The Wizard's Pursuit of Truth

Chapter 304: Open the Black Sun Ruins, Infect and Replace Komore

  • Next Chapter

Komore watched with a mocking gaze as the black-robed figure stood outside the Vacuum Realm, completely helpless against him.

‘But no matter who you are, I will find out and make you pay the price.’

A few guesses formed in Komore’s mind. A Wizard of such power was unlikely to be from the Outer Zone… The Black Tower wasn’t exactly a harmonious place either; conflicts of interest were constant. It was highly probable that these were people from another faction.

‘Who could it be?’

He considered the Four Great Star Families. The Sack Clan was on good terms with the family backing Qiudongqiu, so the other two families might not be happy to see this situation.

‘Or was this the work of some other faction?’

Komore was genuinely puzzled. As far as he knew, he hadn’t offended anyone or gotten entangled in any conflicts of interest while staying in the Separation Land.

In reality, aboard the Flying Griffin, Wang Ya removed his White Lotus Mask, revealing handsome features and a smile playing on his lips.

The image on the Heart Dream Mirror before him gradually blurred.

His figure then vanished from the Flying Griffin.

…

The anticipated spatial teleportation never occurred.

This made Komore involuntarily open his eyes. The stench of blood filled his nose and throat. It was indeed blood, dripping onto his face. A mangled Victor was lying on top of him, seemingly having shielded him from some fatal blow.

Victor, still barely breathing, weakly opened his mouth to say something, but no sound came out.

Komore’s pupils contracted. Before he could even process the situation, he made out the word “teleport.”

‘Teleport what?’

‘Hadn’t he already used the Vacuum Teleportation?’

‘What in the world was going on?’

Komore subconsciously touched his chest. His beating heart and a familiar sensation told him that the Vacuum Teleportation had not been activated.

His face turned deathly pale, his expression becoming utterly grim.

‘Could it be… that everything he had just experienced was still part of the dream?’

Not a single-layer dream, not a double-layer dream, but a triple-layered Dream Realm.

He had fallen for the enemy’s scheme.

Their target had always been him.

Just as the realization dawned on Komore and he was about to make a move, a cold light flashed, and an excruciating pain shot through his arms.

His arms had been severed at the shoulders.

Blood GUSHED out, drenching his robes.

The black-robed figure wearing the White Lotus Mask had appeared at some unknown point. He stood before Komore, then squatted down and placed a hand over his face.

This was the last image Komore saw before he lost consciousness.

“What should we do with this Extreme Wizard Apprentice?” Kaze Antuun asked.

Kelan Wizard stood nearby. She looked at Wang Ya’s hands, then at the young blond wizard on the ground, a look of realization dawning on her face.

Wang Ya stood up and said with a smile, “Keep them. I have plans for him, and for the Oby Brothers as well.”

“Alright.” Kaze Antuun turned and left to help Big Ben Antuun deal with the Extreme Wizard Apprentice, Oby Gao.

Kelan Wizard let out a soft laugh. “I never would have guessed, Junior Brother. You have so much authority you can even command Kaze Antuun. The Kaze I know is an extremely independent person; not even other Extreme Wizard Apprentices on a mission with him could hope to order him around.”

Wang Ya quietly restored his Particle Energy. He just smiled at her teasing and said, “That’s a secret, Senior Sister Kelan.”

“Everyone has their little secrets. I won’t pry.” Kelan Wizard smiled, turned, and also went to support Big Ben Antuun.

This was the essence of the Black Sun plan.

…

By dawn, the entire Licorice Camp lay in ruins. Residual Energy Flames still burned, but there wasn’t a soul in sight. The silence was absolute.

Perhaps after a few years, once the Witchcraft Energy radiation dissipated, vitality would return, and nature would reclaim the land.

Given the concentration of natural particle energy in the Separation Land, if there were no Wizards, there might even be a chance for Level 1 Extraordinary Creatures to emerge.

Deep in the valley.

Wang Ya and the other three stared at the massive, square-shaped ruins, their eyes filled with amazement. A sense of their own insignificance welled up from the bottom of their hearts.

This was only a corner of the Black Sun Ruins, which had emerged because its Witch Array cycle had connected with the Wizard World to absorb energy.

Once it finished charging, it would return to the void.

This also made it the perfect time to open the Black Sun Ruins.

Big Ben Antuun couldn’t help but steal a few more glances at Wang Ya, only to be stopped by a look from Kaze Antuun.

Wang Ya naturally knew what Big Ben Antuun was curious about; he just wanted to know what the arrangements were for the captured Extreme Wizard Apprentices and the blond wizard.

Naturally, that was something others were not meant to know.

Wang Ya didn’t plan on telling even Kelan Wizard the whole truth.

The fewer people who knew the truth, the safer it was.

‘Bringing the five Black Sun Badges together will open the way.’

Harak, perched on Wang Ya’s shoulder, let out a great yawn, its beak opening wide. Wang Ya flicked his right wrist, and four dark shadows shot out from his sleeve.

Kaze Antuun took out the fifth Black Sun Badge as well.

Instantly, a black luster erupted from the five Black Sun Badges. They seemed to resonate with one another, then shot forward, collided, and fused together before crashing into the giant, square structure.

The transparent spatial ripple seemed to offer no resistance as the five overlapping Black Sun Badges emitted a dark ray of light that sank directly into it.

The next moment, the five badges scattered apart again, having seemingly undergone some kind of transformation.

Wang Ya used his Extraordinary Spiritual Power to envelop two of them.

Kelan Wizard enveloped one.

Big Ben Antuun and Kaze Antuun followed suit, each grabbing a Black Sun Badge.

The moment they grasped the Black Sun Badges, corresponding information was transmitted into their minds.

The Black Sun Badge was both a key and a token. Only by holding it could one pass through the spatial ripple and be accepted by the Black Sun Witch Array, which would then teleport them directly inside the ruins.

Without much hesitation, they all prepared to enter. Everyone present had come for these ruins.

The four of them exchanged a look and stepped into the spatial ripple.
