As Akasha glanced over his status menu, he found it hard to keep his mind entirely on the information.
Truth be told, he already knew everything was in order.
Not much had truly shifted—except for one thing: his power over Dreams had been completely redefined.
In fact, Akasha had essentially crafted his own interpretation of what "Dreams" meant.
For as long as anyone could remember, within the vast expanse of Pantheos, Dreams had never been tied to creation or imagination, but to Potential itself.
This was precisely why Akasha could only manifest items through his Domain, as such acts fell outside the bounds of what Dreams were understood to be.
Had he followed the path that Dreams originally laid out, his mastery over Potential might have reached the point where he became potential itself—or at least a variation of it.
But now, with the power of Elsewhere at his command, Akasha could not only create, shape, and direct Potential as he pleased, but also dream anything into existence, no matter where he was or what situation he faced.
At this stage, he was no longer merely navigating the path of controlling potential—he had already claimed mastery over it.
What lay ahead was a journey toward something greater... freedom.
And yet, despite all of this—his new physique, Sage’s evolution—his attention drifted back to the woman seated across from him, and the weight of her last words lingered in his mind.
Akashi sat casually, her bowl resting in her lap.
Juice from a pineapple wedge clung to the corner of her mouth, and she licked it away without haste.
Akasha watched her in silence for a long moment after glancing at his Status.
Even now, he couldn’t explain the warmth radiating from her, but instead of waiting and trying to make sense of it, he finally spoke again.
"What did you mean?" he asked, watching her reach for a grape. "Who else could possibly be waiting to see my upgrades?"
Akasha didn’t care much for mystery, especially when it involved something as sacred as his Status information.
There were only a handful of people he knew could see it—Luna and Yume for certain—and he suspected his mother, as well as perhaps the creators he’d been notified about, might also have access.
But if there was some other entity he wasn’t aware of, that was definitely something he felt needed to be brought into the open.
At his words, Akashi merely smiled as she chewed a grape.
"I know my baby boy isn’t so dense," she said with a chuckle, reaching for another grape.
"I was talking about your readers..."
Akasha’s brow lifted instantly at the words, and it didn’t take a genius to grasp their meaning. Besides, he had always suspected his mother was some powerful figure...
’So... you mean to tell me,’ he thought, ’that I’m actually a Main Character?’
The idea had never really crossed his mind, not even with all the mystery surrounding his mother.
If he was the Main Character, then who—or what—was she?
He took a deep breath, but before he could speak, she was already nodding, black hair slipping forward as she bit into another piece of fruit.
"Right... you’re a Main Character," she said with a faint smile.
On her shoulder, Aethea’s feathers tightened, her layered eyes shifting from the woman on the couch to the son across from her.
’Fufufu~ She’s not hiding a single thing, is she?’ Aethea mused, not the least bit surprised anymore.
She had long since noticed just how deeply Akashi adored and doted on her son, and now that she finally had the chance to sit down with him in person—and even make amends...
Aethea knew there wasn’t a shred of information Akashi would withhold.
’Well, he would’ve found out one way or another,’ she thought with a faint sigh. Her reflections were interrupted as Akashi’s voice rang out again.
"You’re the main character of your own story," Akashi remarked between bites. "Three Divine Wishes, or something along those lines."
In that moment, Akasha glanced at his mother, who continued eating her pineapples and grapes with casual ease, her gaze fixed on his abyssal black eyes.
"A main character, huh?" he said, nodding slightly as he tapped his chin. "And I’m not... the main character?"
