This Is What a Villain Is Like

Chapter 394 - 139: How Dare a Mere Barbarian Wild God Be So Insolent; He Is Truly Reliable

  • Next Chapter

The Blood Immortal Sect had paid a tremendous price to secretly transport so many Barbarian experts here.

Several figures stood within the thick, bloody mist, watching the scene unfold with cold sneers on their faces.

"These are all Life Souls the Blood Immortal Sect collected long ago through blood sacrifices. After death, each wisp of Life Soul was subjected to endless torment, filling them with savagery and resentment. They now cling to the body of the Bone Demon, filled with hatred for all living beings."

"To sabotage this Southern Hunting exercise, who knows how many cities the Blood Immortal Sect has secretly slaughtered..."

The court ministers on the high platform were shaken, then filled with incandescent rage. The actions of the Blood Immortal Sect were an offense to both heaven and humanity.

Deep within the sky, countless Treasure Bottles and pools brimming with blood appeared, bobbing in the air. They rained down billions of bloody rays of light amidst the surging mist. One after another, the figures of Blood Immortal Sect masters faded in and out of view, chanting some unknown Spell.

The blood within those Treasure Bottles and pools was being seared by a great fire born from the Void. It constantly evaporated, transforming into an even thicker, churning mist of blood that began to corrode the barrier of the Qianyuan Cave Realm, attempting to destroy the grotto-heaven artifact.

This bloody mist contained a terrifying corrosive power. Wherever it touched, the Void itself began to SIZZLE, like snow under a blazing sun.

The surrounding mountains, rocks, and ancient trees were even more fragile. The instant the mist touched them, they ignited with a SIZZLE and were silently reduced to a puff of black flame, dissipating into dust.

This scene caused everyone’s expression to change drastically in shock.

"This is the Blood Immortal Sect’s Blood Erosion Locking Array! It first seals the world’s essential energies, then destroys the ley lines and the flow of Spiritual Energy. Is the Blood Immortal Sect trying to destroy the Qianyuan Cave Realm so that the descending phantom of the Barbarian God will appear in the Imperial Capital to carry out a massive slaughter?"

"If they succeed, it’s tantamount to striking at our very heart! The Imperial Capital is the center of the Great Xia’s commerce, government, power, and influence. How can we allow it to be destroyed?"

Enraged, many of the ministers took action. Their immense auras surged as they charged forward to battle the Blood Immortal Sect’s experts.

BOOM!!!

The heavens shook and the earth trembled as terrifying fissures split open the ground.

A ferocious aura, seemingly powerful enough to sweep across the world, descended. Wuganya, who had swallowed the Barbarian God Pill, was still expanding. He grew from the size of a mountain to become like a terrifying city of flesh and blood.

His eyes were like Bihu Lake, filled with savagery and Evil Qi. His arms were as thick as mountain ranges. With a single forward slap, the sky began to RUMBLE and shake as if being battered by furious waves.

It seemed the entire Qianyuan Cave Realm could not bear his power. At this moment, even the Seventh Realm experts felt a tremor of fear, their hearts pounding in their chests.

Zhao Tianhe, currently battling an expert from the Blood Immortal Sect, was struck by this ferocious aura. His mind went into a BUZZING chaos, as if a lawless Fierce Beast were roaring inside his head, threatening to devour his very consciousness.

As an accomplished Great Scholar, he reacted instantly. He bit the tip of his tongue and circulated his Vast Righteous Qi, trying to clear his mind.

But the Blood Immortal Sect expert would not let such a golden opportunity pass. With a cold sneer, he simply flicked his hand, and an endless torrent of blood-red light surged to engulf him, its buzzing drone overwhelming the sky.

On closer inspection, one would see that the blood-red light was actually a swarm of living insects. They were each the size of a grain of rice, but their mouthparts were utterly horrific, covered in barbs capable of destroying a Great Scholar’s Righteous Domain.

Zhao Tianhe let out a muffled grunt, forced to divert his energy to defend against this attack.

But a moment later, a brilliant flash of a saber cleaved down. A sturdy, imposing figure appeared by his side, clad in armor and a cloak, wielding a long saber with a valiant air. It was none other than Prince Zhenbei, Xiao River. He had entered the fray.

"Thank you for your assistance, Your Highness," Zhao Tianhe said gratefully.

Prince Zhenbei had been honed in the army for years and possessed vast combat experience. Though he had not yet reached the Eighth Realm, his power and cultivation were far beyond what Zhao Tianhe could match.

The moment he appeared, he turned the tables, completely suppressing the Blood Immortal Sect expert. The afterimages from their battle were world-shaking, powerful enough to sunder mountains and crack the earth, a display of astonishing might.

However, another figure, wreathed in surging blood-red light, soon charged in from a different direction to provide aid. The Blood Immortal Sect had once nearly unified the entire Nine Provinces Land; its foundations and power were terrifying. Now, making a resurgence, it was already showing signs of its former intimidating might.

There were a full four Seventh Realm masters present in the Qianyuan Cave Realm alone.

Many of the ministers were inwardly terrified. ’This force could easily annihilate some of the more powerful Immortal Sects,’ they thought. ’How did these Blood Immortal Sect experts even manage to sneak in?’

’Perhaps there are remnants of the Blood Immortal Sect lying dormant among us right now...’

Emperor Xia remained expressionless, but even he was shaken to see the depth of the Blood Immortal Sect’s power and resources.

’If I include the experts causing chaos in the Imperial Palace, then the number of Seventh Realm masters from the Blood Immortal Sect lurking in the Imperial Capital this time is definitely seven or more.’

’But for now, the most urgent threat to deal with is the phantom of the Barbarian God...’

Although various ministers and many Elders from the Immortal Sects had already moved to attack, attempting to sever the channel for its descent, their power seemed far too weak compared to the might of the descending Barbarian God. They could not make much of a difference.

Regardless, the Barbarian God was a god, after all—a tyrannical being capable of tearing through Different Dimension Space-Time.

To guide even a wisp of its phantom here, the Barbarian Race must be performing a grand sacrificial ritual at this very moment in their tribal lands, hundreds of millions of miles away.

Furthermore, the body the Barbarian God’s phantom was descending into already possessed strength comparable to a Seventh Realm expert of the Human Race. It had previously caused a great disturbance on the borders of the Southern Wilderness Province, and in the end, it was the female God of War, Xia Jin, who had to intervene to grievously wound and capture it.
