Turning around, Chloe York saw Brooke York. She raised an eyebrow. ’She’s like a ghost that won’t go away.’

"Chloe York, I’m a Southbend University student too, you know!" Brooke York said smugly, waving the acceptance letter in her hand.

"How do you have an acceptance letter from Southbend University?" Evan Shaw asked in surprise.

’As far as he knew, Brooke York had gotten zeros on every single subject. Wasn’t that a huge scandal online? People were saying she was going abroad.’

"It’s because the teachers made a mistake with the grades. My real score was actually high enough to meet Southbend’s admission cutoff. There should be a clarification about it online today."

Brooke York’s tone was smug as she walked past them with an air of triumph.

She acted as if she were the only one who had gotten into Southbend University, and everyone else could only stand at the gate and watch her walk onto campus.

"Seriously, what is she so smug about? We got into Southbend too. From the look on her face, you’d think we didn’t."

Evan Shaw didn’t understand what Brooke York had to be so smug about.

"If you could understand what she’s being smug about, wouldn’t that make you the same kind of person as her?" Chloe York retorted.
