This High Martial World is Too Crazy!!!
Chapter 135 - 134: Smashing Everything
A universe-shaking roar erupted from the very center of the plains.
Wang Peng felt a searing pain across his face. Fang Can's fist had just shattered his nose.
But his own punch had landed a more devastating blow. He could clearly feel, through the contact with Fang Can's cheek, that his Gang Qi had already riddled the brain behind it with fissures.
'I won!' Ignoring the searing pain in his own face, Wang Peng breathed a sigh of relief.
He'd finally killed this freak. He didn't know what had driven the man mad, but no one could survive a punch like that…
As he was thinking, a left hand seized his head as it recoiled and yanked it forward.
Then, a voice, haunting as a vengeful spirit, rang out by his ear.
"Again!"
BOOM!
Another full-power right fist landed, and Wang Peng's mind went blank for a split second.
His eyes opened to see the face before him, covered in a spiderweb of cracks, staring back with crimson eyes.
The meaning in Fang Can's eyes was perfectly clear.
'If you don't kill me today, then you can wait for me to kill you!'
"Again!"
With another great roar, both men threw a punch at the same time.
Amidst billowing waves of air, they grabbed each other's heads and struck again with their right fists.
This time, they held nothing back. Both had become completely ruthless, unleashing the most powerful force they could muster upon each other's bodies.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
In a mere instant, neither dodged nor evaded, instead choosing to bombard each other in the most frenzied and savage way imaginable.
Each had his own source of confidence.
Wang Peng firmly believed that with his superior physique, he would never lose to Fang Can in a head-on brawl. Victory was within his grasp.
Fang Can, on the other hand, was certain that Wang Peng couldn't kill him now.
At this moment, an unprecedented scene unfolded on the plains.
The surrounding Martial Artists and the court officials watching through the water mirror were all completely dumbfounded.
A Profound Gate Ninth Layer was trading injuries with a First Turn Martial Artist of the Heaven-Ascending Road?
After one punch, Fang Can's skull cracked and his brain turned to mush. He threw another punch.
After ten punches, Fang Can's skull shattered, brain matter squeezing out of the shell. He still threw another punch.
After a hundred punches, most of Fang Can's head was gone, with only a small fragment remaining atop his neck. But still, he threw another punch.
'Why won't you die! Why aren't you dead yet!'
Wang Peng's face was completely caved in. Under the barrage of Fang Can's fists, his skin had burst open and his bones had shattered, revealing glimpses of the brain hidden behind his cheek.
Theoretically, Wang Peng's injuries were far less severe than Fang Can's, but the psychological pressure was immensely greater.
He no longer knew what kind of monster he was fighting.
And in the face of his madness, Fang Can remained silent, simply continuing to throw punch after punch.
Every punch with all his might! Every punch breaking the sound barrier! Every punch without fear of death!
His previous evasions were merely a temporary measure due to his lack of strength.
Now that his body's transformation was complete and he wouldn't shatter at the slightest touch, what need was there for technique?
He would obliterate his opponent into dust with the most savage display of force imaginable.
So what if his organs were pulped?
So what if his neck was snapped?
So what if his skull was smashed to bits?
A severed head could grow back! A vat of boiling oil was like a warm bath! A disemboweled torso would regenerate completely!
Ignoring all his opponent's attacks, in this mutual slaughter, Fang Can was simply savoring the pleasure of brutalizing his enemy.
No war drums were needed; the sounds of their bodies clashing in a fight to the death were the finest instruments.
Amidst this frenzied atmosphere, by the 145th punch, Wang Peng's spirit had completely collapsed.
Staring at the man before him—everything above the neck completely gone, yet still roaring through his trachea and punching with his right hand—he finally snapped.
In a moment of hesitation, Wang Peng tried to retreat, to turn and flee from this madman.
But just as he turned his head, a powerful hand gripped his shoulder.
The headless Fang Can spoke from behind Wang Peng, his voice a chilling hiss from his windpipe, "The fight isn't over. Where do you think you're going?"
"Come on! Look at me, you bastard!"
With a furious roar, Fang Can's speed increased another notch. He violently dragged Wang Peng's fleeing body back, and his right fist, carrying the force of a landslide, smashed into his face once more.
This battle had been started by Wang Peng, but the power to end it was not in his hands.
The violent booming continued for a full ten minutes before Fang Can finally released his right hand, which had been broken into more than a dozen pieces.
Wang Peng had lost all signs of life seven minutes ago. The remaining time was just Fang Can pulverizing the corpse, reveling in the catharsis of unleashing his power.
In his grasp was a mush of flesh and blood, no longer recognizable as a human form.
Releasing his grip, he dropped Wang Peng's remains into the ten-meter-deep crater.
An extreme sense of exhaustion washed over him, and Fang Can's entire body ached.
He subconsciously reached up to scratch his head, only to touch empty air. Only then did he remember that his head had been blown to bits.
His chest heaving violently, he slowly collapsed into the crater, feeling a phantom limb pain from his destroyed head, as if it were on fire.
The surroundings were filled with a soundless quiet.
This was partly because everyone was too stunned to speak, and partly because Fang Can's ears had been sacrificed in the battle, leaving him to perceive the outside world only through vibrations.
'A First Turn... was actually beaten to death by a Profound Gate Ninth Layer.'
The surrounding Martial Artists were in disbelief, feeling as if they were witnessing an ancient legend come to life.
They had just personally witnessed a feat that, in the ancient legends, only Martial Artists worthy of being recorded in heroic epics could achieve.
After ascending the Soaring Dragon list, Fang Can's name was now certain to be at the top of the Hidden Dragon list.
Meanwhile, his believers couldn't care less about any of that. Seeing the battle was over, they surged forward in a great rush, each one staring at their god's broken body with a mixture of fanaticism and worry.
Fang Can was oblivious to all of this.
With his bones ground to dust, his internal organs riddled with holes and fissures, and his spine flailing about, he prepared to sleep.
He believed that by the time he woke up, his head would have probably grown back on its own.
Back in the imperial court, the officials still hadn't processed that the fight was over.
Watching it all end, seeing Fang Can's current state, their eyes twitched. 'He's still not dead after all that?!?'
At this moment, they were utterly convinced of his number one rank in immortality. To kill a First Turn expert by relying purely on being unkillable… what the hell kind of monster was he?
But they quickly came to their senses and realized they had to go and heal him immediately.
"Quick, teleport me over there! Let me heal him!" one of the court officials roared. "Any later and it'll be too late!"
He was worried that if he waited any longer, Fang Can's head might grow back on its own. How could he curry favor and put the man in his debt then?
The next moment, a senior court official nodded lightly, and with a wave of his hand, sent the man over.
Using the teleportation array, the court official's body vanished and reappeared on the plains where Fang Can lay.
Giving Fang Can no time to recover on his own, he pressed the healing light in his hand directly onto his body.
The next moment, the slumbering Fang Can felt a tingling itch on his neck. His brain was starting to grow back.
