"You're not a mage at all! You're a warrior!"

Even amid the extreme pain, Huggins still could not endure this humiliation and roared in grief and fury.

For this operation to completely eradicate the problem, he had calculated everything.

His opponent's strength, trump cards, outside assistance, even the possibility of his opponent suddenly exploding with power at a critical moment.

That was precisely why he had arranged so much.

Although calculations ultimately could not compare with reality, and that terrifying scene just now had indeed plunged him into despair and even caused him to give up resisting for a moment, he still did not think it was his fault.

The entire reason was that woman had been too despicable and shameless, hiding things from him......that's right, it was all that woman's fault!

But he never expected......

What magical ability far beyond his own?

What Enhancement Magic that surpassed common sense?

None of that......existed at all!

What existed was nothing more than a pure warrior, a pure brute, using some strange method to pretend to be a mage in a place like the Origin Tower!

And he had even pretended so convincingly that he had fooled the entire Origin Tower, and even Huggins himself!

Despicable!

A warrior pretending to be a mage inside the Origin Tower so that his opponent would use methods meant for dealing with mages against him—what difference was there between that and a scumbag pretending to be gay so he could get closer to beautiful girls and then trick them into sleeping with him?

Too despicable!

Huggins was so furious that even the pain in his body became less distinct.

For the first time, when it came to shamelessness, he actually felt ashamed of his own inferiority.

"Who exactly are you?"

Huggins gritted his teeth and glared hatefully at Muen:

"You're definitely not her disciple. She would never accept a pure warrior as her disciple. Who exactly are you?"

"I already told you......"

Muen sighed helplessly. "What do you mean, a pure warrior? Didn't you see how incredible my illumination magic was?"

"Bullshit!"

Huggins spat. "What kind of mage only knows illumination magic? Don't look down on mages too much. Even the lowest-level apprentice can use something like illumination magic!"

"Oh?"

Muen tilted his head, easily dodging the spit Huggins sent flying toward him, and said with a half-smile, "Then you can definitely use the illumination magic I just used too, right?"

"......"

Huggins choked.

The image of hundreds upon thousands of magical arrays operating simultaneously once again surfaced in his mind......although, now that he thought about it, those magic-power pathways had not been disguised at all and had simply been running around in complete nonsense, being able to maintain such a spectacular scene without anyone seeing through it......

Honestly, he could not do it.

No normal person could possibly do it either......

Who the hell trained trash-tier magic like illumination magic to this degree?

Did he have nothing better to do?

"See? In the end, your horizons are simply too narrow. You cannot comprehend the profundity of the path taken by a Magic Master like me."

Muen's expression was arrogant, his words overflowing with pride in his own illumination magic.

Without question, he was now a genuine Magic Master!

These people simply could not understand the loneliness of standing at such heights, so jealousy arose in their hearts!

"......"

Looking at Muen solemnly spouting complete nonsense, Huggins once again felt that this man's shamelessness had refreshed both his understanding and his bottom line.

He was now extremely curious what kind of teacher could possibly produce a disciple like this.

If even the disciple was this shameless, then the teacher had to be an even greater disgrace to the magical world!

"All right. Looks like you're still unconvinced by me, but it doesn't matter. You'll find out who I am soon enough."

Muen reached out a hand. "For now......I'll take you to meet that old acquaintance you've been longing for so much. I'm sure they'll be very happy."

"You......"

Huggins's expression abruptly changed. He realized something and once again began struggling with all his strength.

But at this point-blank distance, even though he was a Truth-Rank Grand Mage, there was nothing he could do against the demonic claw Muen was reaching toward him.

Muen reached out and lightly pinched the back of his neck.

Huggins's entire body immediately went limp as he lost consciousness.

"Hm?"

At that moment, just as Muen was about to catch Huggins's body, he saw the strange eye floating above his head flash with dim light.

The surrounding darkness instantly receded.

The radiance of magic stones and candlelight once again illuminated the surroundings. Muen raised his head and saw that familiar corridor stretching into the distance.

It was very quiet around him.

There was not a single person in sight.

Naturally, no one would come disturb a place Huggins had so carefully chosen.

But when Muen lowered his head again, he discovered that Huggins had somehow disappeared.

All that remained in his hand was that strange eye, seemingly carved from jade yet impossibly lifelike.

The strange eye glanced at him before closing, as though nothing had happened and everything had merely been Muen's hallucination.

"We're out? I see. So that void space isn't an independently existing space. It really is a land of nothingness within the gaps between worlds......similar to those places I passed through before when I hitched a ride with Miss Dragon?"

Muen toyed with the Void Eye and quickly figured out the situation:

"This eye is actually more like a door—a door leading into the void. As long as you're caught in its gaze, you'll be dragged through that door."

"No wonder Huggins dared to attack so boldly. Once someone is dragged into the land of nothingness, everything happens entirely within the void. It won't affect the real world, and it won't leave behind any traces."

"You don't even need to dispose of the corpse. It's practically an essential tool for murder and robbery."

"The only problem is......"

Muen activated the Void Eye again.

The surroundings were once more covered in pitch-black darkness. He glanced at Huggins floating before him, then suddenly moved several hundred meters in a certain direction.

Then, with a slight movement of his consciousness, he exited the void space once again.

Flickering candlelight still illuminated the side of Muen's face.

Muen looked around and discovered that he was still standing in that same corridor. It even seemed as though his feet had not moved at all.

"This eye is only a 'door.' You can only enter and exit from the same place, so it can't be used as a tool for escaping......what a pity."

As a publicly acknowledged good man of Belrand, what Muen valued most was naturally not its usefulness for murder and robbery, but whether it could help him make a quick getaway.

After all, being able to freely travel through the void was not some heaven-defying ability.

But if one could also move freely while inside the void, that would truly make it a divine tool for escaping.

Mom would never again have to worry about me being chased by some strange Evil God, or getting trapped in a romantic bloodbath with no way out!

......What a pity.

"This thing won't be all that useful in my hands anyway. When it comes to killing people, robbing them, and leaving no traces behind, my Black Flame and divine kingdom aren't any worse. The only thing I could really use it for would be forcing a one-on-one fight......no, that's not right either. The Void Eye seems to forcibly pull everyone within its line of sight into the void? Then it can't really be called a forced one-on-one fight."

Muen rubbed his chin and felt that this thing did not seem quite as useful as he had imagined at first.

Sure enough, an ancient artifact without any special conditions or cost of use would not have an effect that was too heaven-defying.

"But......now that I think about it carefully, doesn't this thing seem perfect for a certain someone? No, not just perfect. It's practically custom-made for her."

The image of a certain flat-chested figure who loved nothing more than robbing robbers and collecting treasure surfaced in Muen's mind......

In his hands, this thing would at most be a special spatial magical device.

But for her, it would be nothing less than a heaven-sent divine artifact.

It could provide an entire one-stop service of killing, arson, robbery, and hiding treasure, all without leaving behind any traces. If this had fallen into the hands of the old her, back when she lacked practically everything, her growth speed would have increased by at least thirty percent because of it!

"Huh? Wait, heaven-sent?"

Muen suddenly realized something:

"In that case......was Huggins actually looking for her too? Did I seriously take the bullet for her for absolutely no reason from beginning to end?"
