This High Martial World is Too Crazy!!!
Chapter 355: Impure World Reincarnation
‘A third Martial World War?’
In front of over a dozen Fourth Turn masters, Fang Can made his official declaration: he would start a war all by himself.
“You actually intend to declare war on all our nations?” The Emperor of Chu’s expression grew grim. “With just you and the Great Derivation?”
“No, no, no. It’s just me,” Fang Can said, spreading his hands with a casual air. “The Great Derivation is merely my battlefield. They will not be participating.”
“The chorus of nations is too shrill. If you lose, then from this day forward, the nations will become a thing of the past. There will be only one country, one voice.”
“The battle will officially begin in three days. All of you had better abide by the rules.” Fang Can’s tone was leisurely. “I’m already exercising great restraint by not killing you. I hope you can follow the rules as well.”
Fang Can looked at Naruto Uzumaki and said, “You’re talking a bit too much. It seems the mental brand I placed on you still can’t suppress your original personality. Take me away from here.”
As soon as he finished speaking, Naruto Uzumaki’s eyes went vacant, and he moved to teleport Fang Can away.
But the surrounding Fourth Turn masters weren’t about to let that happen.
In an instant, the Emperor of Chu gently curled his finger. His Heart Image within him materialized, forming a spiraling spike that shot toward Naruto Uzumaki amidst a roar of wind and thunder, threatening to run him through.
He wasn’t the only one. To prevent Naruto Uzumaki from taking Fang Can away, seven Fourth Turn masters attacked at once.
They unleashed their most ferocious assaults, some targeting Fang Can, others Naruto Uzumaki!
These were several Fourth Turn masters, the top experts among the nations, each a hegemon in their own right.
Now, they had joined forces. Merely from them gathering their power, the surrounding air began to shriek, and the very color of the sky and earth seemed to shift.
But in that same instant, without Fang Can so much as twitching, his Stand had already dissolved into the wind.
The next moment, an invisible power spread out as the Stand split into seven, one to face each of the seven attackers.
“ROAR—”
The burly Fourth Turn master who had tanked the thunderstorm earlier let out a bellow, seeming as immense as a towering Ancient God.
The earth for a thousand li beneath his feet lent him its strength, converting its immense gravity into power that surged through his body like a tsunami.
Wielding this world-ending might, the Fourth Turn master’s fist shot out like a massive, unstoppable comet, blasting toward the surrounded Fang Can.
But what awaited them was the Stand’s even more overwhelming counterattack.
BOOM—
Amidst an eardrum-shattering tremor, most of the Fourth Turn masters coughed up blood and were sent flying, carving yet another wide trench through the mangled ruins.
Only two of them, masters who specialized in defense and raw power, barely managed to withstand the Stand’s assault.
‘How is this possible?’
The remaining Fourth Turn masters who had yet to attack froze in disbelief, their bodies stiffening on the spot. Through it all, Fang Can hadn’t moved a muscle.
“Whether it’s one ant or seven, to me, you’re all just trash that can be crushed at will.”
Fang Can folded his arms, his voice laced with contempt. “If I didn’t want to make this war game a little more entertaining, you would’ve all been crushed the moment we met.”
“Dance to your heart’s content in the coming slaughter, you ants. Struggle with all your might against the death I bring.”
As he spoke, Naruto Uzumaki walked up to him.
He placed a hand on Fang Can’s shoulder and activated the Flying Thunder God Technique. Their figures blurred, and then they vanished, leaving only devastation in their wake.
‘Such power…’
Standing amidst the ruins, the Fourth Turn masters’ expressions were incredibly grim.
“Pah—” The burly Fourth Turn master spat out a mouthful of blood, his eyes filled with the bitter humiliation of being sent flying. “I haven’t even used my full strength yet. It won’t be so easy for him next time we meet.”
“Enough. Let’s go back and prepare,” a lean, middle-aged Fourth Turn master said. “If he hadn’t left just now, and a real fight had broken out, at least half of us would have died here, even if we’d used our heritage abilities.”
“He’s clearly serious about this war,” Ye Hao said. “I fear the Fourth Turn Priest’s prophecy is about to come true. It will be another mountain of corpses and a sea of blood. I wonder how many Fourth Turn masters will die this time.”
“If he wants a war, then a war he shall have,” the Emperor of Chu sneered. “Giving us three days to prepare… he really does treat war like a child’s game.”
“Things are completely different from three months ago! Three days is enough time to mobilize most of the major sects. It’s about time those old Fourth Turn fossils who’ve been hiding in the shadows came out for some fresh air.”
“He wants a fight! Then we’ll give him one! We’ll see who comes out on top in the end!”
A Fourth Turn master climbing out of the rubble sneered, but his voice was thick with undisguised fury after the humiliation of being buried in the dirt.
…
While the Fourth Turn masters were talking, deep underground in the outskirts of the Great Derivation, countless antique coffins stood upright. Lying on the ground were innumerable unconscious men and women.
An invisible ripple emanated from Feng Qiaoyan’s hand, enveloping the head of an unconscious man before her and instantly wiping his mind of its vast repository of memories.
Her superpower was called “Mental Bomb,” and it allowed her to destroy a person’s memories with a single touch.
Earlier that day, Fang Can had sought her out while she was cultivating and asked her to erase the memories of the Martial Artists from the Heaven-Ascending Road.
As for the purpose of erasing their memories…
Feng Qiaoyan’s gaze shifted to the right. A square-jawed, middle-aged man was pressing his hand to the forehead of one of the Martial Artists whose memories had just been wiped.
This square-jawed man was, of course, the King of Hacks, who was borrowing the abilities of the King of Willpower.
As he injected vast quantities of new memories into the Martial Artists’ minds, their bodies began to undergo visible transformations.
No matter how many times she saw it, Feng Qiaoyan was amazed by what Martial Artists were capable of. The mind was paramount, far more important than the physical body.
Beside him, a Second Turn Martial Artist’s features shifted, transforming him into a sturdy, black-haired man with a simple, honest-looking face.
“You shall be called Agni,” the King of Hacks said, chuckling to himself. “Your heritage is the Eternal Flame. As long as your will remains, your flame will never die.”
“Perfect. Go lie in a coffin with the other Second Turns, Jinmu Yan and Allen!”
At the King of Hacks’ command, Agni’s body moved like a puppet, walking dispassionately into a massive, triple-wide coffin.
With a tremendous BOOM, the coffin lid slammed shut!
WHOOSH—
Fang Can and Naruto Uzumaki appeared on a pre-drawn teleportation sigil.
Looking at the King of Hacks, Fang Can asked, “How are the soldiers coming along?”
“Perfectly. With help from the Mental Bomb ability to wipe the Martial Artists’ memories clean, injecting new ones has become much easier.”
The King of Hacks gave him a thumbs-up. “The only problem is that we only have one Fourth Turn Martial Artist. That’s not nearly enough.”
“No matter. The enemy is our granary. The longer the war drags on, the larger our army will become. The main issue now is the grunts. We have too few First Turn units to use as cannon fodder.”
“Over the next three days, I’ll go capture a few tens of thousands of players for research.”
“Their immortal bodies are quite interesting. I’m going to see if I can wipe their consciousness.”
