Chapter 2025 - 1601: Leaving Early, Willful and Rash! (2)

"Alright, you guys carry on, we’re heading back to sleep on it!"

Sighing, Gu Changsheng called out to her evildoer and Shi Wujue and stood up first.

Since today there’s no clear winner, and we’re sitting in such a conspicuous place, there’s naturally no need for her to stay here!

We’d be better off returning to the Mercenary Alliance to recuperate during this time!

"You’re leaving? Already?" Yong Shu saw Gu Changsheng and the others stand up and promptly followed suit, his face full of confusion.

What?

Weren’t you guys just here?

The Divine Weapon Convention hasn’t even started, and these people who initially seemed enthusiastic now suddenly have no interest?

Even my master made special arrangements for them, asking me to accompany them!

These people are way too capricious and hasty, aren’t they?

"We’re leaving, leaving. The selection doesn’t mean much; I just need to know the results..."

Waving her hand, Gu Changsheng turned and walked off the platform.

This time, even without Yong Shu guiding the way, Gu Changsheng and her group moved effortlessly!

It’s a joke, the crowd is sharp-eyed; do you think they didn’t see this group of young people were sitting amid those elders from Smelting City!

Even if these faces look somewhat unfamiliar, it doesn’t stop their private speculation!

In their eyes, anyone sitting in that position must be not to be trifled with, so making way is essential!

Yong Shu stood dazedly on the platform, watching as Gu Changsheng and the others stepped off, unable to react immediately. Once he did, he hurried to follow!

"Ah! Right, Yong Shu, I need a favor from you. Go tell the client of my employment order that we’ll set out tomorrow. Ask them to wait for us at the checkpoint leading into the Divine Mount Qilian!"

As if suddenly remembering something, Gu Changsheng turned back to Yong Shu, speaking in a tone more like an order than a request, but the commander wasn’t Yong Shu, it was the client who made the employment order!

Although Yong Shu silently complained in his mind, he nodded.

Joking aside, even my master can’t deal with this woman; what can I do?

My master said to obey and treat this as misfortune lucky that hasn’t befallen us too badly!

Although Yong Shu felt his master was exaggerating, he dared not refute Gu Changsheng’s words...

"Alright then, just keep this in mind, don’t let it hinder our journey tomorrow, no need to follow us back, we know the way back. Stay here and continue watching the Divine Weapon Convention!" Gu Changsheng said as Yong Shu nodded, once again waving her hand and turning to follow the self-cleared path through the crowd.

This time, Gu Changsheng and her group didn’t even look back.

Gu Changsheng’s sudden departure made the atmosphere on the platform tense and awkward...

Ever since Yong Shu’s exclamation about taking the Seven Apertures Exquisite Lamp, Alliance Leader Yong Qing had been on edge, and now watching Gu Changsheng leave as if nothing happened, he didn’t know whether to feel relieved or even more worried...

Why are they leaving?

That ancestor clearly cared about the Divine Weapon Convention, so why come and leave suddenly?

This is not her style!

"Yong Qing, this is your good person you brought! How dare she disrespect the Divine Weapon Convention, doesn’t she care about Smelting City!" The Metallurgy Alliance Leader couldn’t hold back any longer, the Divine Weapon Convention of Smelting City has been held for countless years, never before has there been someone judging on the platform to leave early!

And notably, the seat was one that Yong Qing insisted to add!

Reflecting on his decisiveness in forcing that seating, and watching that group of young people leave without hesitation, the elders on the platform suddenly felt as if they’d been slapped in the face, burning hot...

Didn’t they see our brand-new clothes, all prepared and grand?

How could there be someone so clueless, is this a heaven-sent face-slapper?

"Hmph!"

"Yong Qing, this time you’ve gone too far!"

"..."

With the Metallurgy Alliance Leader speaking first, the surrounding elders all looked reproachfully at Alliance Leader Yong Qing.

Alliance Leader Yong Qing acted as if he didn’t hear the reproaches around him, peering with his toes at the departing figure of Gu Changsheng, feeling his heart racing with anxiety!

Why did they suddenly change their plans to leave?

What could be the reason?

Alliance Leader Yong Qing couldn’t figure it out!

Although Gu Changsheng’s actions seem capricious and hasty, knowing her identity, Yong Qing hardly blames her!

As for what the Metallurgy Alliance Leader said, about disrespecting the Divine Weapon Convention and Smelting City...

Ask yourself, she’s the undisputed ruler of the Central Plains, the Southern Emperor Changsheng with worldwide respect, what reason does she have to regard the Smelting City and Divine Weapon Convention?

Her capriciousness is backed by rightful eligibility!

However, Alliance Leader Yong Qing’s concern is why did Gu Changsheng suddenly change her mind?

This left him feeling unsettled...

Ignoring the surrounding reproaches, Alliance Leader Yong Qing hurriedly headed towards his disciple Yong Shu to understand the situation...
