“Could it be... that the mighty calamity... is this afraid... of letting me try?”

This voice was as thin as a mosquito’s buzz.

No, it was even fainter than that, because even with Hamreign’s hearing, she actually had to lean closer before she could hear it.

But the meaning formed by those broken words was comparable to thunder collapsing from the sky, to a volcano erupting.

The shock it brought even made Hamreign produce a moment of doubt.

Had she misheard?

Otherwise, how could this guy, whose entire body only had one mouth left that could still stay hard, still have the courage to say something like this?

Did he know what he was saying?

Her gaze fell on that mouth.

That mouth was still wriggling with difficulty, the corners carrying a faint, almost nonexistent sneer, repeating that sentence.

“The mighty calamity...”

Very good. She had not misheard.

“It seems you really are looking to die.”

At this moment, Hamreign actually nodded very seriously.

In a thousand years, there really had been no second person who could stir up her anger again and again before her like this.

On the level of performance, she had to admit this guy was very talented. At least, after this farce reached this point, she truly had been amused.

But on the level of intelligence.

Unfortunately, that fellow had actually found a brain-damaged fool as a disciple.

“I wonder if she can still piece you back together after I pinch you into piece after piece.”

She hoped she could.

Because she felt that crushing him only once was already not enough to vent her anger.

Boom!

The entire mountain ridge collapsed with a roar.

Hamreign did not even make any obvious movement, yet terrifying power spread out along the ground. All of Annabawei seemed able to feel the trembling of the earth at this moment.

The tall mountain ridge turned into one massive boulder after another, falling downward, only to shatter into dust when they came close to that fiery-red figure. Before Hamreign, these mountain bodies that ordinary people might not be able to carve through even after digging for a lifetime were like blocks of tofu, casually kneaded by her.

Of course, that also included Muen inside.

Blood and flesh mixed with mud, sand, and crushed stone, colliding with each other, tangling with each other. Bone and flesh both became no longer distinct.

Muen was like someone thrown into a blender. To what degree his body would be minced depended entirely on Hamreign’s mood.

Unfortunately, her mood at this moment was very bad.

So bad that she, as the mighty Dragon of Calamity, actually threw a punch at a brat who was not even Crowned.

Boom.

The entire mountain ridge almost completely disappeared. A huge semicircular hollow abruptly appeared in front of Hamreign, and a surging gale poured into the hollow. The smoke and dust that had just spread was blown away in the blink of an eye.

The setting sun... was no longer the setting sun.

Because through the hollow, the complete sun could clearly be seen, still hanging at a position some distance away from the top of the Fog Wall.

The aura within the mud, sand, and crushed stone grew weaker and weaker, until... it completely vanished.

Hamreign also gradually stopped moving.

However, this was not because the punishment had ended here, but because...

“I underestimated you.”

Her punch had pierced through the mountain ridge, even making all of Annabawei tremble.

But to her, there was no real sensation.

Without knowing when it had happened, what she had crushed had only been a pile of ordinary mountain stones.

Or rather, mixed within those mountain stones had only been a pile of ordinary blood and flesh.

She raised her head.

The azure sky, the dim yellow sunset, the pure white clouds... these things that should have existed had all vanished at this moment.

What Hamreign saw now was only a field of emptiness.

It was as if this were a game that had not been fully developed. Farther out past her line of sight, there was nothing at all.

But before that, at the end of the transparent outline, at the boundary between emptiness and spirit... in the very center of it, a black sun hung high above, looking down at her, this calamity.

The sun disk was black and deep, yet a holy corona surrounded it. Amid the interweaving of the strange and the sacred, a certain grand aura spread outward, making all things submit.

“Divine Foundation?”

Hamreign was not frightened by that pressure, much less did she submit. Instead, she raised her sharp brow slightly.

“Interesting.”

This kid... had actually already reached this step?

It seemed that that fellow’s plan had advanced more smoothly than imagined.

“But what can this do?”

Hamreign sneered.

“Don’t tell me you think that with this, you can defeat... or persuade me.”

“...”

There was no answer.

Or rather, there was originally no “person” existing here.

Only, after Hamreign’s disdainful words spread out, the black sun in the sky suddenly began to roar, grinding bit by bit in a clockwise direction.

Whoosh.

Black flames suddenly swayed over the surface of Hamreign’s body.

Skin as fair as jade formed a sharp contrast with the pitch-black flames, as if a sheet of white paper were about to be polluted by thick black ink.

But Hamreign merely stretched out her hand and waved lightly, as if brushing dust from her body, and those pitch-black flames that burned everything and devoured everything actually fell away just like that.

Her skin was still fair, without even the slightest trace left behind.

“This flame is terrifying, yes, but it still needs ‘contact’ before it can take effect.”

Hamreign said, “As long as I cut off the ‘medium,’ you can do nothing to me.”

“...”

“Oh, right. I forgot you still have not reached that level yet. You fundamentally cannot freely control the ‘medium,’ and you are even farther from a true god by a hundred and eight thousand miles. If I had not been pulled into this kind of place by you, these black flames would not even have the qualification to approach me.”

Hamreign raised her hand. Compared to the black sun above the emptiness, her excessively fair arm was so small, yet she spread her five fingers and aimed them at the black sun, as if she intended... to hold the black sun in her palm!

Buzz!

Buzz!

Buzz!

The black sun was grinding. The pure white sacred corona flowed, and the boundless black flames turned into a sea of fire that covered the heavenly curtain. That crimson figure was nothing more than a mustard seed within the sea of flames, but when that jade-like hand lifted, it easily held up the entire sea of flames!

The black sun’s grinding became slower and slower. Tiny cracks even began appearing at the edge of the emptiness. The entire space began trembling, as if a terrifying storm were raging within it, and everything became unsteady and swaying.

The grinding of the black sun had no effect at all. Instead, that newborn black sun was almost directly crushed by Hamreign.

Dong!

Suddenly, the sound of a bell rang.

Hamreign fell into a trance for an instant, then came back to herself. She discovered that she seemed to have suddenly returned to the time when she had first been pulled into this place. The black sun in the sky had regained its pressure. The black flames continued like a sea, suppressing downward and blotting out the sky and sun.

“Time was reversed?”

Hamreign immediately realized what had happened.

“On his own territory, he can indeed reduce consumption to the minimum. But... is this guy thinking of building his mental space toward the embryonic form of a divine kingdom? To actually have this kind of awareness—is this also that fellow’s guidance?”

Hamreign frowned. She sensed a trace of disharmony. This human’s progress, in broad terms, indeed all followed the blueprint that fellow had designed, but within it, there seemed to be some other existence’s handiwork.

At least, that fellow would absolutely not guide her own disciple completely in the direction of becoming a “god.” Hamreign knew what that meant.

“Great Black Sun...”

Hamreign’s thoughts were suddenly interrupted. A praying voice sounded.

Beneath the black sun, in the distant Kingdom capital, Saint Blancfazesiya.

A petite girl, wearing a broad ceremonial crown robe, seemed to sense something. She suddenly knelt down and prayed devoutly.

And behind her was a large number of believers who knelt down together like a tide.

Boom!

The black sun suddenly expanded, and the entire space stabilized once again. That supreme and majestic aura increased by several degrees out of thin air, pushing the curtain of the pitch-black sea of flames downward bit by bit!

“And there are actually believers?”

Hamreign became even more stunned, then quickly reacted.

That was right. To reach this degree, believers were the most basic thing.

She had simply not expected that with this human’s own strength being this weak, where had he tricked, cheated, abducted, and swindled so many believers from?

Could it be that the continent had already fallen to this degree now, where even a weak chicken who was not even Crowned could become a charlatan and fool people into faith?

“Interesting. It seems that while I was chasing those guys, some things I did not expect happened in the human kingdoms.”

The black sun.

Divine Foundation.

A mental space faintly developing toward the embryonic form of a divine kingdom.

On top of that, this number of believers, which was not small and already comparable to some unpopular faiths.

One after another, they had indeed somewhat exceeded her expectations, and also slightly aroused her interest.

Overall, this black sun had now finally reached the point where Hamreign would look at it properly.

And so.

She stood there, yet the aura of her entire person suddenly surged upward with a roar!

She no longer suppressed her dragon might, allowing it to expand outward and impact this empty world!

“Come.”

Her slender jade-like hand turned once again toward the grinding black sun.

The dragon who still remained in human form smiled coldly, yet faintly, there was inevitably a little more anticipation within it.

“Human, let me see exactly how far you can go.”
