The Wizard's Pursuit of Truth
Chapter 313 - 193: Special Particle Energy, Expanding in Multiple Directions
[Virtual Laboratory]
[Details: A virtual laboratory constructed from an algorithmic database. It can run simulations of Wizard Experiments to reduce unnecessary resource consumption.]
[Note: The Virtual Laboratory consumes a large amount of Extraordinary Spiritual Power. The consumption rate is determined by the difficulty of the simulated experiment.]
An inky blackness seeped into Wang Ya’s pupils. From his perspective, small lines of text now appeared on everything within the laboratory.
When he looked closely, the text would magnify.
[Target: Small Particle Collider Witchcraft]
[Price: 40,000 Magic Stones]
[Function: Can be used to conduct experiments on the principles of Particle Energy collision, providing Wizards with more ideas and data on particle properties.]
The transformation of the Eye of Truth didn’t just grant him the Virtual Laboratory; its information-gathering Ability had also been enhanced.
Before, he had to carefully observe and actively seek out information.
Now, with a mere thought, he could have the Eye of Truth expand its search parameters.
This was undoubtedly far more convenient.
The appearance of the Virtual Laboratory was what excited Wang Ya the most, as it solved his most pressing problem. Aside from his research on the Evil God’s Heart, his next experiments involved studying the property changes of Special Particle Energy.
He already had a few leads, and now he also possessed the Extraordinary Knowledge Inheritance for Black Sun Particle Energy, Ten Thousand Tribulations Particle Energy, and Wind Shadow Particle Energy.
Using these as references and benchmarks, he was confident he could develop his own unique Special Particle Energy, given enough time.
He couldn’t be sure how long it would take. Simultaneously, experimenting with the properties of Particle Energy was also extremely dangerous.
It was just as Komore had said when evaluating Wang Ya’s two High-tier Witchcrafts—he thought Wang Ya was a madman for compressing such terrifying Fire Elemental Energy and keeping it pressed against his own body. The slightest mistake would trigger a violent explosion, engulfing everything within a hundred meters.
Without a doubt, the first person to die would be the Caster themself.
His *Burning Fire Attachment* and *Flaming Sun Fire Clothing* were, in fact, already forms of Particle Energy property manipulation. The essence of both Witchcrafts was to amplify and compress Fire Element Particle Energy.
If Wang Ya continued to deepen his research in this direction, he might even create something like Flaming Sun Particle Energy.
But that wasn’t the path Wang Ya wanted to take; it was too one-dimensional.
This combination of compression and amplification was the pinnacle of inward focus, possessing enough destructive power on its own to rival a Special Particle Energy.
Its drawback was that it was only effective in close quarters, leaving him very vulnerable at a distance.
Wang Ya had to compensate for this weakness. His Special Particle Energy needed to be well-rounded, with no glaring deficiencies.
Because of this, Wang Ya hadn’t delved deeper into compression and amplification. Instead, he had held back, creating only those two special High-tier Witchcrafts.
The advent of the Virtual Laboratory allowed Wang Ya to freely experiment with the properties of Particle Energy. He could now test collision, diffusion, release, compression, and vibration without restraint.
He didn’t have to worry about failed experiments, damaged Wizard Instruments, or his own life being at risk.
He could even save a vast amount of Extraordinary Resources.
The only drawback, perhaps, was the Virtual Laboratory’s very foundation: its reliance on an algorithmic database.
If Wang Ya ran a virtual experiment on something he couldn’t comprehend, the results could be flawed.
Anything simulated had to be based on information already present in the algorithmic database.
Fortunately, this flaw was a distant concern for Wang Ya. The contents of all the books from the Inner and Outer Zones of the Dark Land Underground Library had already been incorporated into the algorithmic database.
Add to that the inherited knowledge of the Black Sun Wizard and the other Extraordinary Knowledge he acquired in the Land of Inheritance... The Eye of Truth now possessed an incredibly rich database, sufficient to support the vast majority of Wang Ya’s virtual experiments.
Experimenting on the properties of Special Particle Energy was well within its capabilities.
However, the unification of the three parts of the Evil God’s Heart and research into the Blood Rule probably couldn’t be simulated.
But simulating the balance between the illusory and the real, and then applying that knowledge to Harak—that was entirely possible.
No sooner said than done!
The inky ripples in Wang Ya’s pupils grew increasingly complex, threatening to consume them entirely. A massive amount of Extraordinary Spiritual Power poured into his eyes, and his consciousness was pulled from reality, arriving in another place entirely.
A lustrous white glow emanated from walls tiled with countless square panels, the seams between them lined with energy conduits. Bright, square lights shone from the ceiling. Streams of data flowed all around Wang Ya, so tangible he could even reach out and touch them. The whole place felt incredibly futuristic.
’So this is the Virtual Laboratory.’
Wang Ya was the center of it all. The data streams revolved around him, and he instinctively knew how to proceed.
He lightly tapped a finger in the empty space before him.
A torrent of inky data erupted from his fingertip, rapidly spreading out and beginning to transform the special space.
Using his Level 2 Laboratory as a blueprint, a perfect one-to-one replica began to materialize within the Virtual Laboratory.
’Small Particle Collider Witchcraft.’
’Energy Spot Injection Witchcraft.’
’Compressed Low-Frequency Witchcraft.’
...
Wang Ya’s eyes gleamed with excitement. He even reached out and touched the Wizard Instruments; they were completely indistinguishable from their real-world counterparts.
WHIRR!
Energy flowed through the conduits into the corresponding Wizard Instruments, and their control screens began to emit a faint blue glow.
A projection of the operating system appeared before Wang Ya, which he could enlarge, shrink, and use to adjust the frequency and functions of the Wizard Instruments at will.
[Target: Perfect Balance between the Illusory and the Real within the Evil God’s Heart]
[Estimated Decryption Time: 6 years]
[Decryption Level: First Layer]
After the Eye of Truth’s transformation, its decryption function had been enhanced, shortening the required time once again.
It would only take six years to decrypt how the Gendas Evil God achieved that balance between the illusory and the real. If he applied this knowledge to Harak, who shared the same origin, there was a high probability he could help Harak advance into a Level 1 Extraordinary Creature, on par with an Official Wizard.
In Wang Ya’s plan, research on the Evil God’s Heart was something he would let develop naturally.
Six years wasn’t an excessively long time.
His main focus, however, was still the experiment on the property changes of Particle Energy.
He injected his own Particle Energy into the particle collider to conduct a preliminary experiment on its dynamic principles.
The idea that had been forming in his mind began to grow clearer.
He was most skilled with Fire Element Particle Energy and had the highest affinity for it. The path he had chosen was, naturally, the Fire Element Wizard Path.
Thus, his Special Particle Energy would naturally be developed from this foundation.
A conventional change in properties didn’t qualify as a Special Particle Energy; far too many Elemental Wizards could accomplish that.
Only Particle Energy that had undergone a true qualitative transformation could earn the title "special."
Wang Ya started from scratch, dissecting the very essence of Particle Energy.
It began with using Extraordinary Spiritual Power to draw in natural particle energy, which was then integrated into the body to create one’s own individual Particle Energy.
This process was intimately linked to both the Wizard Meditation Method and one’s Extraordinary Spiritual Power.
Once created, however, this Particle Energy would in turn nourish the physical body, creating a benign radiation in tandem with one’s Extraordinary Spiritual Power.
Wang Ya was very familiar with this concept, as the Eye of Truth constantly analyzed the level of this benign radiation.
Other Wizards had to rely on calculations for a rough estimate, and the specific algorithms varied from person to person.
The more meticulous could manage the levels of this benign radiation very well.
The less meticulous, however, could easily over-radiate, causing internal damage or even lesions without realizing it.
Wang Ya’s eyes glinted, his pupils reflecting the faint light flickering inside the instrument as the external energy pressure increased. Under this pressure, the individual particle energy he had injected began to undergo a fundamental change.
This was in reference to the basic and Advanced Extraordinary Knowledge he had once studied: *The Activity and Inertia of Particles*.
Fire Element Particle Energy was in an active state, possessing the highest degree of motion.
A scene from the Secret Realm competition surfaced in Wang Ya’s mind: his battle with the War Body Wizard, Dante Qiuji. The opponent’s Biological Current, generated from his Biological Charge, had reacted with Wang Ya’s Energy Flame, creating the incomparably powerful Blast Thunderfire.
Biological Charge was also in an extremely active state; at times, it was even more volatile than Fire Elemental Particles.
The collision between the two generated enormous kinetic energy.
Kinetic energy exists on both macroscopic and microscopic scales; one could even say it is the basis of the world’s existence. If kinetic energy didn’t exist, matter itself would cease to be.
’If I choose to develop in this direction, could my Special Particle Energy be designed to grant kinetic energy or acceleration Abilities?’ Wang Ya had many ideas, and this was just one of them.
Combining these thoughts with theories from his past life, his mind was exceptionally active. The scope and novelty of his ideas might even surpass those of some Official Wizards.
His second line of thought was to delve deeper into the inherently active nature of conventional Fire Elemental Particles.
The average Elemental Wizard only thought about how to make their Fire Element Witchcraft more powerful or hotter—nothing more than the two paths of explosions and temperature increases.
In other words, creating bigger flames and irresistible temperatures. A slightly more clever Wizard might research a special Witchcraft that combines the two, similar to the fusion of thunder and fire.
In the history of the Dark Land, there was a very famous Official Wizard known as the ’Thunderfire Wizard.’ He developed his Special Particle Energy in just this way, finding a suitable, stable amplification state to create Thunder Fire Particle Energy.
It was incredibly powerful. Any Witchcraft he cast using his particle energy was amplified, resulting in terrifying explosions.
His story, however, was a tragedy.
During one Wizard Experiment, the Thunder Fire Particle Energy within his body went slightly out of control. His entire laboratory was blown to smithereens, and he was unable to escape death.
Other Wizards waited for three days before they dared to enter the ruins of his lab to begin sifting through the rubble.
In the end, they couldn’t find his body, so they simply gathered all the material debris from the lab into a single pile to serve as his grave.
Inside the particle collider, Wang Ya’s attributeless particle energy gradually turned a faint cyan color.
"Particle acceleration has reached Low-tier. The experimenting Wizard is advised to monitor the process to prevent accidents."
The Virtual Laboratory had even simulated the Tower Spirit’s voice; its AI was quite advanced.
Wang Ya’s Spiritual Power enveloped the instrument, and he also had the Eye of Truth observing. It would be difficult for the situation to escalate beyond his control.
Besides, this was just a preliminary experiment using attributeless particle energy.
He had specifically isolated this energy for the test, but he still felt a little nervous, even in the Virtual Laboratory. From his time in the Dark Wizard Academy, the Lower House Library, and even the Land of Inheritance, he had learned of far too many deaths caused by experiments on the properties of Particle Energy.
But as time passed, he grew accustomed to it.
’It’s just particle acceleration. All it does is increase the particles’ active state. It’s no big deal.’
He was still a long way from the point where it would spontaneously form Fire Element Particle Energy.
Higher temperatures, greater power, fiercer flames, more deafening explosions... there was nothing wrong with this philosophy for a Fire Element Wizard. However, Wang Ya’s second line of thought was not a conventional pursuit of these phenomena. The depth he aimed for was something an ordinary Elemental Wizard could never imagine.
