heavy sigh.

"Yeah, I guess. You are not wrong."

He gently patted her back.

"Okay, fine. Let me just send you into the dungeon."

Aria nodded.

He immediately opened the portal and dropped her in.

A few seconds later, she popped right back out onto the grass in front of him.

She instantly stumbled forward. She leaned heavily against Adrian’s leg and grabbed his pants.

"Papa, my head hurts."

Adrian immediately leaned down and picked her up. He gently patted the back of her head as he turned around and started walking back toward his bamboo hut.

"Yeah, don’t worry. It will be fine. Just a little bit of rest and you will feel better."

Adrian walked into the bamboo hut and gently placed Aria right beside Serena who was currently sleeping soundly right beside Claire.

Once he placed Aria down onto the mattress, he lied down beside her. He let out a tired breath, opened up his system screen, and looked at the genetic simulation progress bar.

[Simulation 92% Complete.]

Adrian just stared at the system screen.

’I guess I will just sleep and then check how it went once I wake up.’ he thought to himself.

He dismissed the screen and closed his eyes.

It didn’t take long for Claire to wake up.

When she woke up and looked over to see Aria and Adrian sleeping right there next to Serena, she didn’t bother them too much. She just quietly got out of bed and walked over to the small attached washroom.
